Chapter Sixty-Nine: Making a Name for Oneself

"You! Lin Yang, look what you've done!"

The blond man pounded his chest in anger, feeling that Lin Yang was taking the opportunity to retaliate and was talking nonsense.

He rolled up his sleeves, about to rush forward and punch Lin Yang, but was blocked by the bald-headed leader, who glared at him threateningly: "What do you want to do? I'm still here, are you rebelling?"

The blond man screamed wildly, "Madmen! They're all madmen! This huge rescue center is so respectful to a fraudulent doctor from China, what are they trying to do?"

Snap!

The person in charge slapped him again, showing no mercy whatsoever.

Now, everyone fell silent.

Instead of chattering here, you should think about how to apologize to me when your brother wakes up.

Lin Yang leaned back leisurely in his chair, finally giving the blond man a proper look.

“Your brother could have gotten better with just some Chinese medicine, but after all that trouble you just went through, he will need extra care to fully recover.”

"If the apology doesn't satisfy me, I won't prescribe any medicine."

The blond man's eyes turned even redder, with bloodshot veins filling his entire eyeballs, making him look terrifying.

"You want me to apologize? With your quack-like medical skills, if my brother gets better, I'll kneel down and call you 'Dad'! Didn't you see my brother is spitting blood? Hurry up and think of a solution. If he dies, you'll have to stay here and be buried with him today!"

"Cough...cough!"

As luck would have it, the man on the hospital bed gradually stopped coughing and slowly opened his eyes as soon as the blond man finished speaking.

"Where am I?"

Seeing their companion regain consciousness, everyone rushed over, overjoyed.

Blonde men are no exception.

He stumbled and fell to the bedside, his hand trembling as he grasped his brother's: "Brother, you're awake? Are you feeling any better?"

"Much better..."

The patient's voice was still weak, but his condition had visibly improved considerably. At least the vital signs on the monitoring equipment had stabilized within those ten minutes, and he was out of danger.

"Hehe, so what? Do you still think traditional Chinese medicine is a scam?"

Lin Yang stood up and stared at the crowd in front of him.

"Traditional Chinese medicine is a medical system that has been accumulated over thousands of years in China. If it were a scam, how could it have developed to this day?"

"In nature, some intelligent animals know to seek out herbs when they are sick. Don't many substances in your proud Western medicine also come from natural plants and animals? Traditional Chinese medicine is the same, just with a different extraction method. How can that be considered a scam?"

After the explanation of the principle, among the beautiful Chinese people, a younger female doctor pushed up her glasses and muttered softly, "What he said seems to make some sense."

Most of the substances in Western medicines were originally discovered in nature and then synthesized on a large scale.

It's perfectly normal for traditional Chinese medicine to extract ingredients from flowers and herbs.

As soon as he finished speaking, several more American doctors nodded and fell into deep thought.

"The principle has been explained clearly. Whether you believe it or not is your business."

“But now, it’s an undeniable fact that I’ve healed your companion. Who was it that said they were going to kneel down and call me dad? Hurry up and finish calling me dad, I want to go back and get some sleep.”

As he said this, Lin Yang yawned and stretched.

This lazy demeanor made the blond man even more furious, but he didn't know how to retort.

After all, his brother was indeed saved by this man he called a fraud.

You're lying!

Even when faced with the facts, he remained stubborn and refused to admit defeat.

"We extract substances using precise laboratory procedures, resulting in high purity and good efficacy. What's with boiling it in water? You must have secretly added hormones..."

Snap!

A third slap rang out.

The person in charge couldn't stand it any longer and angrily stepped forward to slap the blond man again, then kicked him hard in the knee.

Caught off guard, the blond man knelt down with a thud.

"Fools! Lin Yang already showed you the medicinal herbs. There's nothing extra besides Chinese herbs. I personally oversaw the entire decoction process right under your noses. Did you see me add anything?"

"Or do you think the entire rescue center is helping to scam people?"

The person in charge was furious and wished he could kick this clueless guy out immediately.

Lin Yang shrugged and smiled at the blond man kneeling on the ground, who seemed at a loss: "Go ahead and call me that, my good son."

The blond man's face flushed red and then turned pale as he tried to look to his companion for help.

The others quickly moved away.

They didn't want to see their colleague humiliated, but the head of the Southeast Asia Rescue Center was standing right there, clearly siding with Lin Yang. They couldn't just openly oppose someone else on their own turf, could they?

Moreover, putting aside the question of whether traditional Chinese medicine as a whole is reliable, Lin Yang has indeed made a contribution in this matter.

"What are you still standing there for? You said you wanted to call, no one forced you." The person in charge, fearing Lin Yang's displeasure, glared fiercely at the blond man, aggressively pressing, "What, your medical skills are bad enough, but you can't even do something as simple as keeping your word?"

"I……"

The blond man gritted his teeth, his fists clenched tightly. Just as he was about to stand up and fight back, he saw his brother on the hospital bed cough again, blood spilling from the corner of his mouth.

Oh no.

If what Lin Yang said is true, then the brother's follow-up treatment will still depend on Lin Yang's prescriptions.

Thinking of this, the blond man clenched his fists even tighter, but then could only resign himself to letting go.

He stared intently at Lin Yang, forcing out two short syllables through gritted teeth: "Dad."

"Good, good, good son."

Lin Yang laughed loudly, picked up the paper and pen on the table, wrote a few lines at random, and turned to leave.

Another week has passed.

Thanks to Lin Yang's traditional Chinese medicine prescription, the number of patients decreased by half in just a few days. He also taught every household how to use traditional Chinese medicine to filter natural spring water and improve water quality.

And so, the reputation of Chinese medicine spread throughout Southeast Asia.

Even the American doctor who had previously questioned Lin Yang's TCM practice as a scam has formally apologized to Lin Yang, saying he is willing to reconsider and properly view TCM.

However, some people are still unconvinced.

For example, Liu Baohua.

The reputation of traditional Chinese medicine has spread, and in addition to Lin Yang, the Chinese Medicine Clinic that came to Southeast Asia to provide support has also benefited.

If things ended here, the Chinese Medicine Clinic would have made a fortune—they did nothing and still managed to win by following in Lin Yang's footsteps. What else could it be but a profit?

Unfortunately, Liu Baohua remained restless.

For several days in a row, he spent money to buy various press releases and trending topics, trying to attribute all the credit for traditional Chinese medicine to the China Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum.

As for Lin Yang, Liu Baohua didn't mention him at all.
