Chapter 24: Mother-in-law's Face

Wen Xin blushed, withdrew her hand, and let her skirt fall naturally, revealing traces of blood on the holes at her knees.

She said awkwardly: "It was Mr. Jun who accidentally bumped into me while driving, but it's my fault. I was in a hurry to eat, so I didn't notice him and bumped into his car."

"How about I take you there?"

"No need, go in quickly, my parents must have been waiting for a long time."

Jun Mohan said: "No, let's go to the hospital."

Wen Xin insisted on not going. She felt that it was just a minor wound, just a scratch on the skin. What's more, it was more important to meet her in-laws at this time. It would be bad to be late for the first meeting.

Jun Mohan was stubborn, so the two of them walked in one after the other. Following behind her, he had complicated thoughts. This woman seemed different from what he had imagined.

He even thought that someone like her who lacked money and loved money would try to claim compensation when she encountered a car accident. This was human nature, especially since in her cognition, Special Assistant Xu was President Jun, the richest man in South City. If she asked him for money, she could get a lot.

But she didn't, and even took the blame on herself.

Jun Mohan really couldn't figure out whether this woman was too good at disguising herself, or too scheming, or was she just naive.

The two of them came to the most luxurious top-floor box. As soon as they reached the door, Wen Xin heard the sound of chatting coming from inside. She stood at the door, took a deep breath nervously, and the whole process was seen by Jun Mohan.

His dark eyes were as crystal clear as black grapes, and like a whirlpool, as if they could suck people's souls in. Suddenly, he raised the corners of his mouth and smiled coldly. He didn't expect that there would be times when this woman was afraid.

Wen Xin adjusted her expression, tried her best to keep smiling, turned back to Jun Mohan and whispered: "How is it? This smile."

“It’s fake.”

With two cold words, she bypassed him and walked straight in.

Wen Xin pouted, damn old man, he has no sympathy at all.

Old Madam Jun saw Jun Mohan at first sight. She saw the two of them, one in front and one behind, carrying things in big bags and small bags. They looked very harmonious, but her grandson's beard was a little scary.

One face remained gloomy and calm, and looked unapproachable.

A smile is sweet, pure and lovely, like a ray of light that brightens people's eyes.

Jun Morou burst out laughing. She had to believe her own eyes. This beard scar on her brother's face was really scary, just like a black man's. It was a good thing that her sister-in-law could tolerate it.

Chu Han glared at his daughter and warned her softly, "You're still laughing. Look at what you've done to your brother. It makes me want to kill him."

"Hush!" Jun Morou whispered, "This is my brother's secret weapon to scare away my sister-in-law. I believe my mother likes it too."

Chu Han's expression relaxed and his eyes passed over his son and fell on Wen Xin.

“Uncle, aunt, grandma, Mo Rou, sorry we are late.”

Although Wen Xin was a little nervous, she did not forget the proper etiquette. She leaned forward slightly as a way of greeting. This family gave her a great sense of oppression. She originally thought that judging from Jun Mohan's appearance, the Jun family's appearance would not be that high?

She never thought that Jun Mohan's father, mother and sister were all very good-looking and well-maintained, especially Jun Morou, who had a good temperament and a tall figure. She felt that she, a country bumpkin, would be crushed into dust in seconds next to her.

She is truly worthy of being a flight attendant.

Old Madam Jun nodded in satisfaction, and quickly stood up with her cane, walked to her, took her hand and said, "Okay, okay, Wen Xin, come and sit down."

"Thank you, grandma."

Chu Han originally thought that this woman was good-looking and was a good match for his son. At least she was pretty and polite. But the moment she looked at her from head to toe, her face suddenly darkened.

He just sat on the stool and didn't get up.

As expected, she is a country girl. She is still dressed sloppily. Even if they are from a street stall, they are still bad. How can she not dress herself up properly when meeting her in-laws? Not only do she not wear decent clothes, she doesn't even put on the most basic light makeup. It can be seen that she is a casual and sloppy person.

Chu Han was quite dissatisfied with his daughter-in-law.

She knew that the girl was a country girl, an ordinary clerk, had a seriously ill mother, and her family conditions were extremely poor. She knew nothing else. If the old lady had not threatened to commit suicide, she would not have agreed.

After agreeing, she found out that her son was also reluctant, and even made himself look ugly in order to make the woman leave on her own initiative. This made her expectations a little higher. She even hoped that they would quickly become disgusted with her. After all, she had already found a partner for her son.

On the other hand, Jun Morou and Jun Chang had a nice attitude and smiled slightly as a greeting.

As a father, Jun Chang doesn't care about this matter at all. As long as his son likes it, he doesn't care.

Although he advocated free love, since his son did not object, he just let it go.

Seeing that the girl in front of him was pretty and not as silly as the country girls, he felt relieved that she must be a practical child.

Old Madam Jun brought Wen Xin to Chu Han and said, "This is your mother-in-law. You should call her mom."

"Hello, Mom. I'm Wen Xin."

Chu Han glanced at her coldly, but didn't embarrass her too much. He just responded reluctantly, "Sit down."

"Thank you, Mom!"

Jun Mohan frowned when he saw that his mother looked unhappy. He had expected this, so he pulled the stool next to him and asked Wen Xin to sit down like a gentleman.

Then Jun Chang asked the waiter to serve the food.

Old Madam Jun glared at Chu Han, somewhat dissatisfied with her attitude. This woman had always been at odds with her, and this time she was dissatisfied with the granddaughter-in-law she had taken a fancy to.

This is clearly directed at me.

Wen Xin naturally realized that her mother-in-law didn't like her, and she secretly felt aggrieved in her heart. The mother-in-law gave her a cold shoulder the first time they met. It seemed that her life would be difficult in the future. Fortunately, they were just living together temporarily, and she would leave as soon as she gave birth to the baby.

After all, when a couple lives together, the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law is the most important. If the mother-in-law is not nice, then she will naturally feel uncomfortable. It is better to leave as soon as possible. Thinking of this, her eyes stayed on Jun Mohan beside her for a moment. Fortunately, she didn't like this type of relationship, otherwise, if they were together day and night, she was really afraid that she would be moved.

Everyone in the family had their own thoughts. The dishes had not yet been served and no one had started eating. The atmosphere was a little depressing because of Chu Han.

Wen Xin really didn't like this atmosphere and glanced at her mother-in-law uncomfortably.

Realizing that the woman next to him was a little restless, Jun Mohan spoke up, "Mom and Dad, Wen Xin brought you gifts. She carefully selected them for a long time."

Chu Han glanced at Jun Mohan calmly and said calmly: "Really?"

"Yeah!" Wen Xin breathed a sigh of relief, looked at Jun Mohan with gratitude, then stood up and picked up a few bags from the chair next to her. Jun Morou stretched her neck to look curiously, but was glared at by Chu Han, so she had to sit still.

Mrs. Jun said excitedly: "My granddaughter-in-law is so thoughtful. When other people meet, their mothers-in-law always give them gifts, but you prepared one for your mother-in-law instead. You are such a thoughtful child."

The old lady said this on purpose, just to let Chu Han know that she was an incompetent mother-in-law and she dreamed of making her a competent daughter-in-law.

Chu Han frowned and wanted to open his mouth, but didn't.

Wen Xin delivered the gifts one by one.
