Chapter 301 seems to be late.

The servants embellished the story, imitating it so well that, coupled with their comical actions, it was truly hilarious.

Du Yutong covered her mouth with a handkerchief, lowered her head, and laughed so hard that her hairpins trembled.

Nangong Zeyue covered Sui Sui's ears with both hands, looking as if it was something a child shouldn't hear.

Jiang Shuyue struggled to suppress her laughter. She patted Du Yutong on the shoulder and said, "You two chat, I'll go and have someone send some food to Qiuju."

She didn't believe the servant's overheard story; it wasn't even dark yet, and Qiuju and Gaomu certainly wouldn't be asleep so early.

Just as Du Yutong was about to say that she would go along, Su Jin said, "Miss Du, the plum blossoms in the garden are in full bloom. They may have withered by the next time we come. Shall we go and take a look together?"

Jiang Shuyue smiled faintly, gave Su Jin an encouraging look, and said with a double meaning, "Gather ye rosebuds while ye may, for time is still too late. The plum blossoms are in full bloom, so go ahead."

Jiang Shuyue left, and Du Yutong and Su Jin also got up and left their seats.

Nangong Zeyue also lost interest in continuing to drink.

Seeing that Sui Sui was still eating skewers, he said to Su Nan, "Let Sui Sui have a bowl of vegetable porridge later and then take him to the warm room."

The skewer of grilled meat that Sui Sui ate didn't have much chili powder on it, so it would probably be better paired with a bowl of vegetable porridge.

"Brother Nangong, you go ahead. I'll keep watch over things here."

Sui Sui isn't a picky eater, and Jiang Shuyue never forces her child to eat foods he doesn't like.

Su Nan spent a lot of time having meals with Sui Sui.

Only the two of them remained at the table. Su Nan served Sui Sui half a bowl of vegetable porridge and said, "Sweetie, drink your porridge and let's go see if the little white rabbit in the backyard has had its babies yet."

"Second Uncle, we haven't been home in a long time. Could they have already turned the rabbit into kebabs?"

Su Nan shook her head: "No, that won't happen."

A moment later, the masters left the hall one after another, and Gao Mu walked out amidst the laughter and chatter of the crowd.

"Brother Gao, why did you come out so quickly? Isn't that a bit too fast?"

"Hahahahaha..."

Amidst the servant's teasing, Gao Mu walked to Cang Yun's side.

After taking their seats, Cangyun raised his glass: "Congratulations. We are where we are today because of Miss. Among all the secret guards, we are the luckiest."

Gao Mu also raised his glass and said, "Thank you."

He then sighed and said, "Who says it isn't true? A bodyguard must never have a weakness in his life. Only after following Miss did I realize how happy ordinary days can be."

Cangyun pulled Gao Mu to drink a few cups. Seeing that his masters had all returned to the courtyard, Gao Mu, preoccupied with the bride in the bridal chamber, hurriedly drank a bowl of vegetable porridge and went back to the bridal chamber.

In the warm pavilion, Nangong Zeyue brewed the first pot of tea and placed it in front of Jiang Shuyue.

"Moon Lady, please have a taste. It's been so long since I've brewed tea, my skills have become rusty."

"I haven't had the leisure to brew tea for a long time. Fortunately, Su Jin and Su Nan are taking care of Sui Sui, and they have helped me a lot."

Jiang Shuyue stretched out her slender white fingers, picked up the teacup, and looked at it. The tea soup was clear, and when she brought it close to her face, she could smell a faint, mellow aroma.

"Good tea."

Nangong Zeyue chuckled, "I'm using the same tea that Yueniang usually drinks."

Jiang Shuyue took a sip with a puzzled look. The taste was lingering and somewhat different from the tea that Qiu Ju usually brewed.

No wonder some people specialize in the art of tea; the same tea can be brewed to produce different flavors.

Nangong Zeyue poured herself a glass as well.

He looked at Jiang Shuyue with warm eyes, "When it comes to good tea, it has to be the tea trees on Black Dragon Pool Mountain."

“Every year around Qingming Festival, my fellow students would take me to the back mountain to pick tea. My master would personally fry the tea, and the taste of that tea was even more mellow than that of tribute tea.”

"Master said that the tea trees on the back mountain grow well because of the bottomless pool."

"Is the name Black Dragon Pool derived from that pool of water?" Jiang Shuyue couldn't help but ask curiously.

The word "dragon" was considered a major taboo in that era, and it was generally not used in place names in the common people's homes.

"That's right, it's because of that deep pool."

Nangong Zeyue took a sip of tea and continued, "Legend has it that a monk once lived on Black Dragon Pool Mountain. One dark and windy night, a fierce storm raged on the mountain, accompanied by thunder and rain. Seeing the strong wind, the monk quickly broke down the door and entered..."

He used his body to block the temple door. A clap of thunder sounded, and lightning illuminated the night sky. Through the crack in the door, the monk saw a black dragon circling above the temple before heading straight towards the back mountain.

As the black dragon descended, the thunder ceased, and the wind and rain stopped.

Jiang Shuyue met his clear gaze and listened quietly as Nangong Zeyue told the story of Black Dragon Pool.

"And then what? Has anyone else seen that black dragon?"

Nangong Zeyue shook her head. "No one has ever seen it. Legend has it that the monk went to the back mountain the next day and saw a bottomless pool of water appear out of nowhere in the open space. He was so frightened that he left and never went back."

Jiang Shuyue asked, "Do you believe that legend is true?"

Nangong Zeyue picked up the teapot and poured hot tea into the teacup in front of Jiang Shuyue.

He said mysteriously, "I believe it to be true. Next spring, Moon Maiden, why don't you come with me to the mountain to take a look?"

“Okay, I want to go to more than just Black Dragon Pool. When Sui Sui is a little older, I want to travel to every corner of Wanling Kingdom.”

Looking at her beautiful profile illuminated by the soft light, her shimmering eyes sparkled like the brightest star in the vast night sky, captivating all who looked at her.

"So it turns out that Yue Niang likes to wander the world. Very good. I have traveled almost all over Wanling. From now on, let's travel together."

The two chatted about everything from the landscapes to the local customs and traditions.

Before we knew it, night had fallen.

In the hall, everyone was full and happy, each holding a reward in their hand, grinning from ear to ear.

The servants had all drunk a few more cups, and Mei'er instructed everyone to clean up and go back to their rooms to rest.

Su Jin asked Lan'er to deliver a message to Jiang Shuyue, and then left with Su Nan and Sui Sui, along with Du Yutong and her servant.

Cangyun's vigilance was a habit he had developed over many years, and he didn't drink much tonight.

He went back to his room, retrieved his sword, and patrolled the courtyard.

The gatekeeper had just returned to the gatehouse when he heard someone knocking on the door.

"who?"

"From the palace."

The servant was startled.

Good heavens! Could it be that little princess is here again?

The servant hurriedly opened the main gate, but before he could even see the person in front of him clearly, a bright yellow figure flashed before his eyes, and the person had already entered the hanging flower gate.

"Your Majesty, I pay my respects to Your Majesty!" The servant hurriedly knelt to greet him.

Seeing the large red lanterns hanging in front of the gate and the festive atmosphere inside, Xiang Song thought to himself, "Oh no."

Looking up at the enveloping night, Xiang Song's heart skipped a beat.

Oh no! When did Miss Jiang quietly get married? By now, the groom has already finished all his business.

It's too late to drag the groom out of the bridal chamber now.

Seeing his master disappear before his eyes, Xiang Song darted off and chased after him.

Xiangyang looked at the servant with a bewildered expression, "Is there some good news in your household?"

"Hmm, sir, are you here for a drink? It seems you're late." The servant said, letting out a burp.

"What the hell? Someone's going to die!" Xiang Yang stamped his foot and ran quickly towards the inner courtyard.
