Chapter 170 Healing and Ambiguity

Lin Yang felt a little awkward and stiff. He couldn't just withdraw his hand, but he also couldn't continue touching it.

Jiang Nan bit her lip, adjusted her body, moved her chest away from Lin Yang's hand, and instead leaned her shoulder against Lin Yang.

Lin Yang noticed Jiang Nan's subtle movement; his Adam's apple bobbed twice, and he spoke softly.

"I just contacted my friend, and she should be sending someone over soon."

"You can lean against me for a while, you don't have to force yourself."

"Okay, thank you, Lin Yang."

Jiangnan's voice is low, soft, and melodious, just like her name, which has the gentleness unique to Jiangnan folk songs.

"You don't always have to say thank you. I saved you once, and you saved me once, so we're even."

As soon as Lin Yang finished speaking, a low-key black minivan sped over.

"Lin Yang, are you alright?"

Ding Na hurriedly got out of the car.

"I'm fine. Please open the back door for me. It's Jiangnan who's in trouble."

"I need to give her some basic first aid."

Lin Yang looked at Jiang Nan, who was already in a semi-comatose state, and felt a little anxious.

Ding Na's wary gaze swept over Jiangnan.

Is she safe?

Lin Yang knew what Ding Na was asking, and he shook his head and then nodded.

"She just saved me."

So he must not be a bad person, otherwise she could have just watched him die.

Ding Na didn't say anything, but helped Lin Yang move the completely unconscious Jiang Nan into the car.

The three returned to the Rock Gang. Lin Yang first helped Jiang Nan treat his wounds, and then called Ding Na to go to the Rock Gang's meeting room together.

Shi Xiao had been waiting inside for quite some time.

"How is it? I heard from Dina that you're being chased by the Black Skull again?"

"This time their target isn't me, it's Jiangnan. She might really be Black Skull's former coach."

"But they probably don't mean us any harm."

“I found the Black Skull symbol at that abandoned organization base, and Jiangnan also said that the place is called Skull Gate.”

Lin Yang recounted being chased in the afternoon.

He also carefully recounted to Shi Xiao the two things: finding the former stronghold of the Black Skull organization with Jiang Nan.

"So what are you planning to do next?"

Shi Xiao first showed concern for Lin Yang's wounds before asking what was wrong.

"I plan to go there and take a look when I have some free time in the next few days."

"Let's see if we can find any new clues over there."

"Because Jiangnan was there in the morning, I didn't have time to observe carefully."

Lin Yang said with some regret.

"If I had known there was no problem in Jiangnan, I should have stayed at that base longer. Maybe I could have discovered something."

"It's best not to jump to conclusions. I haven't found any real information about Jiangnan yet," Ding Na said, glancing at Lin Yang with a subtle warning.

"After all, she was an instructor at the Skull Gate before, so finding out about her shouldn't be that easy."

Lin Yang tried to defend Jiang Nan, but under Ding Na's veiled warning gaze, Lin Yang's voice gradually faded.

After a brief meeting, Lin Yang left.

The next morning.

Lin Yang woke up from his sleep, tidied up briefly, and went to Jiangnan's room.

"Jiangnan, are you awake?"

Lin Yang knocked lightly on the door.

"You're awake! Don't come in yet, wait a moment!"

A somewhat flustered voice came from inside the house.

Lin Yang waited quietly for a while, and only went in after confirming that Jiangnan was ready.

"Who changed my clothes yesterday?"

Jiangnan hesitated for a long time before finally speaking.

Lin Yang was taken aback and realized what Jiang Nan was asking before awkwardly speaking.

"It's me."

At the time, he was only focused on looking at the other person's wounds and didn't think too much about it, so he simply tore off the person's clothes and threw them away.

Even when bandaging, only the doctor showed concern for the patient.

But now, after Jiangnan's reminder, Lin Yang realized that this was inappropriate.

"Then wouldn't you be... wouldn't you be..."

Jiangnan's face flushed crimson with embarrassment, her heart raced, and she was extremely ashamed and annoyed.

She glared at Lin Yang with a coquettish expression.

Lin Yang awkwardly explained, "I didn't look at it carefully!"

"It's not that I didn't look at it."

Lin Yang felt that the more he tried to explain, the worse things got.

"I need to administer acupuncture to speed up the healing of your wound and also apply medicine for you. It's not appropriate for you to do it yourself."

In the end, Lin Yang could only offer this awkward explanation.

Jiang Nan's face turned bright red. She wanted to refuse, but Lin Yang's attitude was exceptionally firm on this matter.

"We have a normal doctor-patient relationship, so you don't need to feel guilty."

"Besides, I already have a family."

"Yeah?"

Although Jiang Nan already knew that Lin Yang was married, she still felt a strange sense of loss when Lin Yang said it himself.

Lin Yang nodded, feeling a pang of heartache as he looked at Jiang Nan's pale face. "It might hurt a bit when we clean the wound and apply the acupuncture later."

"If you can't stand it, you can hold on to me."

As Lin Yang spoke, he revealed his lean and toned forearms.

"But don't grab your right hand, otherwise it will be inconvenient for treatment."

Lin Yang chuckled softly.

Jiangnan nodded obediently and grabbed Lin Yang's shirt.

Lin Yang took off Jiang Nan's clothes, revealing her snow-white skin.

Jiangnan's body was completely naked, except for the neatly bandaged white gauze.

Lin Yang will soon reveal the truth.

Lin Yang's Adam's apple bobbed; he hadn't thought anything of it until he was reminded.

Today, after being reminded by Jiang Nan, Lin Yang's gaze began to unconsciously wander to places he shouldn't be looking at.

Jiangnan's eyes were tightly closed, her eyelashes trembling slightly.
