Chapter Thirty-One: The Benevolence of a Healer

Wang Yuwei smiled and said with her hands behind her back, "Let Lin Yang go and take a look. He's the one who cured my grandfather's illness."

Zhang Yunruo rolled her eyes at Lin Yang and said disdainfully, "Since you insist, sister, let him come up. He can only stand outside the door, he can't go in."

Lin Yang thought the black tea in his hand was quite delicious. If Wang Yuwei hadn't pulled him, he wouldn't have moved his butt.

Once we got to the second floor, before we could even see each other from the doorway, Zhang Yunruo deliberately blocked our view with her body.

After he led Wang Yuwei inside, she immediately closed the door behind her.

The movement was so fluid and graceful that Lin Yang was truly impressed.

"Brother Zhang, Lin Yang hasn't come in yet!"

Wang Yuwei reached out to open the door, but Zhang Yunruo grabbed her hand and wouldn't let go.

"Yuwei, you know, it's one thing to spend a little money to have fun, but why did you get so carried away? This kind of penniless guy isn't even in the same social class as you or me. Your relationship can't last!"

“Brother Zhang, Lin Yang is a good person. You don’t understand him. If you knew how amazing he is, you would understand me.”

Zhang Yunruo watched Wang Yuwei pull her hand away with a hint of reluctance, then said maliciously, "Little sister, you only think someone like this, whom you'd find in the trash, is good because your parents aren't around. If you went abroad and saw for yourself—"

"Knock knock knock!"

"who?"

Zhang Yunruo asked coldly, knowing that if it were Lin Yang, he would not hesitate to get angry.

"Young master, the doctor has arrived."

Upon hearing this, Zhang Yunruo opened the door and breathed a sigh of relief when she found that Lin Yang was no longer outside.

Where is the doctor?

Aunt Li pointed downstairs: "They're talking to Miss Wang's guests down there."

Wang Yuwei went around to the second floor and leaned on the wooden railing to look down.

"So you invited Doctor Ge."

Zhang Yunruo straightened her tie: "Isn't it worlds apart from you medical students?"

"Dr. Ge, now is not the time to chat, the patient is waiting!"

Zhang Yunruo gave the order with great displeasure.

Even though Doctor Ge was a highly sought-after traditional Chinese medicine doctor in Qincheng, Zhang Yunruo didn't actually have much trust or respect for her.

Ge Qingyun said directly, "With my master here, I don't need to go upstairs."

Lin Yang shook his head: "You go ahead. I was about to go check it out, but someone else rushed down. My legs aren't very good, and it won't be easy for me to climb the stairs a second time."

Upon hearing this, Ge Qingyun immediately said, "Offending Master is offending me. I'm busy right now; he's called me more than ten times. I'll go over first."

After saying this to Lin Yang, Ge Qingyun ignored Zhang Yunruo and left.

"This is a doctor? Such poor professionalism! I knew I would have avoided all this trouble if I had just gone abroad!"

As Zhang Yunruo was complaining, coughing sounds came from inside the room, followed by vomiting.

It sounds pretty serious, like you're going to vomit up all your internal organs.

Zhang Yunruo felt disgusted and refused to go in, instructing the caregiver to hurry up and tidy up.

Wang Yuwei felt sorry for Lin Yang and came downstairs to comfort him.

"I know you won't stop helping people get treatment because of these things, right?"

Lin Yang smiled slightly. He had also heard the patient's cries of pain. Even if Wang Yuwei didn't come down, he would still go up.

Zhang Yunruo stood at the doorway, avoiding eye contact, and didn't say a word, as if she was sulking.

However, Lin Yang had no intention of paying attention to him and went straight in to check on the patient.

Lying on the bed was a tall, middle-aged man with a refined appearance; a pair of glasses sat on the bedside table.

He's now so ill he looks completely different. His eyes are sunken and bluish, his lips are purple, his face is pale, and the area around his lips is black. He's clearly vomiting everything he eats, and if this continues, he won't live for more than a few days.

Lin Yang frowned slightly. At such a young age, his internal organs were already damaged like this. He must have had a poor constitution since childhood and probably had a chronic illness.

Judging from his coughing and vomiting, he probably has lung problems and digestive issues as well.

And it's congenital!

This can lead to long-term weakness and fatigue in patients, making it difficult for them to eat much and causing them to be less active. If this is not taken seriously when the child is young and is simply attributed to their quiet nature, it may delay proper care.

As Lin Yang thought about it, he looked at Zhang Qiping's chest again. His pajamas had become too big and had slipped down because of his coughing, revealing the scars of his pacemaker.

It turns out that it was caused by congenital heart failure, resulting in weakness of the five internal organs.

After the diagnosis, Lin Yang turned to the caregiver and Li Ma standing beside him and asked, "Has Mr. Zhang been taking medication since he was a child? Has he never stopped?"

Li Ma, an elder in the Zhang family who had watched Zhang Qiping grow up, immediately nodded in agreement.

"When the master was born, he was put into a constant temperature room and was resuscitated several times. He barely survived."

"I have a heart condition and have had several surgeries. It's been very painful. I can't eat anything, and the yellow and green fluid I vomit is heartbreaking to see!"

"Later, the master's mother found a traditional Chinese medicine doctor and took medicine regularly, which helped her recover somewhat."

This coincided with Lin Yang's judgment.

Zhang Yunruo sneered from the side, "So what? Don't bring up the past, just talk about the present. Do you have any ideas?"

Lin Yang seemed not to hear him and turned to Li Ma, whom he cared about more, and said, "Help me take off his clothes, I need to administer acupuncture."

Li Ma agreed and started working.

Zhang Yunruo tried to stop her, but Wang Yuwei persuaded her and pulled her out.

Lin Yang carefully applied the acupuncture needles, which covered Zhang Qiping's body, but he avoided the heart meridian because Zhang had undergone surgery and he had to be careful.

An hour later, Lin Yang removed the needles and said to Li Ma, "The patient will wake up soon and will say he is hungry. Do not eat anything at this time. Drink water slowly first, and eat something after he stops vomiting."

"I wrote a prescription and went to the pharmacy to get it. For the first two days, I took it once in the morning and once in the evening. Later, when I took more food, I changed it to three times a day."

After explaining everything, Lin Yang rushed out.

Sure enough, they saw Zhang Yunruo harassing Wang Yuwei.

He grabbed Wang Yuwei's hand and forcefully pinned her against the wall. If Wang Yuwei hadn't dodged, he would have kissed her!

This scumbag! His own father is dying, and he's still chasing girls!

"Lin Yang!"

Lin Yang pushed Zhang Yunruo away with just one hand. Zhang Yunruo didn't feel much force, but she couldn't stand and took five steps back.

Once he stopped and chased after him, Lin Yang had already stepped on the gas.

"Don't associate with this fake foreigner anymore!"

Hearing this, Wang Yuwei suppressed a laugh and said, "Are you jealous?"

"right!"

Wang Yuwei smiled sweetly and said, "Actually, I don't really like Zhang Yunruo either, so I always avoid him. I won't talk to him unless you say something."

"But how is Uncle Zhang?"

Lin Yang relaxed a bit: "Do you still not trust me? Two months of rest will be enough to completely cure the illness and restore my health."

Wang Yuwei breathed a sigh of relief and clasped her hands together in prayer, saying, "Thank goodness you're here, Uncle Zhang will suffer less."

Lin Yang sighed and said, "I just hope that fake foreigner doesn't stop us, otherwise their family will be holding a funeral in a few days."
