Chapter 111 Caught Red-Handed

"Jiao'er, where are you? Who bullied you?"

As soon as Yang went upstairs, she looked around anxiously.

Upon hearing his stepmother's voice, Wei Mingzhou was so frightened that he slid off Jiang Jiaojiao.

Just then, someone outside called Jiang Jiaojiao again, and Wei Mingzhou didn't care about Jiang Jiaojiao's disheveled clothes on the small couch.

He hurriedly pulled up his underpants and then haphazardly adjusted his belt.

Wei Mingzhou panicked and became flustered; the more anxious he became, the less his hands obeyed his commands.

Jiang Jiaojiao was still immersed in sweet romance a moment ago, and she didn't hear clearly what Madam Wei and Madam Du next door were saying.

Suddenly hearing her mother calling her from outside startled her so much that her head went blank and her face turned ashen.

She tried to sit up and straighten her clothes, but the slightest movement caused her body to ache unbearably, as if she had been run over by a car wheel.

He couldn't help but let out a muffled groan.

Yang noticed that several maids and servants were waiting outside the private room on the second floor, all staring at the room from which the muffled groan had come, their expressions strange.

She quickly went up to an older maid and asked, "Who's inside? Did you see anyone bullying my darling?"

The maid looked troubled, pointed to the private room where Jiang Jiaojiao and Wei Mingzhou were having their secret rendezvous, and stammered, "It sounded like there was a fight going on in this room just now. Madam, why don't you knock on the door and ask?"

When Madam Yang heard that her daughter had been beaten, she came over before Jiang Zhengming even left the house.

After hearing the servant's words, she became even more certain that the muffled groan she had just heard came from her daughter.

Enraged, she was no longer in the mood to knock politely. She took two steps back and then kicked the door hard.

The door to the private room in the teahouse was not sturdy to begin with, and it was kicked open with a "bang".

"ah!"

"Jiao, Jiao'er!"

This kick had a significant impact; the scene inside the room almost made Yang faint.

Jiang Jiaojiao looked flustered and raised her hands to cover her face. Her hairpins were askew, her clothes were disheveled, and the room was filled with a seductive atmosphere.

The man next to him had beads of sweat on his forehead and his clothes were also disheveled.

Yang recognized the man as Wei Mingzhou at a glance.

"You, all of you."

By the time Madam Yang came to her senses, it was too late to close the door.

To prevent Madam Wei from having a chance to argue, Madam Du heard the door being kicked open and came out from next door to block the doorway.

"Madam Wei, come quickly and see which girl your Third Son is getting along with."

"Oh! Isn't this Minister Jiang's stepmother? Is the girl who's having an affair with Third Master Wei yours?" Madam Du asked, feigning surprise, completely ignoring the disheveled state of the men and women in the room.

Yang, who had been singled out by Madam Du, wished she could disappear into a hole in the ground.

Jiang Jiaojiao hadn't expected that after stringing Wei Mingzhou along for so many days, she would impulsively agree to his advances today, only to be caught red-handed.

"Congratulations, Madam Wei, your son's marriage has been arranged."

"You unfilial son! Get out of here now!"

Madam Wei was furious.

Wei Mingzhou couldn't wait to disappear. He didn't even glance at Jiang Jiaojiao before rushing out the door.

"No! The Prime Minister's wife cannot bully others by abusing her power. Your third son bullied my beloved daughter, and you won't give my daughter an explanation for this?" Madam Yang rushed over and blocked Wei Mingzhou inside.

Since she had already lost all face, what she needed now was a title, not a face. She was determined to get her daughter into the Prime Minister's residence.

With the Prime Minister's mansion protecting them in the future, no one will dare to gossip.

Madam Wei was furious that Jiang Jiaojiao had ruined the marriage between the Wei and Du families.

She pointed at Jiang Jiaojiao, who was crying and covering her face in fright, and roared, "What kind of explanation do you expect from such a frivolous woman? Do you think any woman can just walk through the gates of my Prime Minister's residence?"

If she weren't afraid of losing her status as a noblewoman, she would have cursed Jiang Jiaojiao as a whore.

Madam Yang was surprised that Madam Wei wanted to renege on her promise, and she no longer cared about offending the Prime Minister's Mansion.

She grabbed Wei Mingzhou, her eyes bloodshot. "Third Young Master Wei, a real man should be responsible for his actions. You and Jiao'er are in love, how can you bear to let Jiao'er suffer?"

"This matter... I... I don't have the final say!" Wei Mingzhou glanced guiltily at Madam Wei, then quickly lowered his head, like a criminal awaiting execution.

In the private room next door, Madam Wu raised her eyebrows and shrugged, and her two maids gave her a thumbs up.

Madam is wise; it turns out that oaths are really just like farts.

In the past, Wei Mingzhou would secretly go to brothels with his cronies. His stepmother treated him well; the year he tied his hair up, she sent a pretty maid to serve him in his room.

He was never mistreated in terms of money; he received the same allowance as the other young masters in the manor.

Upon hearing Wei Mingzhou's irresponsible words, Jiang Jiaojiao's shoulders trembled even more violently.

He swore a solemn oath just a moment ago, but after taking her body, he became so heartless. If Wei Mingzhou doesn't give her a promise, how can she have the face to live on?

"Mother, I have misplaced my affections. I am an unfilial daughter."

Amid the argument, Jiang Jiaojiao cried out and lunged toward the window.

"My darling!"

"Second Miss".

Just as Jiang Jiaojiao lifted one leg, Yang rushed over and hugged her around the waist.

“My dear, don’t do anything foolish. I demand an explanation from him, or I’ll go to the Prime Minister’s mansion and pretend to be dead.”

Yang said these words to Madam Wei. No matter how powerful the Prime Minister's mansion was, they didn't want anyone to die at the gate.

"Mother, sob sob, he lied to his daughter."

Jiang Jiaojiao never really wanted to commit suicide. She went along with it and turned around to hug Yang Shi, crying loudly.

When Wei Mingzhou heard Jiang Jiaojiao say that he had lied to her, he was very unhappy. His lips moved slightly, but he swallowed back his words of defense.

Just then, Caiyan and Aji ran up, having heard the commotion.

When Caiyan saw that her mistress was about to jump out of the window, she rushed over immediately.

In her panic, Caiyan bumped into a maid at the door and stumbled, crashing into the door of the adjacent private room.

The door latch was knocked loose, and by sheer bad luck, the door to the next private room opened by itself.

Madam Wei and Madam Du, who had already retreated to the doorway, looked up and saw Madam Wu with an embarrassed expression.

"Excuse me, I just took a nap in the private room."

Mrs. Du: "..." I don't believe you for a second!

Madam Wei: "..." You'd better be asleep.

Such a commotion should have been heard even by those who were asleep; the Grand Commandant's wife is pretending to be ignorant.

"You all go ahead with your work, I'll take my leave first." Madam Wu forced a nonchalant smile, trying to slip away from this troublesome place as quickly as possible.

I didn't check the almanac before going out today, how embarrassing!

"Please wait, Madam Grand Commandant."

Just as Madam Wu was about to slip away, Madam Yang whispered something in Jiang Jiaojiao's ear and rushed out to stop Madam Wu.

Seeing that everyone was gathered in the hall, Caiyan quickly closed the door to the private room as soon as Madam Yang left.

Mrs. Wu pretended not to hear and continued walking towards the stairwell.

At this moment, a group of men, led by Jiang Zhengming, walked towards them.

Mrs. Wu: "..." Well, I didn't hear anything.
