As Old Man Gan watched the crowd disperse, a glint of shrewdness flashed in his cloudy eyes. He had lived most of his life; what kind of people hadn't he seen? Clearly, some of those people had deliberately stirred up trouble in the crowd, wanting nothing more than to create chaos!
"Old man, what should we do now?" Old Mrs. Gan was at a loss, crying as she grabbed her husband's sleeve and urged him to think of a solution.
Zhao was also at a loss, and the whole family's attention was focused on Old Man Gan.
Old Gan sighed and said, "There's not much we can do. Let's just go home and wait."
"Ah?" Old Mrs. Gan cried, "Mingli has been arrested! Aren't you going to think of a way? What are you waiting for at home? Are you just going to wait for him to be arrested and taken to the county to be flogged and imprisoned?"

"Squeak—"
Just then, the door to the dye shop was pushed open, and a tall figure walked in.
"Hey, isn't this our popsicle tycoon, Young Master Gan? How did you end up like this?"
A sarcastic voice came from the doorway. Gan Mingli looked up and saw that the person standing in the doorway was none other than Chen Danian!
Chen Danian was dressed in a silk robe, holding a folding fan in his hand, with a smug smile on his face. He looked like he deserved to be punched.
