More than a month has passed in the blink of an eye. These days, Lin Yang goes to that abandoned base whenever he has free time.
He wasn't looking for anything in particular; he just thought that maybe he'd stumble upon someone from the Skull Organization by sheer luck.
Ideally, it would be someone who knows the organization's new address.
"Huh? Who goes there! Show yourself!"
I thought this would be another fruitless trip, but I was surprised to find that as soon as I arrived at the base...
Lin Yang then noticed a suspicious aura following behind him.
The owner of the aura walked with heavy but not unsteady steps, suggesting he was skilled in martial arts but was injured.
"You perverted Japanese bastard, die!"
Upon hearing that Lin Yang had discovered him, the person hiding in the shadows stopped pretending and used a shard of porcelain, which appeared out of nowhere, to slash at Lin Yang's neck.
Lin Yang easily dodged the attacker's attack by turning to the side. His eyes narrowed, and he grabbed the attacker's wrist with his other hand and twisted it backward.
"ah!"
The boy who tried to ambush Lin Yang screamed as his arm dislocated.
Lin Yang frowned and easily subdued the boy with a backhand grab.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?"
Because of the boy's earlier cursing and his age.
Lin Yang did not suspect that the boy was a Japanese traitor.
Since they weren't Japanese traitors, Lin Yang became much gentler in his approach.
"I am your father!"
Even though he was subdued, the boy didn't back down at all. He glared fiercely at Lin Yang and was about to spit at him.
Lin Yang remained expressionless, but with lightning speed, he covered the boy's mouth and said, "I am not Japanese, I am Chinese."
"Waaaaah, then you're a traitor!"
Even with his mouth covered, the boy didn't forget to curse Lin Yang.
Lin Yang frowned: "I'm not. Where did you come from, kid? Do you know how dangerous this place is?"
"This is the lair of the Japanese underworld."
Lin Yang said, releasing the boy's mouth.
The boy scoffed, "Of course I know!"
"Who are you? Aren't you some big idiot from Japan?"
The boy was swearing and kept calling the Japanese idiots. Lin Yang was now completely certain of the boy's identity and explained.
"I am a member of the Chinese government sent to investigate this heretical organization, not a Japanese dog."
The boy looked at Lin Yang with a mixture of disbelief and skepticism.
How do you prove it?
"Tell me who you are and what you're doing here."
Lin Yang explained patiently.
"I was the unlucky guy who was kidnapped here before, but I escaped."
"But I'm afraid of implicating my family, so I have nowhere to go."
The boy's voice was low and hoarse, and his eyes were red.
"Is it true that you're not Japanese? If you're not, why are you here?"
Seeing the boy's reaction, Lin Yang didn't hide anything: "I saved a woman who claimed to be the coach of Skull Gate before, and she brought me here."
"We originally intended to wipe them out in one fell swoop, but we didn't expect that they had already disappeared."
"I figured since they'd been here before, they might come back, so I decided to wait and see."
"Wait a minute, you said you know Teacher Jiangnan!"
The boy suddenly looked up, his eyes shining with excitement.
"I know the organization's new location. I escaped and ran here hoping to run into Teacher Jiangnan!"
Lin Yang's eyes lit up with joy: "Tell me the location of the organization, and I'll take you to see Jiang Nan."
"Deal, but brother, could you please press my arm back down first? It hurts quite a bit."
After confirming that Lin Yang was indeed one of their own, the boy visibly relaxed and grimaced in pain.
Lin Yang quickly pressed the boy's arm back down. While pressing, Lin Yang noticed that the boy had many new and old wounds on his body.
A hint of heartache appeared in Lin Yang's eyes; these were the flowers of their motherland.
"My name is Lin Yang. What's your name? How old are you?"
"My name is Liu Chen, and I just turned fifteen this year."
The boy answered.
While chatting with Liu Chen, Lin Yang led Liu Chen toward the Rock Gang.
"What other information do you know about the Skull Organization? Tell me everything."
Liu Chen kept his mouth shut. Although his attitude towards Lin Yang had improved considerably, he also stated that he would not reveal any more information until he saw his teacher, Jiang Nan.
Left with no other choice, Lin Yang could only take Liu Chen back to the gang first.
During this time, in order to get Liu Chen to reveal the exact location of the Skull Gate, Lin Yang even made a special phone call to Jiang Nan.
The two of them reminisced for a while.
"Lin Yang! Jiang Chen!"
Lin Yang saw Jiang Nan waiting at the entrance of the Rock Gang from afar.
Jiang Nan's injuries have mostly healed, and now her complexion is rosy and radiant, making her skin appear even more supple and gentle.
"Teacher Jiang!"
Upon seeing Jiangnan, Liu Chen's previously confused expression instantly cleared, his eyes reddened, and he rushed towards Jiangnan.
Jiangnan's eyes also reddened when he saw Liu Chen: "How did you escape? Are the others alright?"
When they were on the phone just now, they were so busy crying and caring for each other that they forgot to ask about the others.
Perhaps one dares not ask and the other dares not speak.
"Wang Yang is dead, and Brother Jie is dead too. They killed so many people..."
"I escaped during the chaos when they were moving their base."
"Teacher Jiang! They've moved to a small island in international waters, saying they're going to do some kind of closed training."
"They probably thought I didn't know the location of the island, but I overheard them talking about it when I was hiding in a corner."
"Really? That's great!"
Jiangnan was somewhat downcast after hearing about the death of another student.
His eyes lit up when he heard that Liu Chen actually knew about the Skull Gate's new stronghold.
She looked at Lin Yang pleadingly, "Can you come with me to save them?"
"Please, I know this request might be unreasonable."
"certainly."
Lin Yang looked at Jiang Nan and Liu Chen with heartache: "Even if you hadn't said anything, I would have gone!"
Jiangnan was overjoyed and hugged Lin Yang tightly.
"Lin Yang, thank you so much. I really don't know how to thank you enough."
As Jiangnan spoke, tears streamed down her face.
Lin Yang carefully wiped away Jiang Nan's tears.
Liu Chen remained silent to the side, seemingly lost in thought.
After a while, Jiangnan's excitement subsided, and she shyly got out of Lin Yang's arms.
Liu Chen looked up at Lin Yang and Jiang Nan, somewhat hesitant.
"What's wrong?"
Lin Yang asked in a gentle voice.
"I heard that to enter islands in international waters, you have to go through a lot of registration procedures, which is very troublesome."
"The paperwork alone will take a long time. Can we really get there in time?"
"It might be another case of the place being deserted."
After hearing Liu Chen's words, Jiang Nan, who had been excited, suddenly fell silent.
"If you really need a pass, I can help you get one."
The three of them turned around at the same time, and Ding Na, wearing a tight leather outfit that accentuated her beautiful figure, appeared not far away.
Ding Na glanced at Liu Chen, then looked at Lin Yang.
