"Why am I suddenly starting to doubt it?"
Lin Yang's heart raced. He had been careless and too hasty, actually asking the question directly.
Lin Yang reached for the silver needles, ready to fight to the death at any moment.
However, if it really comes down to a life-or-death situation, they will probably only have a slim chance of survival.
"What are you doing!" Another voice came, and a squinty-eyed man who was about the same height as Lin Yang appeared.
The squinty-eyed man seemed to recognize Lin Yang, or more accurately, he recognized Lin Yang disguised as 'Miyano Ichiro'.
“Miyano is my younger brother,” he said, squinting at the man with the mustache.
"Younger brother?" The man with the mustache looked at the two and realized that they did indeed look somewhat alike.
The person with squinty eyes seems to be of a slightly higher status than the person with the mustache.
Hearing the squinty-eyed man say that, the man with the mustache hesitated: "Since he's your younger brother, Miyano, you should keep an eye on him."
"No unauthorized personnel are allowed to enter the White Pagoda!"
"I called them here." The man with narrowed eyes showed no fear as he looked at Lin Yang and Jiang Nan and waved to them.
Lin Yang followed without hesitation, squinting his eyes, and turned back to signal Jiang Nan to follow as well.
The man with the mustache took a deep breath, glanced at the squinty-eyed man, and ultimately said nothing. He then put away the gun on the wall and left.
Squinty-eyed walked ahead, with Lin Yang and Jiang Nan following closely behind.
Finally, he squinted and spoke: "Why did you suddenly decide to work hard?"
"I originally wanted you to be an instructor, but you complained that it was too tiring."
"Later I mentioned that you would be a researcher in the organization's laboratory, and you said you were afraid."
"If it weren't for me, you wouldn't even be qualified to be a guard on the island."
"But it's good that you know how to work hard now."
With narrowed eyes, he reached out and patted Lin Yang's shoulder, then paused and his expression suddenly changed: "Are you or Miyano Ichiro?"
