Chapter 45 Can't Stand the Smell of Barbecue

Before, without a mirror, she couldn't see clearly. Now, looking at her skin in the mirror, Han Yiyi really couldn't stand it. She quickly redeemed a face mask in the system, put it on her face, and decided that she would definitely take good care of her face from now on. After all, everyone loves beauty.

Perhaps it was because the original owner's skin had never been exposed to these skincare products, but after removing the mask, her skin seemed to have become noticeably whiter and smoother.

The next day, Han Yi got up early and made some more sausages, intending to take them to Yunlai Restaurant. As for the meat skewers, Yunlai Restaurant would naturally prepare those themselves.

Today's main task is to sell the barbecue and barbecue seasoning to Yunlai Restaurant, and if possible, buy an oxcart as well, so the two little ones came along with them.

Han Yiyi led the two little ones to the blacksmith shop to get a barbecue grill. By the time they arrived at the entrance of Yunlai Restaurant, it was already early noon. A few tables of guests were already sparsely occupied in the hall.

Looking at Han Yiyi at the door, Manager Tong unconsciously frowned. For some reason, every time Manager Tong saw Han Yiyi, he always had a feeling that he was about to be tricked.

Han Yiyi greeted Manager Tong with a smile as he saw him coming out of the kitchen.

"Good afternoon, Manager Tong..."

"Sister Han, you've come at this hour to have dinner..."

Han Yiyi smiled and nodded, then asked them to arrange a private room upstairs for her.

Only then did Manager Tong notice the two adorable little ones that Han Yiyi was holding hands with. He greeted them with a smile, but upon hearing the two children's soft voices, a trace of sadness flashed in his eyes for some reason. When he came to his senses, he quickly asked the waiter to lead the three of them upstairs.

He was very curious about what was in the large basket on Han Yiyi's back. He had seen it when the waiter offered to help her carry the basket when she came in, but she had nervously refused.

Upon reaching the second floor, Han Yi ordered only two simple dishes. He then asked the waiter to bring him some lit charcoal and cut some raw meat, specifying that the pieces should not be too large, about the size of a thumb.

The waiter was a little puzzled, wondering what Han Yiyi wanted these things for, but he remembered that every time Han Yiyi came, their manager would greet her with a warm smile.

If Manager Tong knew what the waiter was thinking, he would definitely ask, "Which eye of yours saw me being enthusiastic?"

Furthermore, Han Yiyi also indicated that she would pay for the meat at the same price as the vegetables, so the waiter no longer hesitated and went directly to the kitchen.

The kitchen staff didn't understand why anyone would order raw meat, but when the waiter said the customer would pay the price, they didn't ask any more questions.

In less than the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, the waiter brought everything over. Seeing the waiter looking curiously at the barbecue grill he had brought out, Han Yi smiled slightly at him.

Upon seeing this, the waiter quickly said...

"Then I'll go down first. My name is Laifu. If you need anything, just call out to me..."

Seeing that the person had left, Han Yi took out the bamboo skewers, bamboo brush, sausages, and a small porcelain jar of oil from her basket, along with the essential barbecue seasoning.

First, they skewered several sausages on bamboo sticks and grilled them on the rack. Then, they skewered the chopped meat onto bamboo sticks.

In less than fifteen minutes, the aroma of meat filled the entire room. Han Yiyi saw that it was almost done grilling, so she sprinkled on the barbecue seasoning. Fortunately, the charcoal that Laifu brought was smokeless, otherwise it would have been impossible to grill it.

The barbecue seasoning was sprinkled on, making the flavor even richer, especially the cumin aroma. Even Han Yiyi herself couldn't help but swallow her saliva.

The smell from Han Yiyi's private room had already permeated the entire restaurant, especially the guests in the second-floor private rooms, who all came out of their rooms to check.

Later, they discovered that the smell was coming from Han Yiyi's private room, so they all called over the waiter to ask what dishes Han Yiyi had ordered, so they could have a serving too.

Han Yiyi didn't come here for a meal, so she only ordered two dishes that the little one could eat: stuffed tofu and stir-fried vegetables.

Lai Fu was being pulled along by the customer, looking quite embarrassed and unsure how to explain himself. After all, he knew that neither of the two dishes Han Yi had ordered could possibly have such an aroma.

Suddenly remembering what Han Yiyi had asked him to prepare for her, Lai Fu broke out in a cold sweat, feeling as if he had committed a terrible crime.

Lai Fu was pulled along by several guests in the private rooms and had no choice but to appease them by saying that he would go find the manager while they waited.

The shopkeeper downstairs had also smelled the aroma early on. For some reason, his first thought was that the aroma must have been created by Han Yiyi. Before he could go upstairs to inquire, he heard someone in the lobby calling for the waiter.

"Waiter, what's this smelling so good? Give me one too..." she said, swallowing hard.

As soon as the first table called out, a second and a third table followed suit. It was lunchtime, and the first floor was quite crowded. Soon, the entire first-floor lobby was filled with people saying they wanted one too.

The young waiter on the first floor, named Lai Cai, was quite young. Upon seeing this scene, he looked at Manager Tong with a helpless expression. He had no idea which dish in the restaurant tasted like this.

Manager Tong was also overwhelmed with problems, so he could only try to appease her before hurriedly going upstairs. However, he had only gone halfway up the stairs when he saw Laifu looking at him anxiously.

At this moment, Laifu dared not hide anything. When Manager Tong heard that Han Yi had asked him to fetch charcoal and raw meat, he glared at Laifu fiercely and spoke with a hint of exasperation. He felt that Han Yi had done it on purpose.

"I'll settle the score with you later..." He felt that Han Yiyi's actions today were intentional, so he walked towards the private room where Han Yiyi was.

Hearing the knocking at the door, Han Yiyi curled the corners of her lips and said while eating her barbecue.

"Come in……".

As soon as the door opened, the enticing aroma wafted into his nose. Manager Tong tried to resist but couldn't help swallowing, his gaze falling directly on the sizzling meat on the grill, and he swallowed again.

"Sister Han, what is this...?"

Manager Tong forced his gaze away from the roasted meat, managed a strained smile, and asked.

"Oh, well, the kids were clamoring for grilled sausages, so I grilled a few. Thinking I shouldn't waste the charcoal, I asked the waiter to bring me some chopped meat to grill as well. But don't worry, Manager Tong, I'll pay for the charcoal and meat..."
