Lin Yang's gaze swept casually over the surrounding stalls.
The vendors' eyes lit up the moment they saw Lin Yang.
"Young man, come over here and see what you can tell from so far away. All of my goods are top-quality finished products. If it weren't for my family's decline, I would have sold them all!"
“My mother is seriously ill again, and I will never sell these family heirlooms.”
The vendor shook his head and sighed as he spoke, his eyes instantly turning red with sadness and grief.
He hadn't said more than a few words before he sighed several times.
Lin Yang raised an eyebrow and squatted down.
His knowledge of antiques and collectibles, while not as profound as his medical skills, was not entirely ignorant either.
Of these items, nine out of ten are genuine; not a single one is authentic.
"What dynasty or era are all these things of yours from?"
Lin Yang casually picked up a fake porcelain item and looked at the vendor.
"this?"
The street vendors also reacted quickly.
"This is a precious treasure from the Tang Dynasty."
The porcelain in Lin Yang's hand is probably a replica of the celadon porcelain that only existed in the Song Dynasty. The real celadon porcelain looks like jade but is not jade.
The glaze color is between bluish-white and is something that only appeared in the Song Dynasty.
Although porcelain was popular in the Tang Dynasty, celadon porcelain did not yet exist.
The most famous item during the Tang Dynasty was Tang Sancai (Tang tri-color pottery). Although it included celadon and white porcelain, it was completely different from the later celadon and white porcelain.
How much do you sell this for?
Lin Yang casually tossed the porcelain in his hand, showing no intention of buying it; he was simply asking.
"You idiot!"
Upon hearing Lin Yang's question, the vendor, thinking Lin Yang believed his nonsense, immediately held up two fingers.
Lin Yang twitched his lips; this was truly undisguised.
"Isn't that too expensive? Will you sell it for 2.5 yuan?"
Lin Yang bargained.
"Sell!"
The vendor nodded in agreement without hesitation, showing no intention of pretending.
Lin Yang was speechless for a moment.
Do you have any better quality goods here?
I want the real thing.
The vendor realized he had met someone knowledgeable and immediately lost interest.
"How come mine isn't considered a genuine product anymore?"
It's just that the dynasty is different.
"Modern genuine products are still genuine products."
Lin Yang ignored the vendor's nonsense, put down what he was holding, and turned to look elsewhere.
The other vendors around also overheard Lin Yang's conversation with them and realized he was an expert, so they stopped bothering to hawk their wares.
"Young man, would you like to take a look at my Tang tri-colored pottery? Guaranteed authentic!"
"Really? I think this bottle is quite pretty."
A conversation piqued Lin Yang's interest.
Lin Yang walked over and saw a little girl squatting curiously in front of an old lady's stall.
Everything on the stall was obviously fake.
"That's a really good thing you're holding. You have a good eye, young lady."
The old woman, seeing that the little girl was naive and easily fooled, immediately perked up.
"Even though we're destined to meet, I won't take more than you, thirty-eight thousand!"
Lin Yang couldn't help but step forward after hearing this.
"You're really daring to ask for a price for this doll graffiti."
"Young lady, don't be fooled. Go search on Taobao, this kind of thing isn't even worth 38 yuan."
Seeing that her deception had been exposed, the old lady glared angrily at Lin Yang.
The little girl took out her phone with some skepticism, and sure enough, she found the exact same one. She could buy two for nine yuan and ninety cents.
She looked at Lin Yang with gratitude.
"Thank you, brother."
Lin Yang waved his hand dismissively and gave the little girl a few more instructions.
The old lady was immediately annoyed.
"Why are you ruining someone's business, you young man?"
The old lady grabbed Lin Yang as she spoke, seemingly unwilling to let him leave.
"That's right, the rule here is that it's a willing buyer and a willing seller, so how can we ruin someone's business?"
More and more people are visibly looking in this direction.
Lin Yang didn't want to attract too much attention.
"How about I buy one of your fans, and we'll be even?"
Lin Yang raised an eyebrow and looked at the old lady.
The old lady knew it was unfair of her not to do this, but she came over to help ease the burden on her son and daughter.
"Okay, two hundred and eighty."
This time, the old lady didn't ask for an exorbitant price, although it was still somewhat outrageous.
But 280 yuan is not a lot of money for Lin Yang.
Moreover, that fan always gave Lin Yang an unusual feeling.
Seeing Lin Yang readily pay, the old lady beamed with joy.
The old lady let go of Lin Yang's hand.
"Young man, take whichever fan you like!"
Lin Yang casually picked up the fan he had previously set his sights on, then turned and left.
It seems there's nothing genuine here.
Lin Yang didn't want to waste any more time.
"Grandma, where's that fan I asked you to save for me?"
Not long after Lin Yang left, a well-dressed man came to the old lady's stall.
The old lady slapped her forehead and suddenly remembered.
In the morning, he noticed that the man was dressed in an extraordinary manner and took an interest in a fan, which aroused his greed.
He asked someone for 280,000.
Later, the man couldn't come up with the money right away, so he told her to leave the fan there while he went back to get the money.
She had initially thought it meant he didn't want it anymore and was still regretting it, but she never expected that the man would actually come.
The old lady immediately regretted it.
"What a pity, a young man just bought it."
The old lady described Lin Yang's appearance and clothing to the trendy man.
The well-dressed man cursed under his breath after hearing this, "Damn it, where did he go?"
The old lady thought for a moment and then pointed the man in a direction.
