Chapter 144: Everything Wei Zhao Buys is Unlucky

Chapter 144: Everything Wei Zhao Buys is Unlucky

The first half of the apology calmed Lu Zhenzhu down, and when she heard the second half, she almost laughed.

Not to mention the unclear relationship between him and Secretary He, whom he met just after returning. He is a human being, not an animal.

She pulled the skirt out of the man's hand and said coldly, "I don't understand you."

Gu Huai's eyes grew dark. He placed his things on the bedside table and went to get a hair dryer to dry her hair that was wet from the shower.

After he finished playing, Lu Zhenzhu asked him.

"You should know all my friends and family, right?"

Gu Huai put the hair dryer away. "Your parents divorced when you were a child, your mother passed away many years ago, and your father remarried. You also have a good friend named Yu Tang. If you want to meet her, I can arrange it."

"My father remarried, and I have no connection with him?" Lu Zhenzhu frowned.

The things Zhao Pingquan did make him look like a father. It would be better not to have him.

While Gu Huai was hesitating, Lu Zhenzhu guessed that her relationship with her father must be not good.

But she had to see him, just in case it could stimulate her to recover her memory.

"When I can see again, please help me contact my father and Yu Tang. I want to meet with them."

A faint light flashed in Gu Huai's eyes. He nodded and picked her up from the bed and carried her downstairs.

"They'll bring the clothes over soon. What style and color do you like? I'll help you choose."

He thought of the time when they first got married, "When we were first married, I picked out all your clothes."

Lu Zhenzhu was placed on the sofa. She listened to the man's smiling voice without any ripples in her heart. "You know me very well. Please help me choose."

Gu Huai put his arm around her shoulders and stroked her long hair affectionately, "Okay, I promise to satisfy you."

She smiled but said nothing.

You can't see that as long as the clothes are made of good material and are comfortable to wear, she won't be dissatisfied.

When the clothes were delivered, Gu Huai picked out a lot of them and asked them to send them to the dry cleaners for cleaning before sending them back.

The doorbell rang again. Aunt Zhang went to open the door. Two strange men were standing at the door. The man in front was holding a dog, and the man behind was holding an exquisite birdcage with a gray parrot in it.

Chen Ke stated his purpose, "Hello, we are here to deliver something to Miss Lu."

"Wait a minute." Aunt Zhang didn't dare to let them in on her own, so she went back to the living room and told Gu Huai.

Gu Huai walked towards the door.

He recognized Chen Ke at a glance.

The man captured by the drone was following Ah Zhu.

He glanced at the two things Chen Ke brought, "I'll buy these for her, take them."

Wei Zhao didn't need any of the things he bought, and keeping them would only be an eyesore for him.

Chen Ke didn't see Lu Zhenzhu. "Mr. Gu, this is Miss Lu's stuff. She should make the decision whether to keep it or not. Animals are not dead things. They can't be thrown away at will."

Gu Huai's eyes turned cold, "A kidnapper bought something and used it with his dirty hands."

Gu Huai reached out to close the door.

Chen Ke frowned but before he could retort, the parrot in the cage made a sound.

"Zhenzhu Zhenzhu, come out and pick me up, come and pick me up."

The kid lying on the ground heard the dog barking and barked a few times too.

Gu Huai quickly closed the door, his face as gloomy as water.

Hearing the chirping sound, Lu Zhenzhu got up from the sofa and walked towards the door happily.

Aunt Zhang was afraid that she couldn't see and would get bumped into, so she went over to support her.

Gu Huai stopped her and waited for Aunt Zhang to release her hand before holding her arm. "It's just a dog and a parrot. If you like them, I'll have someone buy them today and have them delivered to you tonight."

He pulled her inside, but Lu Zhenzhu didn't move. "You said it was just a dog and a parrot. You're too small to accommodate them?"

Gu Huai lowered his voice, somewhat displeased.

"It's not that I can't tolerate them, it's that I don't like anything Wei Zhao bought for you. He hid you for two years, and I searched for you for two years, and he even tried to kidnap you..."

"But he also saved me." Lu Zhenzhu interrupted him, not wanting to hear him say this. "I'm familiar with the little Zhazha kids. I have feelings for them. I like them."

Gu Huai stared at her.

The woman raised her face and looked at him with empty eyes. "I like it, but it doesn't work? Then why don't you buy me a new apartment so I don't have to see them every day."

He let out a faint laugh, "You're thinking of separating from me right after you got back? Even sleeping in separate beds is impossible, let alone separation."

Gu Huai compromised, "If you like it, keep it."

Aunt Zhang opened the door, but Chen Ke did not leave and stood in his original position.

When the boy saw Lu Zhenzhu, he wanted to go over to her. The parrot in the cage said, "Zhenzhu, you have such a cruel heart."

The intonation is exactly the same as in the TV series.

Lu Zhenzhu couldn't help laughing and stretched out her hand.

Chen Ke released the parrot, and it flew into her palm, humming several times in succession.

Lu Zhenzhu stroked its back to comfort it and whispered, "Little one."

The man gave the dog leash to Chen Ke, and Chen Ke was about to hand it to her, but was stopped by Gu Huai halfway.

He snatched Chen Ke's dog leash, pulled Xiaozai in, and asked Aunt Zhang to close the door.

The little boy lay down beside the sofa obediently, chirping and wandering around on the ground, calling out to Lu Zhenzhu from time to time.

Gu Huai stood not far away and watched her lips curved up and her eyebrows softened a lot. He glanced at the parrot and the dog again and felt that they were not so annoying.

He didn't like Wei Zhao, but he could accept it as long as these two animals could make Ah Zhu happy.

The next day, Gu Huai took Lu Zhenzhu to the hospital for an eye check-up.

"Your body has recovered well and you can do it now, but I suggest you come back for surgery in a month."

Gu Huai looked at her and whispered, "Come back for surgery in a month."

Lu Zhenzhu thought so too.

She hopes that her eyes can see the light sooner, but physical health is still the most important thing.

A month is not particularly long, she can wait.

"Just wait a month." She made her decision. Coming out of the hospital, she touched her hair, which had fallen onto the car mat. Unsure of what to think, Lu Zhenzhu spoke up, "I want to cut my hair short."

Gu Huai picked up a strand of her hair and said, "Why do you suddenly want to cut it short? Long hair looks better."

"It's inconvenient to take care of it because I can't see it."

Wei Zhao had taken care of her before, and her hair was taken care of by someone special.

After she lost her sight, she rarely let her hair down outside, for fear that it would get caught on something.

"The nurse will be here this afternoon, so you don't have to take care of it." Gu Huai didn't directly tell her not to cut her hair short, but Lu Zhenzhu could tell from his tone that he didn't want her to cut her hair short.

For some reason, she suddenly felt rebellious. She reached behind her and gathered her long hair together, then used the hair tie on her wrist to tie it up twice. "I've made up my mind. I'm going to cut it short."

Her hair was not tied up yet, so Gu Huai took off the hair tie, and her black and smooth hair suddenly spread out. The woman turned her head to look at him, her eyebrows angry, unwilling to complain, "I just tied it up."

She was so innocent and bright, and Gu Huaixin softened. "There's some hair that's not tied up."

"I'm right beside you. You should be able to use me for things like this without any hesitation."

Lu Zhenzhu was stunned.

He gathered all her hair into his palm and fixed it with a hair tie. Suddenly, he thought of the photo of her that was posted online. "Do you want a braid?"
