Chapter 28 Forcing her to admit her mistake

“Mother, I have worked diligently in this family, and I have treated Yue’er well. She is my own sister, after all. How can you be so heartless?”

Yuan Fuling looked displeased with a sullen face.

"Mother, don't be angry. I won't let Yao Yao suffer after marrying him," Song Hengchuan assured her, patting his chest.

She watched as the people inside tried every possible way to frame her, including her own brother.

Song Yue just wanted to laugh.

"Third Miss," the maid called out.

It broke the conversation inside.

Inside the room, the Dowager Madam sat in the main hall with a gloomy expression. Song Hengchuan stood tall in the hall, supporting Song Yao, who was crying her heart out. Yuan Fuling sat on the lower right with a sullen face.

When the group saw her arrive, they all looked over in her direction.

Malicious, disgusted, displeased, sarcastic...

Song Yue strode in, curtsied to the Grand Madam, and said gracefully, "Grandmother."

"Bang!" Song Hengchuan kicked Song Yue in the knee.

The force was so great that Song Yue knelt directly on the hard ground, a piercing pain shooting through her knees, and her expression changed slightly.

"I thought you had repented, but I didn't expect you to be so vicious. You actually poisoned Yao Yao in advance, causing her to show signs of pregnancy in front of everyone. Song Yue, you deserve to die!" Song Hengchuan glared fiercely at Song Yue, his clenched fists ready to strike her at any moment.

Song Yue's face turned deathly pale as she looked up at the Grand Madam.

The old lady pursed her lips, turned her head to the side, and her gaze fell on the celadon teacup on the table, pretending not to see anything.

Oh!

"Third sister, what have I done to wrong you?" Song Yao lunged at Song Yue and grabbed her hair. "Why did you hurt me? You've ruined the reputation of the Duke of Jingguo's mansion."

Song Yue gently pinched Song Yao's acupoints with her fingertips. Song Yao let out a scream, released her grip, and collapsed to the ground, staring at Song Yue with terrified eyes: "What, what did you do to me?"

Song Yue slowly stood up, supporting herself with one hand on the ground.

"Who told you to get up!" Song Hengchuan roared.

"If you're determined to frame someone, you can always find a pretext. If you don't give me an explanation today, I'll die right here in Ninghui Hall!" Song Yue's eyes were fierce. "I want to see how you explain this kind of framing trick to the high-ranking officials and nobles of the capital, and to the Emperor!"

"You dare threaten me?" Song Hengchuan raised his fist and swung it at Song Yue.

"stop!"

The old lady stopped Song Hengchuan in time. She was stunned by Song Yue's words and her heart was pounding. Song Yue smiled slightly: "First, I didn't insist on going to the banquet. I didn't know what would happen today. Second, I don't know Han Feng and I don't know anything about our past."

Then Song Yue took out the gifts from the ladies that day from her bosom.

He waved at the Grand Madam and said, "If I were to die unjustly in Ninghui Hall today, Grandmother, have you thought about how you would explain this to these ladies?"

The old lady's expression changed slightly.

The Grand Madam knew a lot about what happened at today's banquet, including the many valuable gifts that the ladies gave to Song Yue.

Seeing that the old lady was wavering, Yuan Fuling quickly said, "Old lady, whether it is true or not, a search will tell us."

The old lady hesitated.

"Search?" Song Yue sneered again: "Everyone in this courtyard was arranged by the madam. It would be easy for her to manipulate and frame them."

Yuan Fuling frowned. She suddenly realized that the little girl in front of her had not been spoiled at all in the other courtyard. She seemed rude, but in fact she was organized and reasonable, unwilling to suffer losses and always wanting to take advantage of others.

Looking at Song Yue's face, which resembled Princess Jia Hua's, Yuan Fuling recalled the scene of her carefully trying to please Princess Jia Hua in the past, and hatred welled up in her heart: "I think you're just feeling guilty!"

“Grandmother, I also suggest we search. We’re bound to find some clues,” Song Hengchuan suggested.

The old lady remained silent, which was taken as agreement.

Yuan Fuling then ordered her maid to search Yuehua Pavilion.

During the wait, the Duke of Jingguo returned, accompanied by Madam Shen and Shen Ruyun. The Duke of Jingguo's expression was also very unpleasant.

"Mother," the Duke of Jingguo greeted.

Madam Shen and Shen Ruyun bowed to the Grand Madam. Madam Shen glanced at Yuan Fuling, then at Song Hengchuan, and slowly said, "The Second Miss was wronged at the Shen family banquet today, so we came here specifically to visit her."

"Please excuse my poor appearance, Madam Shen. Please have a seat," said the Dowager Madam.

Madam Shen hesitated, glancing at Song Yue. Jing Guogong then spoke up, "Madam, there's no need to hide this wretched child anymore. Just tell me."

Madam Shen nodded: "Today, the Third Miss poisoned my daughter's personal maid at the Shen family. Madam, the Third Miss's temperament will sooner or later cause trouble. If she can do this to an innocent maid, she will be even more ruthless to the Second Miss. If it weren't for the sake of Chuan-ge'er and Yun-jie'er, the Shen family would not have let this go."

"Is this really true?" The old lady was extremely shocked.

Shen Ruyun nodded with red eyes: "Yes, Juhong has been with me for ten years. Today, the Third Miss got lost in the back garden of the Shen family. Juhong kindly led the Third Miss to the front yard, but she never expected to be poisoned by the Third Miss. How could you be so cruel, Third Miss?"

Song Yue raised an eyebrow. So that maid's name was Ju Hong.

It's ridiculous; what she gave Ju Hong was just ordinary pills, not poison at all.

But now the person is dead.

"After the banquet, I noticed that Ju Hong's complexion was off. On her deathbed, she said that it was the Third Miss who poisoned her. There were quite a few people who could testify to that," Shen Ruyun said.

"You wicked child! How could you be so vicious?" Duke Jingguo roared.

Song Yao looked like she had been tortured, throwing herself into Song Hengchuan's arms and crying bitterly. Song Hengchuan's heart ached at the sight, and he kept gently comforting her: "Don't be afraid, we will definitely stand up for you today."
