Chapter 928 The Demonic Infant Appears

Screams and howls continued as the fist-sized creature struggled and roared within the dense web of shadows, trying to break free.

Although it is not the same size as the human, it has many arms and legs, and a huge mouth on its head, making it look extremely terrifying.

Zhou Ying's parents stared at the scene before them, their faces deathly pale. Zhou's mother even fainted.

Oh my god, what on earth happened to our daughter? Before this, they even blamed her for her immoral lifestyle.

But they never imagined that such a terrifying thing had targeted their daughter. How much suffering and pain had she endured?

Ye Xingchen stepped forward, looked at the demonic infant at his feet, and then turned to look at Professor Zhou, who was huddled in the corner: "Did you see it clearly? Why don't you come closer and take a better look at what this thing is?"

"No, I don't want to look at it anymore! Deal with it quickly, I don't want to look at it anymore!" Professor Zhou was so scared that he wet himself.

He never imagined that Zhou Ying was carrying a demon fetus, just as Ye Xingchen had said, and that this demon fetus seemed to be quite powerful.

If he really takes Zhou Ying back and gives birth to such a thing, it's uncertain how many people in his research institute will survive.

"So, does that mean you're admitting defeat?" Ye Xingchen smiled slightly.

"I admit defeat, I admit defeat." Professor Zhou desperately shrank his body into the corner, not daring to look at the demonic infant even once.

"That's good. When we get back, I'll disband that damn research institute of yours. If I ever see you using the guise of the supernatural to swindle money and funding again, I'll make you pay." Ye Xingchen glanced at him, then raised the Crimson Sky Sword in his hand and stabbed it down at the demon infant.

With a soft thud, the sword light emanating from the Crimson Sky Sword pierced through the demonic infant. The monster let out a hysterical scream, then vanished completely amidst a cloud of green mist.

The eerie atmosphere in the room gradually subsided. Ye Xingchen looked at Wu Wei and nodded slightly, indicating that the matter had been resolved and his Yin soldiers could withdraw.

I clasped my hands together and bowed deeply to Ye Xingchen. Then, with a wave of my arm, the dozen or so ghost soldiers put away their spears and retreated in an orderly fashion through a place that resembled a black hole.

Wu Wei nodded slightly to Ye Xingchen before disappearing into the black mist.

The atmosphere in the room returned to normal, and Professor Zhou, that so-called expert, stood up from the ground, still shaken.

But what he had just witnessed really frightened him. When he stood up, his legs went weak and he almost collapsed to the ground.

Before this, he would never have believed that ghostly messengers and soldiers actually existed in this world, even if he were beaten to death. If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, he would have found it hard to believe.

This guy has some education and has indeed done some special research, but now he realizes that he was really narrow-minded before. The strange things happening in this world are far beyond his imagination.

"Yingying, how are you feeling?"

Ignoring his mother who had fainted from fright, Zhou's father rushed to Zhou Ying's side.

Zhou Ying's abdomen had returned to normal, and her horrifying appearance had disappeared. Ye Xingchen casually removed the talismans binding her hands and feet, and she was able to move her hands and feet again.

"Dad, I'm alright." Zhou Ying's eyes were brimming with tears. She held her father's hand tightly, not daring to let go. What had just happened was almost a life-or-death experience for her.

She was fully conscious, but couldn't control her hands and feet. Fortunately, everything is back to normal now.

"That's good, that's good." Mr. Zhou murmured to himself, only then noticing his unconscious wife.

"It's alright, your wife was just a little frightened. Let her sleep for a while. Here's a calming prescription; have her take it for three days." Ye Xingchen wrote down the prescription.

"Thank you, Mr. Ye, thank you." Mr. Zhou accepted the prescription as if it were a precious treasure. He hesitated for a moment, then said, "Mr. Ye, my daughter..."

"It's alright, the demon fetus has been removed, but she still has some demonic energy on her. Keep this talisman with you." Ye Xingchen took out another talisman and handed it to Zhou Ying: "Place it under your pillow, and the demonic energy on your body will disappear in a week."

"Alright, alright." Mr. Zhou nodded repeatedly, then said with some distress, "Mr. Ye, how did my child... get targeted by that monster?"

"It's a matter of physical constitution," Ye Xingchen said. "If I'm not mistaken, Miss Zhou was born amidst lightning, right?"

"Yes, Mr. Ye, how did you know?" Mr. Zhou was taken aback. When his daughter was born, there was thunder and lightning, and the entire hospital's power system was even paralyzed due to the thunderstorm.

Later, it was thanks to that doctor's excellent experience that the daughter was delivered safely, and both mother and daughter were safe. But that was more than ten years ago. Zhou Ying is seventeen years old now. How did Ye Xingchen know?

"Actually, the thunderstorm at that time was because a demon was undergoing tribulation in that place; the thunderstorm was the tribulation itself," Ye Xingchen said. "So when Zhou Ying was born, she was already tainted with a bit of demonic energy."

"However, these demonic energies had a negligible effect on her. But the python had just taken shape, and the demonic energy on Zhou Ying made it mistaken for its own kind, which is why it chose her to conceive its demonic offspring," Ye Xingchen explained.

"Then... he won't come back to find Yingying, will he?" Zhou's father was taken aback; these were things he had never known before.

"It's hard to say, but don't worry." Ye Xingchen took out another talisman and handed it to Zhou Ying: "Wear this talisman on your body, and don't take it off when you take a bath. This will help conceal your aura."

"Give me some time, I'll kill that snake and everything will be fine."

Zhou Ying accepted the talisman as instructed, and felt grateful to Ye Xingchen once again.

"Alright, it's all over. You can go home now. Don't worry, just contact me if anything happens." Ye Xingchen wrote down a phone number.

Mr. Zhou took the phone number and thanked Ye Xingchen profusely.

After the family of three left, Ye Xingchen also planned to leave.

“This… sir.” Just then, a weak voice came from the doorway.

Ye Xingchen turned his head and saw that the speaker was none other than the arrogant Professor Zhou from before. This guy was so scared that he almost had a heart attack. Now he was standing at the door, looking at Ye Xingchen timidly.

"What's up?" Ye Xingchen glanced at him. "I almost forgot about you if you hadn't said anything. When you get back, remember to disband your damn research association and give back all the funding you swindled. Otherwise, I'll teach you a lesson every time I see you."
