Chapter 80 Winning Another Round

She gritted her teeth and looked at Song Yue: "I will remember this humiliation!"

Finally, Princess Qing suddenly pulled out the hairpin from her hair and held it to her neck: "You have been pressing me at every turn, and I have no choice but to ask for justice. Third Miss, I admit defeat today. I will atone with my death. Please be merciful and spare the Qing Prince's Mansion."

"Your Highness, you mustn't!" the maidservant pleaded.

Song Yue looked at Princess Qing calmly. She wasn't easily intimidated. She ordered someone to push the maid aside and said in a calm voice, "If Princess Qing is truly willing to atone with her death, I guarantee I will not pursue the matter further."

The two maids were held down, and no one stopped Princess Qing.

Princess Qing's hand holding the hairpin was trembling, and bloodstains had already been drawn on her snow-white neck. She couldn't bring herself to use any more force.

Song Yue feigned surprise: "Why hasn't Your Highness made a move yet?"

"You!" Princess Qing was so angry that her vision blurred. She wanted to rush up and stab Song Yue with the hairpin. She could tell that Song Yue was really being reckless and didn't seem to care about getting into trouble.

It would be so frustrating to die.

That's enough.

Suddenly, the Dowager Lady emerged from behind the door, stopping Princess Qing from wielding the hairpin. She gave Song Yue a meaningful look: "Princess Qing is a member of the imperial family. How can we allow you to be so presumptuous? Yue'er, know when to stop."

Princess Qing then put down the hairpin and covered her face, weeping bitterly.

Song Yue pouted, unusually refraining from publicly refuting the Grand Madam.

The Prefect of the Capital took the troublemakers away and dispersed the crowd of onlookers. Soon, peace was restored in front of the Duke of Jingguo's mansion.

"The Princess Consort has been frightened," said the Dowager Lady.

Princess Qing snorted and turned to leave.

The old lady looked at the mess on the ground and the paper money, feeling disgusted. She looked at Song Yue with a gloomy face: "Come with me!"

"What does the Grand Madam wish to discuss with A-Yue? Why not bring me along?"

Princess Jia Hua strolled over from the side, a smile on her face, looking completely at ease.

The way they were acting clearly showed they were just watching the show from the sidelines.

The old lady angrily asked, "Are you just going to tolerate her recklessness like this?"

“Nonsense?” Princess Jiahua raised an eyebrow: “I think A-Yue is brave and resourceful. She is young but calm in the face of danger and was not intimidated by Princess Qing.”

"You!" The Grand Madam, who had been holding back for so long, finally couldn't hold back any longer: "I've tolerated your outrageous behavior these past few days because of your reunion with your daughter. But now you're showing no respect for the Duke of Jing's mansion and letting others slander you. I can't stand it anymore. From today onwards, I will personally teach Yue'er."
