Just watching Ren Jin from afar, I couldn't help but feel a little restless.
I bent down to change my shoes and was about to go inside when I saw a pair of black men's sneakers by the wall.
He paused for two seconds, then subconsciously looked into the room; the door was closed.
He narrowed his eyes at Gu Yueji, a dangerous glint in them. "Gu Yueji, are you keeping another man?"
Gu Yueji was still replying to messages from the manufacturer when he suddenly asked her a question, leaving her stunned. She sat at the dining table and looked at him in surprise, "What nonsense are you talking about?!"
He kicked a shoe on the ground, sending one flying. "Whose shoes are these?"
Gu Yueji only realized what he meant when she saw the shoes, and laughed angrily, "Why don't you stick your dog leg in and try it on, and see if it fits you, you dog of a man?"
Ren Jin was taken aback. He looked down at the shoes, still not quite believing it. He took off the shoe covers and put them on, and they fit perfectly.
"You bought this for me?" Ren Jin asked, a smile already in his eyes.
Gu Yueji shook her head, "No, I bought it for that scoundrel."
Ren Jin believed him this time. Wearing his shoes, he walked over, pulled the man over, and kissed him. "You're so good to me? You even bought me new shoes because they were worn out."
Still displeased that he had misunderstood her, Gu Yueji impatiently pushed him away, saying, "I'm only good to my dog of a man."
As soon as Ren Jin entered the room and saw a pair of strange men's shoes, something rushed into his mind, and he blurted out something without thinking.
Holding her close, he started joking around, "Only nice to your jerk?" He whispered in her ear, "If I admit I'm a jerk, then am I your man?"
Gu Yueji was stunned for a moment before she understood, and shyly continued to push him, "You gave me a dining table, so consider these shoes a return gift. They're not the same style as before, but they're of good quality, so you can wear them for a longer time."
Ren Jin stepped on the shoes under his feet; they were quite soft.
He discovered that Gu Yueji was the kind of person who couldn't accept others being nice to her; if you were nice to her a little, she would expect you to be nice to her tenfold in return.
She was still thinking of giving a return gift for a worthless wooden table.
But he actually enjoyed her being like that.

Summer in G City is the most unbearable and unpredictable. The sun is scorching hot at 7 or 8 in the morning, but in the afternoon, dark clouds will suddenly gather and then a torrential downpour will begin.
At noon, Ren Jin was still delivering orders when a rumble of thunder suddenly sounded in the sky. He knew it was going to rain again, but he didn't expect it to be so soon. Before he had finished delivering a single order, the rain fell like stones, splashing dust and heat on the scorching cement ground.
After delivering all the orders, Ren Jin looked at himself, soaked to the bone, and felt that he had just wasted his time and that people he knew would laugh at him.
But then I thought about it again, and realized he was just someone who loved to experiment. He dropped out of high school and started working, going to factories, street stalls, repairmen, and finally construction sites. It was through this restless nature that he slowly made a name for himself.
To avoid running into acquaintances, he chose a delivery location far from his usual area. It was a relatively old district; he had only ever driven through it before, never actually set foot there. Thinking about it, if he hadn't been delivering food, he might never have met Gu Yueji in his entire life.
I rushed into the stairwell in the pouring rain, wiped the rain off my face, and shook the water droplets off the takeout bag.
This is a cold dish I bought for Gu Yueji. In the morning, I asked her what she wanted to eat, and she said that she didn't have an appetite because of the hot weather and wanted to eat something sour, spicy, and cold. Hearing this, he laughed and asked her if she was pregnant. She rushed over and hit him, her face showing both shame and anger.
Ren Jin recalled that scene and unconsciously smiled.
Gu Yueji opened the door and was surprised to see Ren Jin looking like a drowned rat. "How did you get so wet? Didn't you wear a raincoat?"
He handed her the cold dish, and took off his shirt while standing at the door, thinking, "I'll be back after this delivery, so I'm too lazy to put it back on."
His clothes were dripping wet, and Gu Yueji pushed him into the bathroom, saying, "Go take a shower."
Less than 5 minutes later, the bathroom door opened. Gu Yueji looked up when she heard the sound and saw Ren Jin standing naked behind the door.
She widened her eyes, deliberately trying not to look down, "Why aren't you wearing any clothes?!"
Ren Jin walked out casually, saying, "As soon as I entered the house, you pushed me into the bathroom. Where was I supposed to get clothes to wear?"
As he was saying this, he headed straight for the balcony to collect the clothes, but Gu Yueji quickly stopped him, saying, "I've already taken the clothes back to my room, you can go to your room to get them."
Seeing that her eyes were wandering around and she wouldn't look at him, Ren Jin got a playful urge, grabbed her chin and made her turn to look at him.
"Stop pretending. What part of my body haven't you seen before?"
She sat in the chair, and he stood. He pinched her face so that it was directly below his navel, and his gaze inevitably fell on that spot. He even deliberately swayed his head towards her, and Gu Yueji's face immediately turned red.
Ren Jin couldn't help but laugh as he looked at Gu Yueji's blushing face. She was alluring and seductive in bed, but once off the bed, she would blush even if he teased her. It was this contrast between her maturity and her naivety that often made him feel restless.
With a suggestive and wanton smile, he leaned down and kissed her lips hard. "I'll let you watch slowly tonight."
He looked into her eyes, his dark pupils revealing undisguised desire, and Gu Yueji's face turned even redder.
His desires in this area were so blatant that they were embarrassing. He was already considered restrained when he said some suggestive things in normal times, but his uninhibited behavior in bed was enough to make anyone feel ashamed just thinking about it.
Gu Yueji glared at him, annoyed and embarrassed. She didn't want to admit it, but this man had given her a pleasure she had never experienced before, as if opening up a blank yet sensitive area. So much so that just looking at her made her feel weak and hot all over.
