Chapter 3 This is hurting her.

Seeing that Ye Nuan didn't look at her, the purple-clothed woman chuckled and raised her chin high: "Forget it if you don't want to change, I hope you can live longer!" She said to Wu Tu: "Give her food and water."

"No need!" Ye Nuan quickly refused.

Wu Tu immediately took out a water bag and a small bag of dry food from the camel's backpack and threw them at Ye Nuan's feet.

The three people who paid the silver were arranged on the last truck of the caravan. The camel moved forward slowly, the camel bells jingled again, and the wheels left slight marks as they passed by the crowd.

Su Shi held on tight and protected Ye Nuan behind her, and only breathed a sigh of relief when she saw the caravan go away.

Many people ran behind the caravan for a hundred meters or so, and finally lay down due to exhaustion, watching the caravan go further and further away in despair.

The flag embroidered with the word "Jiang" fluttered in the wind in the wilderness and disappeared from sight accompanied by the sound of camel bells.

Everyone's eyes were fixed on the water bag and dry food at Ye Nuan's feet, their eyes flashing with desire.

Ye Nuan's scalp tingled. This woman didn't want her to live longer, she clearly wanted to die quickly.

Their group was short of food and water, and if she gave them to them now, she would become a target. She might be able to scare a frail middle-aged man, but if they attacked her in droves, pretending to be fierce would be useless!

The people who were originally sitting or standing had a tendency to move closer to this side. Ye Xiaohu huddled together and hugged Su's legs. Su naturally noticed that something was wrong.

The sun was high in the sky, and Ye Nuan's mind was racing. Her tone told these people to rob her, so instead of asking her to take the initiative and do them a favor, she decided to do them a favor.

She picked up the dry food and water on the ground and shouted to the young man, "Hey, come here."

The man was still holding his old mother and crying anxiously. When he heard Ye Nuan calling him and looked at the water bag in her hand, his eyes suddenly brightened. He carefully put his mother down and ran to her.

Under everyone's gaze, Ye Nuan poured some water into her water bag, took out two steamed buns, and stuffed the rest into the big man's hands. She said softly, "Take some to feed your mother, and then distribute the water and food to everyone."

The young man took the water and food, thanked them repeatedly, and walked back, wiping his tears. He first fed some water to the fainted old mother, kept some for himself, and then distributed the rest to the others.

No one will benefit from monopolizing these things; the safest way is to share them.

Ye Nuan definitely wouldn't be able to hold out for long with just this little bit of water and other things left, but she still had the Spiritual Spring. While the water bag wasn't closed yet, Ye Nuan flipped her wrist and dripped the Spiritual Spring water into it, only to discover, tragically, that she could only squeeze out a single drop.

She was surprised, but she tried twice more without giving up.

No water.

Upon closer inspection, the surface of the spiritual spring was no longer dry, but there was still no water.

A piece of jade can only squeeze out one drop of water. How much jade is needed to feed the spiritual spring?

Not only did she travel to hell mode, but even the spiritual spring mutated into hell mode!

She looked up at the wasteland covered with dead grass. Where could she find jade?

Suddenly I feel so poor!

"Mom, drink some water first." She handed the water bag to Su.

Su did not refuse and took a sip, only to find that the water was unexpectedly sweet. As the water flowed down her throat, it felt like a warm current was flowing into her stomach, and even her original illness seemed to be mostly eliminated.

She couldn't help but take another sip and wondered, "The water in this wilderness is so sweet." It was sweeter than any water she had drunk in all these years.

Ye Nuan chuckled: "Mom must be very thirsty, that's why she thinks it's so sweet."

It seems to make some sense!

When Ye Xiaohu heard it was sweet, he stood on tiptoe and looked eagerly. Su squatted down and handed the water bag to his mouth. He gulped down a mouthful, licked his lips, and looked up at Ye Nuan: "Sister, it's really sweet, better than sugar water."

The people who were given water took a sip and found it not sweet but a bit of mud and sand.

The water poured out of a kettle shouldn't be like that!

Ye Nuan also took the water bag and took a sip. It tasted sweet on the tip of her tongue. Her burnt skin seemed to become much clearer and she felt less hungry.

She didn't know if it was her illusion, but the scar on the right side of her face felt slightly itchy, like the kind of itch that felt like a shell was about to fall off.

Her eyes lit up slightly. This drop of spiritual spring seemed to be more effective than the previous one.

It turns out that the essence is concentrated!

In her previous life, she had a perfect figure, black hair like satin, and her body was as smooth as fat, with every part of her body radiant and white, all thanks to the spiritual spring. If she used the spiritual spring, could that large, ugly scar on her face be removed?

The more Ye Nuan thought about it, the more excited she became.

But she didn't have the jade, and her excited heart instantly cooled down.

The woman in purple said that it would take them ten days to get to Dahuang Village. If they didn't take the wrong road and didn't encounter any accidents, could the three of them make it there with just this water and two steamed buns?

Ye Nuan frowned and thought carefully: It seems unlikely.

She also thought about finding a water source, but it was easier said than done.

First, they were unfamiliar with the wilderness.

Secondly, there is little water in the wilderness, and you may die of thirst before you find it. Instead of looking for water, it is better to head directly to your destination.

Furthermore, there are many wild animals in the wilderness, and there will definitely be wild animals roaming around wherever there is water.

For now, we can only take one step at a time and see how it goes.

After a brief rest, the twenty or so people began to head north. After walking for an hour or so, Ye Nuan was sweating profusely. Ye Xiaohu stumbled and fell several times, his mouth pursed, tears welling in his eyes, but he refused to let them fall.

My sister said: If you cry too much, you will turn into raisins!

After drinking the water, Su Shi felt stronger and picked him up. The sun moved westward, but the heat wave did not subside at all. The worst thing was that they were lost.

In an unfamiliar wilderness, without a compass or a guide, it would be abnormal not to get lost.

After walking for another quarter of an hour, Ye Nuan and Su Shi stopped. Many people in front of them also slumped down on the weeds. The middle-aged, wretched man who had previously robbed Ye Nuan's things shouted hoarsely, "Why did you stop? Do you want to stay here and die?"

Most people remained silent, feeling somewhat hopeless. No wonder people said that being exiled to the wilderness was more painful than being beheaded. At this moment, they fully understood this.

The man seemed to be doing it on purpose and cursed at Ye Nuan, "You're holding us back, why aren't you leaving?"

His head still hurts because he deliberately targeted Ye Nuan.

Ye Nuan's dark eyes looked back at him coldly, and that moment reminded him of the bloody stone, and the man shrank back.

Ye Nuan said coldly, "Can't you see we're lost? Why don't we all find a shady place to hide and reduce energy consumption, and then leave when the North Star comes out at night."

The others were much more lenient towards Ye Nuan, some even echoing her. They looked at the middle-aged man with a hint of disdain. He had just taken the little girl's food and water, and now he was deliberately picking on her.

shameless!

The middle-aged man's face flushed red as he shouted anxiously, "There are wild beasts at night. How can we escape?"

Ye Nuan sneered: "You don't have to leave, no one is holding you back!"

The middle-aged man stammered twice, his face pale as pig liver. He wanted to say something, but the young man who had asked Ye Nuan for a light pushed him aside and said unhappily, "She's right. If you don't want to wait for Beichenxing to come out, you can leave first."

No one objected anymore, in fact there was no better way.

Ye Nuan glanced around and, amidst the scattered yellow leaves, caught a glimpse of a pile of red rocks to her left. The sun was setting, creating a nice shade. She tugged at Su's sleeve and walked over. She chose the windproof side, cleared away the rubble underneath, and then carefully inspected it, making sure there were no insects, ants, snakes, or frogs around. Then she untied her bundle and spread a piece of clothing on the ground.

Su held the sleepy little tiger in her arms and sat down against a rock. Seeing this, the others walked over in twos and threes and chose a seat to sit down.

After everyone sat down, they discovered that Ye Nuan, who had arrived first, was standing instead. He scanned the area with his dark eyes and said, "I'm going to look for water nearby. Who of you would like to go with me?"

Looking for water? She must be crazy. How could she let them believe that she could find water when she couldn't even find the road?

No one spoke, obviously not believing she could find water. Going out would only waste their energy, and they couldn't afford the effort any more!

Su held her son in her arms with a look of horror on her face, and reached out to pull her dusty trouser legs, "A Nuan, don't go, it's dangerous!" There was still one day's worth of water in the water bag, and this water was especially thirst-quenching. If they saved some, they might be able to survive for two days, and maybe they would meet someone passing by again after two days.

Su herself was not sure about these assumptions, but she was worried about An Nuan leaving her.

"Mom, I'm mainly going to collect some firewood. Beichenxing won't come out immediately after dark, so it's safer to make a fire. I promise I won't go far."

After she said this, the others began to move.

As soon as it gets dark, wild animals will appear, so it’s time to make a fire!

Many people stood up.

Su was still a little worried, "Don't go too far. If you don't come, mother will wait here."

The worry in her eyes was genuine, and Ye Nuan felt warm and touched. In her previous life, she was an orphan, and at first she envied others for having parents. Although this envy faded as she grew up, she still hoped to have a family deep down.

Good or bad, there is always someone to share with; sour or sweet, we are all together as a family!

"I, I'll go with the girl!" The man who had been taking care of his mother stood up awkwardly.

Ye Nuan nodded, took the kettle that was previously emptied and left.

The young man supported his mother and moved towards Su's side. Remembering that there were wild beasts in the wilderness, he picked up a big stone and followed Ye Nuan out. The others also began to pick up dead grass and branches around them.

The sun gradually set, its orange light illuminating the entire wasteland with a magnificent and majestic beauty. Someone was walking behind her, carrying a stone. Ye Nuan's nerves were on edge, and after a while, she couldn't help but turn around and look at the person behind her.

The man met her dark eyes and took two steps back awkwardly, stammering, "Miss?"

The man had a dark complexion, rough features, and a pair of eyes that were honest but a little dull.

Seeing him getting uneasy, Ye Nuan lowered her voice and said, "How about you walk in front of me? Or beside me?" Otherwise, she'd be worried he'd pick up a rock and throw it at her. It wasn't surprising she was so petty; she'd done this before, and even the sight of the rock frightened her.

Her voice was as clear as sweet spring water. The man's dark face turned red and he stammered, "Miss, my name is Feng Dazhu." For some reason, he just wanted to tell her his name.

Ye Nuan readily agreed: "Brother Feng, please go to the side."

Feng Dazhu walked to her left, holding the stone, and the two continued walking side by side. Ye Nuan's nerves finally relaxed, and she rolled her eyes around.

The surroundings were still covered with withered grass, occasionally dotted with low shrubs. Red rocks piled up into slopes, partially obscuring the view. Looking out, a faint hint of yellow-green shimmered through a crack in the red rocks in the southeast corner.

If you're lucky, you might find water there.

Ye Nuan walked towards the southeast corner, Feng Dazhu following closely behind. The dry grass swayed and tugged at their trouser legs. After walking for a while, some tender green grass appeared among the yellow-green grass. She quickened her pace and searched back and forth along the cracks in the rocks, but found nothing except dry puddles.

There must have been water here before, but it dried up later.

Ye Nuan was standing beside the puddle feeling a little disappointed when she heard Feng Dazhu, who had been following her, scream "Ah!"

There was a loud crash of gravel rolling down, and Ye Nuan was shocked. Could it be that he encountered some wild beast?
