Chapter 68 is like a broken piece of paper.

Ye Lei nodded repeatedly, "Uncle Wang, don't worry, no one in our Ye family has ever treated my wife badly!"

Ye Erniu proudly patted his chest, "That's right! Being good to your wife makes life more comfortable."

Sun staggered over, carrying a wine jug. "Bullshit! What have you ever been good to me? I was asleep last night, and you kept bothering me! You wouldn't let me sleep!"

Ye Panjiu's eyes widened, and she and Liu Shi rushed forward, quickly pulling Sun Shi into the side room.

After drinking, he started spouting vulgar and inappropriate language.

As she was being pulled, Mrs. Sun struggled, shouting, "Don't pull me! Let me talk! My back is killing me! He's like a dog!"

Ye Lei covered his head, wondering what all this was all about.

Ye Erniu stood up, shaking his head unsteadily, "You lied to me! That's not what you said last night!"

Old Man Ye quickly pulled this one back, saying, "You go back to the inner room too!"

Ye Erniu was dragged to Ye Ming's room, where he lay down and started snoring loudly.

After this commotion, everyone who was drinking put down their glasses.

"Alright, I'll be waiting for you at home tomorrow." After saying that, Butcher Wang nimbly slipped away.

Ye Santian scratched his head, "I took my dad back with me too, we'll come again tomorrow."

Ye Dayi looked at the old man with a smile, "Like father, like son."

Old Man Ye's face turned bright red, giving off a sense of loss of integrity in his old age.

After the guests left, Guan Muning couldn't sit still any longer and rolled up her sleeves, insisting on helping out.

She was alone in the house, and they still brought her eight dishes.

The Ye family has been so good to her; she wants to do more for them.

Ye Panjiu also rolled up her sleeves and tidied up.

Another busy afternoon ensued, with lanterns and decorations, red curtains hung, and red lanterns adorning the Ye family's main gate, while bright red "double happiness" characters were posted everywhere.

Ye Lei's room was entirely red, with a red sleeve on the bedside table, along with a wine pot and two small wine cups.

Even the orchids in the vase were tied with bright red ribbons.

In this joyous atmosphere, everyone had a smile on their face.

When it was time for dinner, Sun and Ye Erniu were woken up. Both of them sat at the table in a daze, with little appetite.

Ms. Liu thoughtfully cooked some mung bean porridge to help detoxify the body, and also gave each person who had been drinking a cup of honey water.

Ye Panjiu secretly observed Sun Shi and found that she was calm and composed, without any sense of embarrassment.

I couldn't help but admire her greatly; I never knew my second sister-in-law could be so calm and collected!

Ye Erniu was very embarrassed and didn't dare to look at his son or Sun Shi. His ears were so red they were practically bleeding.

He's almost forty, and he's made such a fool of himself.

He felt ashamed.

Grandma Ye sipped her porridge and said, "Second son's wife, you shouldn't drink alcohol anymore. If you must drink, let's not drink on a day like this."

Sun looked up at her in confusion, "Mother, I drank wine today but nothing happened, didn't I? I slept until now, but my head really hurts."

But it's good that I don't have to get angry at Ye Erniu when he's drunk, and I don't have to take care of him.

Grandma Ye choked for a moment, then looked at Ye Erniu, "You can tell your family tonight."

Sun's curiosity was now fully piqued, and she was itching to know, "Why do you have to tell me tonight? What shameful thing did I do? Tell me quickly."

Ye Erniu moved his lips but couldn't say it. For once, he was firm, "Mother said we'll talk about it tonight, so let's talk about it tonight!"

Mrs. Sun rolled her eyes and muttered, "It doesn't matter when you say it."

Ye Panjiu patted her shoulder with a smile, "Second sister-in-law, let's eat, let's not talk about this anymore."

Otherwise, she was afraid she wouldn't be able to hold it in and would burst out laughing.

Sun listened to Ye Panjiu the most, so she immediately fell silent, feeling as if a stone had been dropped into her heart.

She only knew one thing: it was definitely over.

But no one knows why it ended.

This feeling was even more torturous, and coupled with her already uncomfortable stomach, she ate half as much as usual before going back to her room.

Ye Panjiu looked on with some heartache, and decided that she would stop her second sister-in-law from drinking alcohol in the future.

The rest of the Ye family members also tried their best to suppress their laughter and avoid looking at the second wife and her husband.

"Lei'er, don't oversleep tomorrow," Grandma Ye instructed.

Ye Lei scratched his head, "Grandma, don't worry, even if I don't sleep tonight, I won't be late."

His heart was pounding.

Ye Panjiu looked at him, feeling a surge of emotion.

Nineteen years old, so young! And being young is wonderful.

Before they had finished their meal, a carriage stopped in front of the Ye family's house.

"Father, Mother, I'm back!"

A familiar voice rang out, and Ye Erniu rushed over to open the door.

"Son!" He hugged Ye Ming tightly. In just over a month, Ye Ming had grown up quickly and was already taller than him.

He wore a Dongpo hat and a snow-white long gown, with a pine-like demeanor and refined manners.

"Oh dear, my Ming'er!" Hearing the sound, Madam Sun hurriedly ran out. Of all things under heaven, her son was the most important.

"Mother, Aunt, Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle, Aunt, Brother," Ye Ming greeted them one by one with a smile.

"You've grown up," Ye Daniu said, his eyes filled with satisfaction.

Ye Panjiu smiled and said, "You haven't eaten yet, have you? Come in and eat quickly."

Ye Erniu took Ye Ming's book bag from his body. "This is quite heavy. What's inside?"

Ye Ming was pulled by Madam Sun to sit on the table. Old Madam Ye asked him to sit next to her and carefully looked him over.

"Good, good, you're starting to look more and more like the God of Literature."

Ye Ming was taken aback when he saw Guan Muning on the table. He nodded slightly and said, "Grandma, there is no such thing as a Wenquxing (a star associated with literature and scholarship) in this world."

He picked up his chopsticks to eat. He usually reads while eating, but seeing the food his aunt had prepared made him very hungry.

"You've lost weight, son. Eat more." Mrs. Sun said with heartache, piling meat onto his plate. Soon, the meat on the rice was piled up like a small mountain.

Ye Ming ate slowly and deliberately, saying, "Mom, I'll eat more next time."

Ye Erniu served him soup, saying, "Eat to your heart's content tomorrow, have a good rest, and sleep in."

Ye Ming nodded directly, "Okay, I'll do whatever Dad says."

Ye Lei hurriedly said, "Let's not sleep in yet. Tomorrow we're going to the Wang family to fetch the bride."

Sun glared at Ye Erniu, who scratched his head. He couldn't keep up with his brain, so he forgot.

Ye Ming picked up his soup bowl and tapped it against Ye Lei's bowl. "Younger brother wishes elder brother a long and happy marriage, a union of hearts, and a harmonious union."

Ye Lei clicked his tongue in amazement, "Scholars really do speak differently. I understand."

After Ye Ming finished eating, he took out his book and took out the items one by one.

"Grandpa, Grandma, I brought you two ginseng roots. They're not very old. You can cut some and steep them in water to drink every day."

Old Man Ye and Old Woman Ye picked up the box containing the ginseng, and their hearts skipped a beat.

This ginseng looks plump and white; it must be very valuable.
