Du Yutong asked, puzzled, "Why are you running?"
"The birds are all startled; there must be a large wild animal lurking nearby." Jiang Shuyue said, pulling Du Yutong along and running back.
Du Yutong is a true heiress; upon hearing about the large wild beast, her legs went weak with fear.
Although Pearl was timid, she tried her best to overcome her fear when it came to life-threatening situations.
Seeing Du Yutong with half her body hanging on Jiang Shuyue's shoulder, she pulled her young mistress's arm around her neck and said anxiously, "Miss, run! Escaping is the most important thing."
"My legs, my legs won't obey me!" Du Yutong was weak and powerless, unable to calm down, her heart pounding in her throat.
Qiuju had an experience of hiding from poisonous snakes in the mountains.
Compared to Du Yutong and Zhu'er, she was much calmer and bolder.
Seeing that Miss and Pearl were helping Du Yutong retreat too slowly, she took out a shovel from her basket and held it in her hand.
"Miss, you all run! I'll cover your retreat!"
As soon as Qiu Ju turned around, Jiang Shuyue snatched the shovel from her hand.
"You and Zhu'er carry her and run fast, I'll cover the rear."
The tone left no room for argument.
"Miss!"
"Don't speak, hurry!"
Qiu Ju gritted her teeth, dropped her basket, and took Du Yutong's other arm.
Terrified, Du Yutong nearly fainted.
"Miss, think about Young Master Su. He hasn't even had a chance to propose marriage yet."
At this moment, Pearl couldn't find any other words to encourage her mistress.
"Su Jin, yes, I can't die." Du Yutong's voice was trembling with tears. She took a deep breath, mustered her strength, and tried to run forward.
Zhu'er and Qiuju were in better physical condition than her. After her legs recovered, with two people pulling her along, she ran much faster.
As Qiuju ran, she kept looking back and saw her young mistress following closely behind.
She desperately wanted to shout for help towards the pine forest, but she was afraid of startling the wild animals nearby.
While everyone was fleeing for their lives, Jiang Shuyue had a sudden thought, and a bag of sleeping pills appeared in her hand.
This is her homemade five-step drink.
If a person inhales this "five-step poison," they really won't be able to take six steps.
She wasn't sure if the wild beasts lurking in the dense forest behind her were tigers or some other large animals.

The fallen leaves and twigs on the ground made a "crunching" sound when stepped on.

The path was getting wider and wider.
"ah!"
Du Yutong was exhausted and tripped over a stone.
"Miss, please hold on a little longer." Pearl was sweating with anxiety.
"No, I can't go on anymore, I really can't run anymore." Du Yutong gasped for breath and simply sat down on the ground.
Qiuju nervously glanced back. "Miss Du, come on, I'll carry you. We'll never abandon you no matter what."
Shh! Don't speak.
Jiang Shuyue focused her mind and calmed herself down. A rustling sound came from not far away.
The sound was getting closer and closer.
"Run!"
Qiu Ju squatted down, picked up Du Yutong without saying a word, and ran. Qiu Ju had no martial arts skills, so she couldn't run very fast.
Jiang Shuyue sensed a dangerous aura approaching. No, she had no choice but to hide in the spatial dimension.
She rushed up behind Qiuju.
She had just raised her sleeve and hadn't even had time to use her mind when several men in black descended from the sky.
"Don't panic, young lady."
Jiang Shuyue's hand froze in mid-air, "You..."
"Quickly escort them away."
Jiang Shuyue quickly realized that the aura emanating from these people was very similar to that of Gao Mu and Cang Yun, so they must be Xiao Jingzhao's secret guards.
Upon seeing the man in black, Du Yutong felt as if she had seen a savior.
"Miss Du, don't be afraid, we're safe now." Qiu Ju squatted down slightly, and Zhu'er quickly helped her young mistress to her feet.
"Miss, let me help you walk."
With a thought, Jiang Shuyue quietly put the sleeping potion back into her spatial storage.
"Miss, please move aside."
Several men in black stood expressionless, protecting Jiang Shuyue and her companions behind them.
"I... I need to catch my breath, I'm exhausted." Du Yutong's body swayed precariously as she stood.
Several men in black turned around in unison, their eyes warily fixed on the towering trees in the distance.
The shadows of the trees swayed.
Sudden.
"Whoosh whoosh!"
A whooshing sound of arrows piercing the air rang out, followed by a howl from some animal.
"Really, there really are tigers?" Du Yutong swallowed hard.
Jiang Shuyue stepped forward to help her tidy her messy hair. "I can't tell if it's a tiger or something else. We're safe now, let's go back."
Judging from the sound, the wild animal must have been hunted down.
It was a false alarm; it turned out that Xiao Jingzhao and his men were chasing wild beasts.
Jiang Shuyue breathed a sigh of relief and led the group back.
The guards escorted them to the outside of the palace before turning and leaving.
"What a bad day, I didn't even bring back half a basket of medicinal herbs." Qiu Ju dejectedly straightened her disheveled clothes.
Jiang Shuyue waved her hand, "It's good that everyone is back safe and sound. We'll go back and pack our things in a bit, and then head back to the city tomorrow."
When Zhu'er noticed that her young mistress's dress had a little dirt on it, she squatted down and dusted it off.
"Stop dusting. Go back inside and change into a dress. You were quite frightened. Go back and rest."
"Sister Yue'er, are you alright?"
