Xue'er raised her front paws and tried to grab Jiang Shuyue's hand.
Qiuju laughed and said, "Miss, look, it doesn't want you to leave. This little guy is almost a spirit."
Jiang Shuyue gently tapped Xue'er's wet nose, "What a clingy little devil."
The master and servant left the inner room; the morning air was still quite chilly.
Qiuju helped Jiang Shuyue fasten the cloak she was holding.
"I don't know if the carriages in the palace are equipped with stoves or thermoses. Miss, you can take them off when you feel hot after you get into the carriage."
Watching Qiu Ju ramble on, Jiang Shuyue stared at the faint red spots on her neck and smiled:
"Don't worry about me. You got up too early this morning. You can take Gao Mu's carriage and go back to sleep in the carriage later."
“This servant is not sleepy.”
Jiang Shuyue smiled mischievously and reached out to straighten the collar of Qiuju's cotton-padded jacket.
"Even if your daughter has never eaten pork, she knows that pigs can run. You two didn't sleep well last night because you were trying to make a baby, did you?"
"Miss is making fun of me again."
Qiu Ju blushed and looked around, seeing that there was no one else around.
He whispered, "Miss has eaten pork before, have you forgotten?"
Jiang Shuyue was stunned for a moment before she came to her senses. "You, you've been corrupted by Gao Mu."
Qiu Ju ran out laughing, and Jiang Shuyue chased after her, laughing as well.
The master and servant stopped their playful antics once they reached the entrance of the Jiang residence.
The luxurious and spacious carriage from the palace stopped in front of Gao Mu's carriage.
Jiang Shuyue waved to Qiu Ju, signaling her to go to the carriage at the back.
She walked towards the luxurious carriage in the palace on her own.
When the coachman saw Jiang Shuyue approaching, he immediately bowed respectfully and stood beside the dismounting stool.
Jiang Shuyue glanced at him; the coachman didn't look like a eunuch, but more like a guard.
She stepped onto the horse-mounting stool, lifted the carriage curtain, and froze halfway inside.
