Chapter 92 Taking her as a concubine

Song Yue raised her eyes and looked at Leng Shi with disdain, her eyes filled with undisguised mockery and contempt, which made Leng Shi's face burn with embarrassment, wishing she could find a crack in the ground to crawl into.

She had long heard that Song Yue was wild and unruly, but who would have thought she would be so uninhibited?

Even if someone offered themselves up to marry into the family, she wouldn't dare keep them.

Yuan Fuling lay on the ground, her face ashen, struggling to lift her head to stare at Song Yue with eyes that were sharp as knives, yet filled with shame.

"You eyesore, drag her out right now!" Song Yue raised her hand and ordered someone to drag Yuan Fuling away.

Song Yao followed him out, furious.

The room was quiet.

Seeing this, the others also found excuses to leave, but Madam Tao said, "Madam Fan, please stay. I have something to discuss with you today."

Madam Fan's eyelids twitched.

“We are all close relatives, so I won’t beat around the bush. I have a younger brother on my mother’s side. He’s thirty years old and still unmarried.” Tao sighed, pretending to be embarrassed: “Twenty years ago, he fell in love with my cousin at first sight. When he found out that she was still unmarried, he asked me to be his matchmaker. The Tao family is willing to bring a grand wedding procession and a traditional betrothal ceremony to marry my cousin Lianyi.”

As soon as she finished speaking, the old lady's expression changed instantly. Just as she was about to open her mouth, she met Song Yue's gaze, which seemed to be both smiling and not smiling.

The old lady swallowed hard.

Madam Tao continued, "Don't worry, Madam. My younger brother is an ambitious man and he will never mistreat Cousin Lianyi."

Madam Fan forced herself to say, "Lianyi is stubborn, and there are some things I may not be able to decide."

"Marriage is a major life event, decided by parents and arranged by matchmakers. Could it be that the old lady doesn't approve of our Tao family?" Tao asked in surprise.

"How could that be? Nephew's wife, you're joking..." Old Madam Fan's face was embarrassed.

Song Yue, who was standing to the side, took a couple of sips of tea in good spirits and then whispered to Song Huan, seemingly reverting to her innocent and naive self.

It was as if everything before was an illusion.

At this moment, Yun Dong brought over a plate of pastries and lowered her voice, saying, "Miss Biao dressed up as a maid and went to the study."

Song Yue's smile vanished instantly, replaced by a feeling of nausea. She slammed her teacup down, immediately drawing everyone's attention.

Everyone turned to look at Song Yue.

“Instead of guessing here, why don’t we let Miss Tao ask her herself? If that doesn’t work, at least we won’t be labeled as having forced a marriage.” Song Yue looked at Madam Tao with a serious expression.

Tao, being clever, immediately understood and stood up with a smile: "What Yue'er said is right, I'll go find my cousin."

"Tao Shi!" The Grand Madam also noticed something was amiss, her eyelids twitching violently. She quickly calmed Tao Shi down and said to the maid beside her, "Go, go and invite the young lady!"

“Grandmother, it doesn’t matter who invites you, why must Fu Hong go in person?” Song Yue glanced at Fu Hong, and that glance startled Fu Hong so much that she immediately withdrew her foot.

The old lady sensed something was wrong and said, "Lianyi is, after all, my niece from my maternal family. She is timid and doesn't like to see strangers. If you go there rashly, you will frighten her."

Song Yue smiled slightly: "Grandmother, don't you trust Second Aunt to handle things?"

Tao immediately looked at the Grand Madam with a wronged expression: "Mother, do you really look down on me?"

Under the watchful eyes of everyone, how could the old lady admit it? She quickly explained, "How could that be..."

Before she could finish speaking, Madam Tao hurriedly left with her maid. The Dowager was alarmed and guessed that Fan Lianyi must have gone to see the Duke of Jingguo. The two of them were being watched, so she quickly gave her maid a meaningful look.

The maid quietly slipped out, then returned a moment later. After whispering a few words in the Grand Madam's ear, she looked at Song Yue again.

Song Yue leaned back lazily in her chair, leisurely sipping her tea. The Grand Madam, however, was furious. Two Imperial Guards had blocked both sides of the entrance to Ninghui Hall, preventing anyone from entering.

Tao hurried towards the study. When she reached the door, she stopped, took a deep breath, and said in a deep voice, "Send someone to watch the front and back doors. Don't let anyone come out."

"yes."

Tao knocked on the door.

The servant opened the door and peeked out. He was terrified when he saw Tao Shi. He was about to call for help when Tao Shi grabbed him by the collar and said, "Hold him down!"

Before the servant could shout, his mouth was gagged and he was dragged aside.

"Madam." A maidservant beside Madam Tao pulled her aside and whispered, "You have offended the Duke and the Grand Madam with your actions today."

What kind of sister-in-law catches her brother cheating?

Tao scoffed, completely disregarding the Duke of Jingguo and the Grand Madam. She resolutely pushed open the door and strode towards the study.

When they arrived at the door, they indeed heard intimate and alluring sounds coming from inside the house.

Tao Shi looked at him with disdain and was about to push open the door when a hand stopped her. She turned around and saw Princess Jia Hua.

"Sister-in-law?"

Princess Jia Hua gave her a relieved look, then kicked the door open hard.

Bang!

The door was kicked open forcefully.

A cold wind blew by.

The people inside were startled. The Duke of Jingguo shouted at the top of his lungs, "You insolent wretch, how dare you trespass..."

The curtain was lifted, and when the Duke of Jingguo saw who it was, his expression changed instantly. He quickly covered the curtain with his own and hurriedly got out of bed.

The room was filled with a cloying, decadent smell.

Anyone who's been through it knows what happened at a glance.

"You, what brings you here?" Duke Jingguo cleared his throat and looked at the newcomer with displeasure.

Princess Jiahua raised her chin, and Xiushu immediately stepped forward to lift the curtain, but was stopped by the Duke of Jingguo: "How dare you! You are just a servant girl, how dare you interfere in your master's affairs?"

Princess Jia Hua didn't say much, but bent down to sit down and winked at Madam Tao: "I still have a few words to discuss with the Duke. You can go and do your work."
