Chapter 472 You're Really Asking for Death

The remaining bodyguards were at a loss, and none of them dared to step forward.

Chen Wuliang turned his head and glanced at Chen Roujin, saying in surprise, "Huh, such a strong baleful aura."

As he spoke, he casually pointed with his right hand, and a streak of light shot out. With a hiss, one of the bodyguard's arms shot into the sky.

The bodyguard collapsed to the ground and fainted, and his arm disappeared rapidly under the cover of black mist.

"Take him away." Chen Wuliang waved his hand.

"Take him away quickly," Chen Wanning waved his hand hastily.

Several bodyguards quickly dragged the injured bodyguard away and hurriedly ran out.

"Is this your granddaughter?" Chen Wuliang looked at Chen Roujin with great interest.

"Yes, yes, the eldest son's daughter," Chen Wanning said, his heart pounding with fear.

"Not bad, he has a ruthless streak." Chen Wuliang said with a smile, "With proper training, he will definitely achieve great things in the future."

Chen Wanning nodded quickly, but he was already somewhat shocked.

My father is over a hundred years old and has been practicing Buddhism for many years. He no longer pays much attention to his descendants.

But now he was praising Chen Roujin highly, which puzzled Chen Wanning. Moreover, this granddaughter was the one he disliked the most because she was a madwoman.

“Kid, who are you? Why are you talking so maturely?” Chen Roujin stepped forward.

"Insolence! Get out of here!" Chen Wanning was taken aback. He knew Chen Wuliang's personality; any normal person who dared to get so close to him would be killed on the spot.

"It's alright." Chen Wuliang waved his hand, looking at Chen Roujin with interest: "Girl, what's your name?"

"Chen Roujin, old man, where did this child come from?" Chen Roujin tilted her head and stared at Chen Wuliang, but after looking for a long time, she still couldn't figure out where the child came from.

But judging from the old man's demeanor, he seemed to be very respectful to her, which puzzled Chen Roujin.

"Chen Roujin? Okay, I remember you. How much money does she need? Approve it." Chen Wuliang said slowly.

"Yes." Chen Wanning bowed respectfully. Chen Wuliang's words meant approval.

"Wow, your words carry so much weight! My grandpa actually listens to you?" Chen Roujin looked at Chen Wuliang in surprise and couldn't help but reach out and pat his head. "You're pretty amazing. What's your name?"

However, Chen Wuliang's expression changed. Before she could touch his head, he gently tapped it with his finger.

With a whoosh, a burst of true energy struck Chen Roujin's brow. The powerful energy almost condensed into a white mist, forcefully sending Chen Roujin flying.

"Ah..." Chen Roujin screamed and was sent flying.

She tumbled out of the pavilion and tried to get up, but an extremely powerful divine sense locked onto her.

The immense pressure made it almost impossible for her to lift her head. She collapsed to her knees with a thud, gasping for breath.

The oppressive force continued to exert pressure, and she felt as if her neck was about to be crushed.

“Tell her who I am,” Chen Wuliang sneered.

"You scoundrel, this is your great-grandfather, why aren't you kneeling down and admitting your mistake?" Chen Wanning shouted immediately.

"Great-grandfather?" Chen Roujin was utterly astonished. This child in front of her was her great-grandfather?

“That’s right.” Chen Wuliang smiled slightly, took a step forward, and in a flash, he was already in front of Chen Roujin.

He put his hands behind his back and looked down at Chen Roujin: "The Chen family has finally produced an interesting junior, but it's a pity she's a woman."

"But it's okay, I quite like it. The evil arts you've cultivated are indeed impressive, and you have a talent for them. Keep up the good work, I have high hopes for you."

After Chen Wuliang finished speaking, he turned and left.

Chen Roujin felt a sense of relief as the pressure from Chen Wuliang disappeared.

She struggled to her feet, panting heavily, and glanced at Chen Wuliang's back, a look of lingering fear on her face.

This was also the first time she had ever felt awe for someone.

"Is this really my great-grandfather?" Chen Roujin asked Chen Wanning.

"Otherwise what? Why would I recognize a father for no reason?" Chen Wanning glanced at her coldly: "You're really lucky. If it were anyone else, they'd probably be dead if they dared to touch his head."

"He's still my great-grandfather, he wouldn't really kill me, would he?" Chen Roujin regained her composure and said with a smile, "I don't think he would be so heartless."

“He has been practicing for many years, and what he pursues is different from ours. Family ties are not that important to him.”

Chen Wanning warned her, "You must remember this from now on: never offend him, or no one can save you."

"Alright, alright, I got it." Chen Roujin said somewhat impatiently, "Get the money I need approved quickly."

"What do you need so much money for?" Chen Wanning frowned slightly when he saw her financial needs.

“Of course I have my uses for it. If you don’t give it to me, I’ll go ask my great-grandfather for it right now,” Chen Roujin snorted.

"Don't bother me again if there's nothing else." Chen Wanning casually signed his name and then walked away.

He had never liked this granddaughter, especially since she was a mentally unstable person.

As they left the villa and reached the entrance, they saw Chen Zhengyi waiting respectfully.

Seeing his eldest son, Chen Wanning felt inexplicably annoyed: "Don't wait here anymore, your grandfather doesn't want to see anyone."

"Alright, I'll come another day so Grandpa can get some rest." Chen Zhengyi wasn't discouraged.

“You don’t need to come anymore.” Chen Wanning said calmly, “Your grandfather has been practicing cultivation for so many years, he doesn’t value family ties that much.”

"Okay, I understand." Chen Zhengyi paused for a moment, then nodded.

"Besides, he's very dissatisfied with you. You... better watch yourself." Chen Wanning turned and left.

Standing there, Chen Zhengyi suddenly had a bad feeling.

He felt that he had made a mistake, but it was too late to say anything now.

He stood there for a long time before slowly raising his head.

The moment he raised his head, his expression was indifferent, and he resolutely turned and left.

In his heart, he had already made a decision, one that belonged to him, Chen Zhengyi, and no one could take it away.

In a luxurious clubhouse, Chen Zhengye met with Ye Xingchen privately.

"Mr. Ye, I've long admired your name." Chen Zhengye extended his hand warmly.

Ye Xingchen didn't offer a handshake. He glanced at Chen Zhengye and said, "Mr. Chen, just get to the point. There's no need for such enthusiasm. We're not that close."

"Hehe, Mr. Ye, there's no need to be so hostile towards me. After all, we are allies." Chen Zhengye chuckled and withdrew his hand, showing no embarrassment whatsoever.
