Chapter 254, Chapter Two Hundred and Fifty-Three: The Highest Immunity
Yan Shi: "So you know that what you're doing is illegal and wrong, right?"
Upon hearing this, Sheng Chunqiu smiled gently, a quiet and peaceful smile, even tinged with a gentle sadness: "Yes, I know."
“I know that the world barrier has broken and the inner and outer worlds have overlapped. For the outer world, it will definitely be a disaster at first.”
She paused for a moment, then continued, "I know that such a huge inequality in the strength of our forces can cause countless tragedies and potentially lead to widespread death and destruction."
"But slowly, people will get used to it all. All the deaths are worthwhile."
Yan Shi hates death.
She could accept betrayal and separation, but death was the end of everything. All unfinished stories would never have a sequel.
So she interrupted Sheng Chunqiu and said, "That's for you. You crawled out of the despair of death. Not everyone can turn defeat into victory in a desperate situation."
Sheng Chunqiu was slightly taken aback, then revealed a smile that was almost compassionate.
“Why not?” she asked softly, her gaze gentle to the point of cruelty. “You did it, and so did I. Those who can’t do it don’t deserve to live in the new world.”
"Moreover, Director Yan, the outer world is the true face of the world. If they completely overlap, it is the inner world that will disappear. We will have a bright and glorious future."
"No!" Yan Shi laughed out loud in anger. "The death of any living being should be taken for granted."
"Every fall will be unforgettable for someone."
Yan Shi had never experienced the despair of losing her family, so she could not understand Sheng Chunqiu's obsession.
All she knew was that, according to Lin Cai's description in the future and in the original comics inside the Death Throne, the world after the world barrier was broken was terrible.
There was no more sunshine or cakes.
The sky was shrouded in a blood-red gloom.
People cannot get used to death, nor can they climb out of despair.
There is no future.
Sheng Chunqiu's ending was also extremely tragic. She was hung on a platform in the black market auction house, her bones exposed and covered in blood.
Yan Shi gripped the milk cup tightly.
The blazing sun, unbeknownst to them, secretly commanded the fire spirit to melt the ice and turn it into a cup of hot milk.
Yan Shi was somewhat dazed. The blazing sun seemed to whisper, "Yan Shi, drinking iced milk on winter nights will give you a headache."
It said matter-of-factly, 'But it's okay, I'll take good care of you.'
Steam rose from the rim of the milk glass. Yan Shi slowly took a sip and suddenly said, "It's a good thing you didn't end up studying law."
"Lawyers who act on their own initiative and claim to be considerate and empathetic are a disaster for the industry."
“Maybe?” Sheng Chunqiu replied, her eyes lowered. “Who knows?” Her voice trailed off. “Anyway, I can never go back to that summer.”
Yan Shi closed her eyes. After a brief silence, she calmed down and said, "Sheng Chunqiu, you have violated several of the Peace Protection Regulations."
She tapped her knuckles on the table: "On behalf of the Bureau of Dissent, I formally request your arrest."
Sheng Chunqiu looked up, his expression still calm: "I refuse."
She took out a thin stack of documents from her personal storage space: "I have a Supreme Exemption Approval Document from the Bureau of Extraterritoriality."
Yan Shi: ?
What is it?
Sheng Chunqiu pushed the document to the center of the table, and Yan Shi stared at it intently.
The titles and seals on the documents are very clear, and even the paper is not regular white paper, but specially made official paper, with the emblem of the Foreign Affairs Bureau faintly reflected on the paper.
The document states that the holder of this document may be exempt from one felony, regardless of the charge.
The signature is "single*".
"The document is genuine." There was a sudden knock at the door, and Yan Shi turned his head to look.
Guan Yunji stood at the door wearing a thick bathrobe. She looked no longer young and her age was clearly showing.
“The document is genuine.” Guan Yunji repeated, “It was given to me by your bureau back then as payment for repairing the cracks in the world barrier.”
“I am willing to give her to my student to absolve her of her faults.”
