Chapter 172 Si Qianyu's Persistence

A movement came from the bushes in the distance, followed by a series of whooshing sounds as dozens of hidden weapons attacked.

Ye Xingchen waved his hand to knock the hidden weapon away, and a red figure followed immediately, thrusting two weapons, one long and one short, at Ye Xingchen.

These two weapons were familiar; they were Bichen and Qijie, and the attacker was Si Qianyu.

He shifted his body to the side, dodging the opponent's attack, and then took a step to the left, just managing to avoid his sharp sword strike.

Si Qianyu's moves were fierce, each sword strike a deadly move, but Ye Xingchen walked leisurely, narrowly dodging each of her sword strikes.

With a quick snap of his right hand, Ye Xingchen caught the sword thrusting at him and said with a smile, "You are the most persistent person I have ever met."

Si Qianyu gritted her teeth and thrust her other hand forward.

Ye Xingchen flicked his finger, knocking the sword out of her hand. With a wave of his right hand, several blades of grass floated up like sharp swords, hovering around her neck.

With her Heavenly Realm strength, Ye Xingchen only needed to make a move, and those few inconspicuous blades of grass would be enough to severely injure her.

"Do you still want to fight?" Ye Xingchen asked, looking at her.

"I'm not fighting anymore." Si Qiancun threw the two swords in his hand to the ground and squatted down in a huff.

"How many times has this happened?" Ye Xingchen said helplessly, "You're really persistent."

Judging from her appearance, she's probably about to give up.

“I don’t remember, but don’t worry, I will kill you again as long as there is a chance.” Si Qianyu gritted her teeth and said, “The people of the Three Thousand Towers never give up.”

"I remember saying last time that anyone who causes me trouble will be punished," Ye Xingchen said with a smile.

"Whatever, come on." Si Qianyu glanced at him.

"Yeah, just like last time. If the kids misbehave, they'll get a spanking." Ye Xingchen grinned mischievously.

“You…” Si Qianyu’s face immediately turned red.

"You have to accept the consequences of your bet. I've let you go so many times already." Ye Xingchen raised an eyebrow.

"Come on." Si Qianyu closed her eyes, and her face flushed as she recalled the time Ye Xingchen had hung her from a tree and spanked her.

But there was nothing she could do; her skills were simply inferior.

Ye Xingchen grabbed a vine from the roadside and was about to hang her up.

"Wait a minute, if you're going to hit me, then hit me. There's no need to hang me up." Si Qianyu said resentfully, "I keep my word. Every time you hit me, I'll remember you more."

"Alright." Ye Xingchen picked up a bamboo stick and held it high.

Si Qianyu closed her eyes, her delicate body trembling slightly, waiting for Ye Xingchen's stick to fall.

Her buttocks were sensitive, but she suddenly found herself actually liking the feeling, which made her feel incredibly ashamed.

But after waiting for a long time, the stick did not fall, which puzzled Si Qianli. She looked up at Ye Xingchen and saw a smile on his face.

"You seem to be really looking forward to it," Ye Xingchen smiled.

Has this woman been conquered by him? Although she showed no mercy this time, her personality has changed significantly compared to before.

At least, their meetings were no longer confrontational or life-or-death battles.

"No, don't talk nonsense." Si Qianyu was both ashamed and angry, feeling like she wanted to disappear into a crack in the ground.

Now she really wanted to kill Ye Xingchen with a single blow.

"Tell me, what are you doing here?" Ye Xingchen threw the bamboo in his hand aside.

"Hmph, it's none of your business," Si Qianyu said coldly.

"You didn't come all the way here just to kill me, did you?" Ye Xingchen asked.

"Of course not. Although you are annoying, it's not enough to make me come all this way to kill you," Si Qianyu said coldly.

“That’s strange. This place is deep in the mountains of Yunnan and Guizhou. Under normal circumstances, so many people wouldn’t travel thousands of miles to come here, but recently quite a few martial arts figures have appeared here,” Ye Xingchen said.

"You don't know?" Si Qiancun glanced at him. "Then what are you doing here?"

"I'm here on important business, and I really don't know what's going to happen here." Ye Xingchen's expression grew increasingly puzzled.

"I heard that a master observed the celestial phenomena at night, and the Seven Stars pointed directly to the southwest. My lord, a divine object is about to be born." Si Qianyu saw that Ye Xingchen's expression did not seem to be fake.

"Who said that?" Ye Xingchen was furious. He was convinced that this was definitely the work of the Japanese.

They deliberately lured martial arts practitioners here, claiming there were treasures, causing them to fight each other, so that they could reap the benefits.

"The Imperial Advisor Yi Anchen said it himself, how could it be false?" Si Qianyu snorted: "Don't tell me you really didn't know."

“Yi Anchen?” Ye Xingchen’s gaze deepened. “He couldn’t possibly have any connection with the Japanese. Someone must be using his name to spread rumors.”

"What Japanese?" Si Qianyu asked, puzzled.

"Never mind that, just leave." Ye Xingchen shook his head and said, "Let me tell you responsibly, no treasures have appeared here. It's all made up."

"How do you know? My sect members are here too, all for the treasure. You want me to leave now?" Si Qianyu's eyes dimmed slightly when she mentioned her sect.

"If you don't want your entire sect to perish here, you'd better listen to me." Ye Xingchen said calmly, "I'm warning you again, there are no treasures here."

"Hmph, why should I believe you?" Si Qianyu said angrily.

"Just because I touched your whole body," Ye Xingchen said, slapping her across the face.

"Ye Xingchen, I'll kill you..." Si Qianyu screamed, but Ye Xingchen had already walked away laughing.

Watching Ye Xingchen walk away, she stomped her foot in anger, but there was nothing she could do about it.

At night, the moon was high and the stars were sparse.

This place has been very popular lately, so a bonfire party was organized in the evening, with local specialties on display to welcome the guests.

People in the mountains are hospitable; isn't that an absolute truth?

Moreover, the people here are not hypocritical like those outside; they genuinely treat others with sincerity.

Ye Xingchen was also invited to the bonfire party. Local young and beautiful girls, dressed in ethnic minority costumes, welcomed the visitors with beautiful songs and dances.

Su Jin also ran out of the village. She handed Ye Xingchen a jar of wine, and the two gently clinked glasses and drank.

"The Japanese haven't made a move at all, and we don't know what they're up to. Are you just going to wait here forever if they don't come out?" Su Jin asked.

"Why haven't they made a move? Otherwise, why would so many people come to this remote, deserted village?" Ye Xingchen said.

Su Jin was slightly taken aback. She looked up and saw that indeed, many martial arts practitioners had come to the town in the past few days.
