Chapter Fifty-One: Human Life is as worthless as grass

"Help……"

On the ground, the middle-aged woman was convulsing more and more violently, and she was on the verge of losing her life.

Only then did a few Western doctors in white coats come to examine the woman. They wore masks and protective suits, squatted down, pried open the patient's eyes to take a look, then stood up, shook their heads, indicating that the woman was beyond saving, and prepared to leave.

Lin Yang was incredulous at what he saw.

He knew that the medical level in this small East Asian country was underdeveloped, but these Western doctors were clearly not limited by medical technology, but by their attitude!

We can't wait any longer!

"Make way!" Lin Yang pulled out the silver needles he always carried with him from his pocket and rushed forward without hesitation. He then used the needles on his arm to temporarily seal several acupoints.

Although the lockdown period was limited, it was sufficient to treat the patients.

Just as the medical staff were about to carry the middle-aged woman away, they saw Lin Yang rushing towards them. They were startled and thought he was some kind of robber who had suddenly appeared. They almost called the police.

“You can’t take her away. She’s in critical condition and will die if she doesn’t receive treatment soon.”

Lin Yang patiently tried to reason with them, but before he could finish speaking, a sneer came from behind him.

He turned around and saw an elderly man with white hair and beard behind him. The man also had black hair and black eyes and spoke fluent Mandarin. He was Chinese, just like Lin Yang: "Young man, you look young. You've only been a doctor for a few years, right?"

“I know you want to treat and save lives, but sometimes you have to accept reality. Just let her go in peace. Don’t make things difficult. No matter how much you try, it will be in vain.”

Further away, Liu Baohua and his group also noticed Lin Yang's appearance. They stopped recording the program and just stood there, watching and waiting to see Lin Yang make a fool of himself.

Liu Baohua was originally thinking about how to embarrass Lin Yang, but he didn't expect the opportunity to come so quickly.

What's the difference between Lin Yang's actions and him offering his face to be hit?

"Reporter Wang, quickly tell the photographer to record the entire process of Lin Yang showing off without missing a single detail and post it on an international forum. It will definitely cause a sensation."

He grinned maliciously, extremely pleased with himself.

One is a clueless young man, and the other is Ouyang Jianfei, a renowned master of Western medicine. Even a three-year-old could tell who won and who lost, who was right and who was wrong.

"What are you saying? What do you mean it's a waste of time?" Lin Yang almost doubted his ears. "How do you know if you haven't even tried it!"

Isn't this old man also a doctor?

As a doctor, it is one’s duty to do everything possible to snatch people from the clutches of death. The patient clearly could still be saved, so why did he pronounce a death sentence on him with just a few words?

"You really won't give up until you've hit rock bottom."

Ouyang Jianfei glanced helplessly at Lin Yang, with an expression that said, "He's a young man, I understand." He then winked at his assistant behind him and said, "Go get the antibiotics from my spare medicine box, and get an adrenaline injection. I'll give her emergency treatment."

"What!" The assistant behind him was so anxious that his voice was trembling. "Mr. Ouyang, this disease is highly contagious and the cause is unknown. There is currently no specific cure. Please don't joke around with your health!"

"It's alright."

Ouyang Jianfei appeared calm and collected, but secretly glared at his assistant from an angle unseen by others.

He's not stupid; of course he wouldn't risk his life to save a patient who's almost certainly going to die.

But with so many people at the airport now, if he doesn't step in, his reputation will definitely suffer a lot after he returns home. Who can bear that responsibility?

For the sake of reputation, at least do some symbolic work.

"What's the use of antibiotics and adrenaline, sir? If you're not going to treat me properly, please step aside and I'll treat you!"

If antibiotics were effective, infectious diseases wouldn't have developed to such a terrible state.

Lin Yang didn't want to waste any more precious time, so he took a step forward, intending to bypass Ouyang Jianfei and go to help the middle-aged woman, but his assistant stopped him.

"How dare you speak to Mr. Ouyang like that? Mr. Ouyang has extremely high attainments in medicine, has won numerous awards and published countless papers throughout his life. Who do you think you are to dare to spout nonsense like this!"

"I don't have time to explain!"

Lin Yang didn't recognize Ouyang Jianfei at first, but when he heard his assistant calling him "Old Mr. Ouyang" repeatedly, he vaguely remembered his identity. But at this moment, he didn't care about anything else. He pushed his assistant aside, rushed to the middle-aged woman, and swiftly inserted five silver needles.

Passersby only saw a few flashes of silver light and didn't see Lin Yang's movements at all. Within a few breaths, the woman stopped convulsing and vomiting, and her breathing gradually stabilized.

"That's it?"

"No way, isn't this disease supposed to be hard to cure? I didn't see this kid give that woman any injections or medicine, or poke her with something a couple of times and she was fine?"

"I think I've heard of it. It's a kind of Chinese medicine called acupuncture, which is a treatment method in traditional Chinese medicine."

"Acupuncture? Never heard of it."

The magical scene was witnessed by everyone around, and they began to discuss it, their gazes towards Lin Yang changing.

Ouyang Jianfei and his assistant stood there, their faces tense.

It really cured it?

"Mr. Ouyang, could this kid be in cahoots with the patient? We've been researching treatment plans for so long without any results, and he's accomplished it all on his first visit? That's impossible. It's a publicity stunt, definitely a publicity stunt."

The assistant couldn't believe his eyes and muttered to himself, refusing to admit that Lin Yang had solved the problem that had troubled them for so long with just a pair of silver needles.

"Acupuncture... Ha, it's just a scam."

Ouyang Jianfei's face turned ashen.

Having studied Western medicine for many years, he naturally knows that Western medicine is the most reliable way to treat diseases.

So-called traditional Chinese medicine is nothing more than ancient people who, lacking advanced scientific research technology, could only alleviate their symptoms by picking wildflowers and weeds from the roadside. What is there to praise about it?

But how do you explain this scene?

In the distance, Liu Baohua also clenched his fists.

"Mr. Liu, should we keep this video recording?" Reporter Wang was embarrassed and didn't know what to do. He was holding the camera, unsure whether to go in or back.

Liu Baohua gritted his teeth: "Keep it, of course we must keep it!"

"The patient recovered after taking Mr. Ouyang's antibiotics. What does that have to do with Lin Yang?"

"Immediately contact domestic social media, arrange for the topic to trend, and say that Lin Yang disrespects medical seniors and treats patients' lives like dirt."

"Then, when combined with the exquisite and crucial elements of our Chinese Medicine Clinic, creating a stark contrast, I'd like to see how Lin Yang, now infamous, will ever be able to recover!"

Before long, the middle-aged woman had fully recovered.

She knelt on the ground and thanked Lin Yang profusely. She searched all her pockets and found only a few coins, which she insisted on giving to Lin Yang.

Lin Yang naturally did not accept it.
