Wang Yuwei, dressed in a long red dress, clung to him, looking delicate and boneless.
Lin Yang was so engrossed in watching that he lost himself in thought.
"Is this candlelight dinner to your liking?"
Wang Yuwei tilted her head, a playful smile on her lips.
Her slender fingers traced circles on Lin Yang's chest, subtly stirring his heartstrings.
Lin Yang snapped out of his daze and revealed a charming smile.
Lin Yang couldn't help but tilt his head to look at the lovely woman in front of him, and then pulled her into his arms.
"What you prepared is exactly what I wanted."
He spoke softly, as if with a kind of magic, making Wang Yuwei's heart tremble.
Lin Yang placed a kiss on her soft lips.
The two leaned on each other and slowly walked to the dining table.
The steak on the plate was cooked to perfection, emitting an enticing aroma.
Wang Yuwei picked up a bottle of red wine, gently swirled it, and gracefully poured a glass for Lin Yang and herself.
Lin Yang's eyes followed Wang Yuwei intently, not wanting to miss a single detail.
In his eyes, Wang Yuwei was the most beautiful woman in the world at that moment, and no words could adequately describe her.
"Come, let's toast to our success and to our future."
Wang Yuwei handed the wine glass to Lin Yang with tenderness.
Lin Yang raised his glass and gently clinked it against Wang Yuwei's, the crisp sound echoing in the quiet restaurant.
"To our future."
Lin Yang said, taking a small sip of red wine. The rich flavor spread in his mouth, just like their sweetness at this moment.
Lin Yang picked up a piece of steak and brought it to Wang Yuwei's lips, his expression full of affection.
"My dear wife, you've worked hard preparing dinner. I'll serve you your meal."
Wang Yuwei's cheeks flushed slightly as she took a small bite of her steak.
"You're pretty savvy."
Wang Yuwei also picked up a piece of pastry and fed it to Lin Yang.
"Try this, I specially chose your favorite flavor."
Lin Yang wasn't in a hurry to eat the dessert that was almost in his mouth.
"What you feed me is naturally the sweetest."
The two people fed each other food and wine.
I can't remember how much I drank. I woke up early this morning to find myself on the sofa.
Wang Yuwei got up to make coffee, and Lin Yang found his phone, just in time to see a message from his assistant.
A conference on the exchange between traditional Chinese and Western medicine will be held in Beijing soon, and Lin Yang has been specially invited to participate.
This is one of the largest national conferences for the exchange of traditional Chinese and Western medicine, bringing together many top experts in both Chinese and Western medicine from home and abroad.
Lin Yang had always wanted to participate, but unfortunately, he hadn't found the right opportunity before.
With the cooperation between Wang's Group and Tonglong Mining progressing smoothly, he is finally able to take a short break.
Wang Yuwei brought over coffee, nestled close to Lin Yang, and also saw the message.
"Sigh, I've finally gotten a break from work lately, and now you're going on another business trip."
As she spoke, she sat on Lin Yang's lap, wrapped her arms around his shoulders, and spoke in a resentful tone.
"Then I won't go. How about I stay home with you?"
With a soft, fragrant woman in his arms, Lin Yang was truly reluctant to leave.
He hugged Wang Yuwei, wanting to hold onto this beautiful moment.
"Oh no, I know you wanted to attend this exchange meeting before, I'm not that stingy."
Wang Yuwei knew Lin Yang's passion and pursuit of medicine, and she was even more aware of how much effort he had put into improving his medical skills.
She cannot be selfish; she cannot be a wife who drags her down.
"Don't worry, I'll take care of things at home."
Seeing how understanding she was, Lin Yang felt a warmth in his heart.
"My wife is so considerate. With a wife like this, what more could a husband ask for?"
He gently stroked Wang Yuwei's hair, knowing that she wanted him to stay and was somewhat reluctant to part with him.
But she understands and respects herself, so she doesn't restrict herself.
"If you know I'm good to you, you'd better uphold male virtues outside the home, or I will never forgive you."
Wang Yuwei pretended to be serious, but her eyes were sparkling with laughter.
"No woman outside is even one ten-thousandth as beautiful as my wife. I find it too much trouble to even look at them."
Lin Yang quickly assured him, his words sincere.
You'd better tell the truth.
Wang Yuwei pinched Lin Yang's cheek, applying a little force to help him enhance his memory.
"That's all the truth. Besides, the Chinese and Western medicine exchange meeting is full of rough old men. What could possibly happen?"
Lin Yang pinched the soft flesh on Wang Yuwei's waist, making her release her grip on his face.
After the two had finished playing around, Lin Yang still wanted to give them a few words of advice.
"You still need to be careful if you stay at home. Now that the building project is on track, that kid Wang Xingjie is probably going to cause trouble again."
Lin Yang frowned, his eyes filled with worry.
"And his father and mother, they're both such a handful."
Wang Tao has been listening to rumors a lot these past few days, probably hoping to get Wang Xingjie released.
If Lin Yang goes on a business trip and something happens at home, he's afraid that being far away won't be enough to solve the immediate problem.
"Don't underestimate me. At most, they'll just cause some trouble. I can handle that."
Wang Yuwei is confident in this; although she appears delicate, she is strong inside.
Lin Yang's business trip left her feeling a little empty, but she was also a capable woman who could stand on her own and was more than capable of dealing with that bunch of clowns.
"If you're worried, go and come back quickly. I'll be waiting for you at home."
Wang Yuwei seized the little time she had to linger with Lin Yang a little longer.
"Okay, I'll be right back," Lin Yang readily agreed.
To save time on the road and get back sooner, Lin Yang decided to drive to Beijing, where he could also enjoy the scenery along the way.
Unfortunately, before we could see much of the beautiful scenery, we encountered a group of motorcyclists.
