He smiled warmly at Xiao Yao, "Seeing is believing!"
Upon hearing this, Xiao Yao glanced at Zhong Xuyang and asked, "Have you heard of it?"
Yu Bowen also looked at Zhong Xuyang, "I called this person a few times, and he always said he was with you and didn't have time to talk to me. I've been abroad the whole time, and he's said several times that he'll introduce you to me when I come back to China."

Xiao Yao laughed and asked, "How many years did you stay abroad?"
“I went abroad after graduating from high school and only returned to China last month.”
Xiao Yao thought to herself, "No wonder. This person's actions and speech don't fit the simple and unpretentious style of today's young Chinese people."
"Which country did you study in?"
"Cornell University, USA."
"Cornell? I have a friend who studied there too."
"Really? What's your name?"

Zhong Xuyang sat between the two. Seeing Xiao Yao and Yu Bowen chatting so happily, he felt quite gratified because he hoped that Xiao Yao could integrate into his circle.
However, seeing how the two were getting along so well, Zhong Xuyang's smile slowly faded.
Xiao Yao was pleasantly surprised that Yu Bowen knew Situ Ying. They chatted enthusiastically for a while about how Yu Bowen and Situ Ying met, until she noticed that Zhong Xuyang hadn't said a word. She turned to him and asked in confusion, "Why aren't you saying anything?"
Zhong Xuyang snapped out of his reverie and shook his head. "No, seeing you two chatting so happily as if you'd known each other forever, I couldn't get a word in edgewise."
Xiao Yao joked, "Your brother is handsome and funny, you should have introduced us to him sooner."
"Is it fun to get to know Bowen?"
Xiao Yao didn't notice that Zhong Xuyang's smile faded a bit. "I'm happy, he's quite interesting."
Yu Bowen and Situ Ying met because Situ Ying went to the wrong classroom and sat in his seat. The two argued about the seats, and in the end, Yu Bowen was persuaded by Situ Ying to go to her classroom. So the two switched classes and attended one class.
Xiao Yao thought of Situ Ying's unreasonable and argumentative manner, and just thinking about the scene made her burst out laughing.
Seeing Xiao Yao's overjoyed expression, Zhong Xuyang's lips curled into a smile, and he asked, half-jokingly, "Is it more fun talking to him than talking to me?"
After he asked the question, both Xiao Yao and Yu Bowen were stunned.
Yu Bowen was the first to react, "Bro, you're not jealous of me, are you?"
Zhong Xuyang did not deny it; he didn't even glance at Yu Bowen.
Xiao Yao was stunned. "Are you really jealous?"
Zhong Xuyang countered, "Can I be jealous?"
Xiao Yao was incredulous. "No, this is your brother. Why are you jealous?"
Zhong Xuyang blurted out, "You might also fall for my brother."
As soon as he finished speaking, Zhong Xuyang realized he had said the wrong thing, and Xiao Yao's face visibly turned ugly.
Xiao Yao couldn't hear the noise around her; she just stared incredulously at Zhong Xuyang, who looked flustered.
The words a person says unconsciously are their truest thoughts, but she never imagined that Zhong Xuyang would think of her that way.
So he thinks she's the same as Lin Wenwen?
