Chapter 164 What a huge mushroom!

Sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves, casting shadows on the ground like a layer of golden gauze.

The trampled dry branches made a "crackling" sound, and the birds in the tree were startled and flapped their wings and flew away.

Golden leaves occasionally drifted down from the branches.

After walking through a gently sloping grove of trees, Gao Mu stopped and turned back to ask, "Miss, the path ahead leads to Shangyan Huishan. Shall we continue forward?"

The trees were so lush that Jiang Shuyue couldn't see the mountaintop even when she looked up.

This grove of trees is a place the Zhang family father and son often come to, so the sudden appearance of a group of rabbits is really too abrupt.

She looked at the winding mountain path and said, "It's still early, let's walk a little further."

Sui Sui followed closely behind Jiang Shuyue like a little tail.

After walking for about 15 minutes, I saw clusters of wildflowers blooming on both sides of the mountain road.

Qiuju held Suisui's hand with one hand and used a twig in the other to poke around in the grass.

Lan'er and Mei'er were attracted by the beautiful scenery on the mountain. After admiring it for a while, they began to imitate Qiu Ju and search for mushrooms in the grass.

Cangyun casually picked a fiery red maple leaf and played with it in his hand, his eyes warily observing the movements around him.

When he was a bodyguard, the bodyguard camp was located at the foot of the mountain, and he knew better than anyone which season mushrooms were in season.

Seeing how excited Lan'er and Mei'er were, he really couldn't bring himself to dampen their spirits by saying that there was nothing left to eat this season.

After searching for a while without finding anything, just as everyone was about to give up, Sui Sui shouted, "Mommy, there's a big mushroom here!"

"Miss, come quick! Is this brownish-red mushroom poisonous?" Qiuju saw Suisui reaching out to pick it and pulled her back.

Jiang Shuyue was thinking about how to get Gao Mu away from the front. She was looking for a suitable place to take out some of the rabbit meat when she heard Qiuju and Suisui shouting.

"Gao Mu, go and see if there are any pheasants around. If there are, catch a couple and take them back. You can also pick some wild chestnuts if you see them."

"Miss, don't go too far. I'll be back in a bit."

Before Gao Mu could finish speaking, his figure vanished from the spot in a flash.

Jiang Shuyue turned around and saw Suisui waving at her, "Mommy, come quick, there's a huge mushroom!"

Jiang Shuyue walked over with some skepticism, only to see a lingzhi mushroom the size of a bowl peeking out from the grass.

Jiang Shuyue carefully brushed aside the withered branches and fallen leaves around her.

"This is Ganoderma lucidum, not mushroom."

"Is it the Ganoderma lucidum that nourishes the heart, calms the mind, and replenishes qi and blood?"

Sui Sui had only memorized pharmacology; he had never seen the entire appearance of Ganoderma lucidum. Upon seeing the fresh Ganoderma lucidum for the first time, the little guy crouched down and approached it closely.

"Yes, grinding Ganoderma lucidum into powder and taking it with water can enhance immunity. The powdery substance on top is Ganoderma lucidum spores, which can replenish qi and calm the mind, strengthen the spleen and benefit the lungs. It is particularly effective in treating weakness, insomnia and dreaminess, and can also treat cough and asthma."

Jiang Shuyue patiently explained the effects of Ganoderma lucidum to her son.

"Such a large Ganoderma lucidum must have extraordinary medicinal effects. If it were sold in a clinic, it could fetch several hundred taels of silver." Qiu Ju exclaimed, her eyes shining, as she made a rough estimate in her mind.

Lan'er and Mei'er were also seeing Lingzhi for the first time, and they were both amazed.

"Our young master is so lucky, this servant didn't even see a single mushroom."

"That's right, that's right, I only picked a bunch of wildflowers." Mei'er took the wildflowers out of the bamboo basket and was about to put them into the lingzhi mushroom.

Jiang Shuyue took out her handkerchief, reached out to Qiuju, and said, "The Ganoderma lucidum is too big, give me your handkerchief."

It took two handkerchiefs to barely cover it.

"Mother, look, there are a few small Ganoderma lucidum mushrooms in the grass."

Sui Sui thought her mother hadn't seen it and excitedly shouted.

"It's too small, let's keep it and nurture it a little longer." Jiang Shuyue used her hand to move the grass back to its original state, and with a thought, she put the little Ganoderma into her space.

Neither Sui Sui nor Qiu Ju, who were closest to her, saw it; the Ganoderma lucidum in the grass had vanished on the spot.

"Yes, let's raise them a little longer and pick them when they're bigger. Mom, let's look around some more; maybe there are other herbs." Sui Sui nodded obediently.

Jiang Shuyue handed the bamboo basket containing the Ganoderma lucidum to Qiuju, took Suisui's little hand, and instructed everyone: "To avoid causing unnecessary trouble, don't tell anyone about this."

Cangyun was the first to answer: "Yes, don't make a fuss about this."

Yesterday, a bluefish jumped near the young master, and today he found a lingzhi mushroom. Cangyun felt that his young master was no ordinary person.

If too many people find out, the young master will become a target for bad people.

While Qiuju and the others were picking wild chestnuts, Jiang Shuyue led Suisui and continued walking forward.

After turning past a large protruding rock, you'll see a cave in the mountainside.

There were many withered branches in front of the cave, and there were traces of smoke at the cave entrance.

Jiang Shuyue concluded that people must come here to rest from time to time.

She looked around but didn't see Gao Mu.

The faint sounds of Qiuju and Lan'er's laughter could be heard behind me.

On a sudden inspiration, she pulled Sui Sui towards the cave, and with a thought, several rabbits appeared out of thin air behind her.

Suddenly, a rustling sound behind her made Sui Sui turn around.

Several snow-white rabbits were seen munching on grass with their heads down.

Sui Sui was so happy that she danced around, "Mommy, look! There are such white rabbits here!"

Jiang Shuyue turned around casually, then exclaimed in surprise, "It really is! Son, quickly call Aunt Qiuju and Cangyun over, your mother can't catch them!"

Perhaps the mother and child's words startled the rabbit, which was munching on grass. The rabbit looked up, saw someone, and turned to hide in the cave.

The cave wasn't far from Qiuju and the others, and Sui Sui walked back to the big rock.

Then he saw Qiuju and the others walking towards him.
