He knew his reputation was so great, so he introduced himself directly on the plane, which would have prevented people from thinking he had ulterior motives.
"I...I didn't look carefully. I thought you were lying, a liar..." Yi Qingmeng was so ashamed that she wished she could disappear into a crack in the ground.
It was precisely because he was too wary that he almost missed out on the great master Ye Xingchen.
A friend of hers worked at Star Group and told her about these things.
Moreover, her circle is not an ordinary circle; she has access to things that ordinary people cannot access, so she had heard of Ye Xingchen.
"A scammer?" Ye Xingchen was both amused and exasperated. "Have you ever seen a scammer who could shut down an internet celebrity with millions of followers with just one phone call? If someone really had that kind of power, why would they need to scam, and why would they bother to scam?"
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, it's my fault." Yi Qingmeng looked extremely embarrassed.
"It's nothing, maybe I was just being too enthusiastic." Ye Xingchen smiled, not taking it seriously. "Zhenzhen will wake up soon."
“Her heart disease is quite special; it’s one of the more difficult types to treat. Although it has been cured, she still needs to recuperate for a period of time. I’ll prescribe some medication for her; you can just take it according to the prescription.”
"Thank you." Yi Qingmeng looked directly at Ye Xingchen, a hint of gratitude on her face.
My sister is finally cured, and the huge weight that has been on her mind for so long has finally been lifted.
Soon, Zhenzhen woke up. Her complexion was much rosier than before, and she spoke with a strong voice. She no longer looked sickly like before.
"Sister, what's this brother doing here?" Zhenzhen asked Ye Xingchen, looking confused.
"Your brother is here to treat your illness." Yi Qingmeng held her younger sister's hand and asked with concern, "Zhenzhen, how are you feeling now? Is anything bothering you?"
"No, I feel great, sister." Zhenzhen shook her head.
"Zhenzhen, do some vigorous exercise," Ye Xingchen said. "Thirty jumps in place."
"No, she has a heart condition and can't do strenuous exercise at all." Yi Qingmeng was taken aback.
Zhenzhen used to get out of breath after walking a lot, but now she can't even keep up with things like jumping in place.
"She's all better now. We need to check on her heart condition," Ye Xingchen said.
"Okay, Zhenzhen, go and try it. If you feel your heart beating too fast, you have to stop immediately," Yi Qingmeng instructed worriedly.
"Okay, sister." Zhenzhen nodded and went to the side to start dancing.
Normally, she would never dare to do such strenuous exercise. Children are naturally active, and even jumping a few times occasionally would make her heart race and she would have to stop.
This time, however, she jumped more than a dozen times in one go, and apart from being a little out of breath, she did not feel any discomfort.
"Twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thirty, phew... that's enough." Zhenzhen persevered and finished all thirty jumps in place, then stopped and said, "I'm so tired."
Ye Xingchen reached out and placed his hand on her wrist to take her pulse. After a moment, he nodded and said, "Your pulse and heart rate are both within the normal range. Don't worry."
"Does that mean she's recovered?" Yi Qingmeng asked, both surprised and delighted.
"It's better now," Ye Xingchen said. "However, she doesn't get enough exercise. With proper exercise, her body will gradually adapt and she'll be able to exercise like a normal child."
"Great, that's wonderful!" Yi Qingmeng hugged Zhenzhen, overjoyed. "Zhenzhen, did you hear that? From now on, you can move around like a normal child."
"I heard you, sister! That's wonderful!" Zhenzhen cheered excitedly.
As dawn approached, the child, unable to stay awake any longer, went to sleep.
Ye Xingchen was about to leave, but Yi Qingmeng stopped him: "It's almost dawn. Rest here for a while. I'll make breakfast so you can have something before you go."
"Alright." Ye Xingchen thought for a moment, then nodded.
Yi Qingmeng tied on her apron and went to the kitchen to start preparing.
Although her family is well-off, her mother has been ill for many years, and she often cooks for her mother herself.
Breakfast was simple: milk, bread, and a fried egg.
By the time the food was served, it was already slightly dawn.
Having not slept all night, Ye Xingchen was indeed a little hungry. He took the chopsticks and said with a smile, "Then I won't be polite."
"Why are you being so polite? You saved my sister's life, which means you saved both of us sisters. Can't I even make you breakfast?" Yi Qingmeng said softly. She seemed to remember something and slowly lowered her head.
"Has something happened at your home? Is your mother gone?" Ye Xingchen asked.
“Yes, my father was born when Zhenzhen was just born. My mother has always been in charge of the family company, but now she’s gone, and my uncles and aunts… are going to take over the company.” Yi Qingmeng said slowly.
"They're taking advantage of the fact that you're a girl. Did your mother leave a will before she passed away?" Ye Xingchen asked.
"They did stay." Yi Qingmeng nodded slowly: "The company was inherited by my sister and me, but now they come to cause trouble every few days."
"A will is all that's needed. Even if your mother is gone, it's not their place to interfere with the company." Ye Xingchen took out a business card and placed it on the table: "Contact me directly if you have any difficulties. I can solve anything for you."
"But this time, please don't throw away the business card."
"No, it won't happen." Yi Qingmeng gripped the business card tightly, a long-lost smile appearing on her face.
"The eggs are fried very well," Ye Xingchen said with a smile, taking a bite of a fried egg.
“My mother said the same thing before she passed away.” Yi Qingmeng stared blankly at Ye Xingchen, her expression filled with reminiscence.
Just then, the villa door was suddenly opened from the outside, and a middle-aged man walked in.
"Uncle, what brings you here?" Yi Qingmeng suddenly stood up. "How do you have a key to my house?"
"What, can't I even come to see the house my own son left behind?" An old woman walked out from behind the middle-aged man.
The middle-aged man was Yi Qiang, Yi Qingmeng's uncle, and the old lady was Liu, Yi Qingmeng's grandmother.
“Grandma…” Yi Qingmeng remained silent, staring intently at the old lady. She knew what these people were here for.
Yi Qiang glanced coldly at Yi Qingmeng, then helped Old Madam Liu in, ignoring Zhong Xingchen, the guest, and the two sat down on the sofa.
"Yi Qingmeng, today is the deadline. I notified you before that you should take your sister and leave this villa." Yi Qiang said, "Why haven't you moved out yet?"
"This is my home, why should I move out?" Yi Qingmeng said coldly.
