Chapter 158 Is this all you've got?

"Are these the only fancy tricks you ninjas know?" Ye Xingchen raised an eyebrow.

Several ninjas, their eyes filled with murderous intent, gave the order to attack with a wave of their hand. More than ten ninjas, wielding Japanese swords, charged towards Ye Xingchen.

Since the enemy had come to their doorstep, Ye Xingchen saw no need to be polite. He pointed his right hand into the air, and the Crimson Sky emitted a faint light. A sword aura, like a swimming dragon, surged into the crowd.

As he appeared, a flash of cold light suddenly appeared, whistling past the dozen or so ninjas.

All the ninjas were frozen in that instant, a look of disbelief in their exposed eyes, before they collapsed to the ground with thuds, dead.

Each of the fallen ninjas had a line of blood on their necks; more than ten ninjas of considerable skill were almost killed by Ye Xingchen with a single sword strike.

After dealing with these people, a figure flashed in the darkness, and a surviving ninja rushed forward.

"Trying to run?" Ye Xingchen sneered, tapping the ground with his right foot. A stone flew up and struck the ninja heavily in the back.

*Pfft...* The ninja spat out a mouthful of blood, then slammed it to the ground. A plume of smoke rose up, and using the smoke, he vanished without a trace.

Deep in the mountain forest, in a small wooden cabin.

Ning Qingyan's hands and feet were chained, and she looked somewhat haggard with a small wound on her lip. She looked at the Japanese samurai in front of her and said coldly, "The Jade Slip Heavenly Book is no longer in my hands, so why are you still pursuing it so relentlessly?"

The Japanese samurai stood there with his hands clasped around his sword, eyes closed, seemingly resting.

Upon hearing Ning Qingyan's words, he slowly opened his eyes, grinned, and replied in broken Chinese, "Miss Ning, you don't really think that your value is only in the Jade Slip Heavenly Book, do you?"

"Otherwise, what value do I have?" Ning Qingyan frowned slightly.

"You are the guardian of the Jade Slip Heavenly Book, and your blood can unlock it." The Japanese samurai said with a smile, "I am taking you away on the orders of my senior brother, Yagyu Yuzuru."

"Then why didn't you take me with you? What are you waiting for in this desolate place?" Ning Qingyan asked.

"Hehe, I heard that your man is a master, and he will come to save you." The samurai grinned: "I, Oda, although I dare not claim to be the number one master in Japan, I believe that below my senior brother, I am invincible in Japan."

"And I've also heard that there are countless experts in China. Besides assisting Mr. Sato in completing his mission, I also want to see just how strong these so-called Chinese experts really are."

"Is that what you're planning?" Ning Qingyan looked at Oda No in surprise. This guy was indeed very strong, at least at the Heavenly Realm.

But isn't his confidence a bit too much?

“Yes, Senior Brother has more important things to do. I believe your husband will definitely find our hiding place, so all we need to do now is wait patiently.” Oda smiled calmly.

He crossed his arms, holding the sword close to his chest, looking every bit the invincible master.

Suddenly, the people in the cabin were pushed open from the outside.

A ninja in black stumbled in from outside, fell to his knees with a thud, and said in a trembling voice, "Mr. Oda."

"How is it?" Oda opened her eyes again.

"Our men... are all dead. The enemy was very strong." The ninja looked panicked.

"Has he arrived?" Oda raised an eyebrow slightly.

"He, he..." the ninja stammered, then suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood and collapsed heavily to the ground.

His back bones were completely shattered. Ye Xingchen timed it perfectly, shattering his heart at the same time, allowing him to barely hold on to his last breath and return to report.

The ninja had just fallen when a figure appeared at the doorway; Ye Xingchen had arrived.

"Ye Xingchen." Ning Qingyan was both surprised and delighted to see him.

At that moment, she shed her facade of strength and burst into tears.

"Don't be afraid, I'm here," Ye Xingchen comforted her with a smile.

"I'm not afraid at all." Ning Qingyan shook her head desperately, tears welling up in her eyes.

"It's my fault, I didn't protect you well." Ye Xingchen said apologetically, "I promise, this is the last time, I will take you with me wherever I go from now on."

"I'm not your ornament, why do you always carry me with you?" Ning Qingyan asked.

“I’ll treat you like an ornament, hanging on my waist,” Ye Xingchen said.

Ning Qingyan couldn't help but laugh out loud, even though there were still tears in the corners of her eyes.

"You two, aren't you ignoring my presence a bit?" Oda spoke up from the side.

"Who are you?" Ye Xingchen turned his head, his gaze gradually turning cold.

"I am Oda No, the second-best swordsman in Japan." Oda No raised his head, exuding an air of profound mystery.

"Never heard of it." Ye Xingchen shook his head: "I only know that the number one swordsman in Japan is Yagyu Yuzuru, I've never heard of any bullshit number two swordsman."

“He is my senior brother.” Oda’s eyes were full of anger. Everyone only knows the title of first, but often ignores the second.

However, he felt that the gap between himself and his senior brother was not that big, so he was very angry.

"Heh, do you think you're so great? Someone this great, do you still need to rely on your senior brother's name to let the world know about you?" Ye Xingchen glanced at him.

"Ye Xingchen!" Oda was furious. "I'm no worse than him. I've heard you're a master."

"That's why I didn't take this woman back as originally planned, otherwise she would be hanging upside down in the air now, having her heart's blood extracted."

"Then I really should thank you for giving me time to save her." Ye Xingchen said, "What do you want? To have a match with me?"

“That’s right.” Oda raised his right hand, and the sword in his hand floated in mid-air on its own: “I’m going to kill you to prove that I’m no worse than Yagyu Yuuma.”

"Your strength is not bad, it seems you've reached the Heavenly Realm, right?" Ye Xingchen nodded: "Release her, and I'll have a good fight with you."

"Alright." Oda No drew his right hand, and the sword in his hand left its sheath on its own. A flash of sword light burst out, and with two clangs, the iron chains on Ning Qingyan's hands and feet were cut open.

Ning Qingyan regained her freedom and ran forward to hug Ye Xingchen tightly.

"Wait for me outside. I'll take you home after I've sorted things out here," Ye Xingchen said.

"Okay." Ning Qingyan nodded heavily and obediently walked to the outside of the wooden house to wait.

"My sword is named Autumn Water, and I learned it from Master Jiantian, the master of the Autumn Sorrow Sword." The sword floating in front of Oda Nobuyo shook violently, and a sharp sword aura was already being emitted.
