The skeleton-robed man's face was grim.
He never expected that Lin Yang had discovered the existence of the Gu worm long ago and had even deactivated it beforehand.
"Damn it, when exactly did you do this?!"
Lin Yang smiled and lightly tapped the phone screen with his fingertip.
After leaving the White Pagoda, Lin Yang discovered that the signal had returned.
"Lin Yang! He's gone!"
Ding Na's voice came through the phone, and a black yacht slowly emerged from the seabed.
Without hesitation, Lin Yang called out to Jiang Nan and the trapped children, then turned and ran.
The skeletal figure in black robes tried to stop them, but found that, without them noticing, all of his men had fallen unconscious!
"Lin Yang, are you alright?"
Ding Na walked out and looked at Lin Yang with concern, but Lin Yang shook his head.
"I'm alright, but I'm more worried about the children."
"I'll go check on their situation first."
“Okay.” Ding Na nodded. “I’ll go with you.”
"Jiangnan, what are you going to do about this?"
Lin Yang had already told Ding Na what had happened on the island, and Jiang Nan had also been tied up by Ding Na.
Lin Yang smiled bitterly: "Jiangnan had no choice but to do this for the sake of those children. I can't just kill her because of that, can I?"
"She almost killed you!"
Ding Na looked disapproving. She had always felt that Lin Yang's methods were too mild, whether dealing with enemies or traitors.
"Traitors deserve to be torn to pieces."
Lin Yang frowned.
"There's no need to go to such extremes."
Ding Na snorted coldly and remained silent.
Lin Yang entered the ship's interior, where the group of children he had rescued were quietly waiting.
His eyes were blank and vacant, showing neither the ruthless killing intent he had displayed during the battle nor the hatred he felt towards the man in black robes.
It's as if I've suddenly lost sight of the meaning of my life.
Lin Yang felt a pang of heartache as he looked at the boy, and he moved closer to the boy who was closest to him.
The boy felt him approach and his body trembled involuntarily. He focused his eyes and saw that the person was Lin Yang.
He opened his mouth in a hoarse voice.
"Thank you."
Thank you for saving us.
Lin Yang shook his head: "No need to thank us. We are the ones who are sorry for not protecting you well."
"Give me your hand, I'm a doctor, let me check your condition."
The boy obediently nodded, and Lin Yang took the boy's pulse.
The boy's pulse was slightly disordered and weak, possibly because he had just experienced a fight and had been abused.
Aside from that, there were some external injuries, some of which were serious but all were okay.
Lin Yang applied some medicine to the boy's wounds, gave him a few careful instructions, and then left to check on the other children.
Lin Yang breathed a sigh of relief as the other children's situations were similar to the boys'.
At least I'm still alive.
"You're safe now. Once you've recovered from your injuries, you can go home."
After Lin Yang finished speaking, the group of children still didn't react and remained in a daze.
About half a minute later, Lin Yang sighed and left the room, about to close the door.
"Wow!"
With a soft cry, someone burst into tears.
The children, who had been like wooden figures, seemed to have been turned on by this sound.
They all burst into tears.
Ding Na had somehow appeared behind Lin Yang, looking around the room with concern.
Are they really alright? Shouldn't we go and comfort them?
Lin Yang's eyes were deep and heavy as he gently shook his head.
"Physical wounds heal quickly, but psychological wounds are much harder to heal."
"let's go."
"Don't bother them anymore; they will comfort each other."
“They were scared when we went there.”
Ding Na nodded and sighed, "Then I'll go prepare dinner for them. They probably haven't had a proper meal in a long time."
Lin Yang nodded and watched Ding Na leave before turning back to the medical room inside the cabin.
This room was specially prepared by Ding Na for Lin Yang, with the purpose of facilitating Lin Yang's research and development of various medicinal herbs.
Lin Yang came here for one reason: he was running out of external wound medicine.
There were far too many injured children, and most of them had numerous, deep wounds.
The amount of medication used is naturally higher.
On another front, he wanted to study the amnesia pills recorded in ancient books.
He figured those kids probably didn't want this hellish memory.
Although they will forget the martial arts they learned here after forgetting this incident, they will also forget them.
But Lin Yang thought, compared to the loss of freedom and happiness, martial arts were something that could be gained through nightmares.
They probably want to return to a normal life even more.
When we return to the Rock Gang.
Lin Yang's new drug is almost finished, and it will be completed soon.
After briefly recounting his experiences on the island to the second leader of the Rock Gang, Lin Yang returned to research his new drug.
The group of children temporarily left with Ding Na, who said she would help them contact their families.
Before leaving, the child in the lead suddenly knelt down in front of Lin Yang.
"Thank you, thank you for saving us, thank you for saving Teacher Jiangnan."
"By the way, can we see Teacher Jiangnan again?"
Hearing the child's words, Lin Yang realized that he had almost forgotten about Jiangnan.
"What about Jiangnan?"
Lin Yang looked at Ding Na.
"Since you haven't said how to deal with her, I'll just lock her up for now."
Ding Na shrugged casually.
"Let her out. It's fine if she wants to stay with these children a little longer."
