Chapter 3 Making Good Connections (1/2)

Old Lady Huang said to Muramasa, "Uncle, you are the only one in our village who can read. Please write a letter to them."

Huang Cunzheng understood her thoughts as soon as he heard them, and immediately asked the Lin family for paper and pen.

Rich families like the Lin family had paper and pens, and they were reluctant to give them at first. But Huang Cunzheng threatened that if they didn't give them, he would immediately send them to the government for a coroner's examination.

The Lin family had no choice but to write a document, and both parties signed and sealed it, indicating that their grudges would be resolved from now on.

Otherwise, when Huang Jingjing recovers from her injury, they will come to snatch her away again.

After returning home, Old Mrs. Huang put Huang Jingjing on her own bed.

In the whole house, her bed is the softest and warmest.

She didn't want to hurt Huang Jingjing's already injured body any more.

On the side, Tao Chunyi looked jealous and said sarcastically: "She's just a little girl, and you've already sold her, but you want to come back!"

After hearing this, Old Mrs. Huang couldn't help but recall the scene in her previous life when her first-born family robbed her of her last bit of food.

He immediately slapped her hard on the face with his backhand.

"When will it be your turn to give orders in this family?"

Tao Chunyi's eyes widened, he covered his face, and cried out: "Mom, are you crazy? Why did you hit me?"

Old Mrs. Huang sneered, "Didn't you see Jingjing was injured? Why don't you go and make a bowl of rice soup? I really don't know how you, as an aunt, can be a mother!"

After she said this, Tao Chunying screamed as if she was frightened.

"What? You want me to make rice soup for her?"

Chen Jingui, who was wiping tears at the side, said quickly, "Mom, I'll go."

"Take a rest!" Old Mrs. Huang glanced at her fat daughter-in-law and said, "Tao Chunxi, are you going or not?"

Tao Chunying was so frightened by the roar from Old Lady Huang that he trembled and ran out crawling.

As soon as he went out, he met Huang Niu and immediately wiped away his nonexistent tears, "Master, my mother has become confused and old. Not only did she beat me, she also asked me to make rice soup for that dead girl Jingjing!"

Huang Niu went to deliver rice to the third brother Huang Youwei one day, but he was not at home.

When he heard that Old Mrs. Huang had brought Huang Jingjing back, he hurried into the house.

"Mom, why did you take this money-losing item back? Originally, our family couldn't even afford to feed our third child to go to school, what should we do now?"

Old Mrs. Huang rolled her eyes at him. Ever since her rebirth, she has been increasingly displeased with Huang Niu's family.

"Mom, didn't you love me and the third child the most in the past?"

He didn't say the following words, why are you so partial to the eldest brother's family now?

As he was speaking, the doctor came in and put down the medicine box.

Huang Niu was so shocked that he couldn't close his mouth. "If it weren't for you, my dear, why would you hire a doctor for this money-losing thing?"

Old Lady Huang rolled her eyes at him coldly, "Do you have money? I have money and I can do whatever I want with it! I can hire a doctor for anyone I want!"

Huang Niu was so angry that his whole body was shaking. "It's just a money-losing piece. If it dies, it's dead. Is it worth this money?"

Mrs. Huang felt a headache every time she heard a word he said, so she picked up a stick nearby and smashed it hard at the yellow ox.

The yellow ox screamed in pain and ran into the yard, stamping his feet, "You might as well use the money to buy two new sets of clothes for Xiaojuan and Xiaoman! You'll regret it if you waste it on that money-loser!"

Before he could finish his words, a stick flew out of the house and hit him squarely on the forehead, causing him to scream in pain.

Tao Chunqi, who was still watching the fun, was so frightened that he quickly put some firewood into the stove, making it burn brightly.

After the rice soup was ready, she handed it to Old Mrs. Huang with gritted teeth and a grin.

Old Mrs. Huang ignored him and took the prescription from the doctor. "I'm going to the town to get some medicine. Old lady, you are responsible for feeding Jingjing the rice soup."
