Chapter 6: The Worst Time

"Really?" Jiang Shuyue's eyes lit up.

"Really, she just sent me to deliver a message: steam four baskets of white flour buns and four baskets of coarse flour buns."

As she spoke, Aunt Wu began to knead the dough.

Jiang Shuyue quickly pulled her back: "Aunt Wu, go back quickly. We're not tired. The kitchen is warm. It won't hurt to stay a little longer."

Wu Ma stopped at the door: "The head housekeeper told you to lock the kitchen door when you leave and send the key to her room."

Jiang Shuyue suppressed her joy and nodded in agreement: "Understood."

Qiuju let out a wail: "That old hag is deliberately torturing Miss! How long will it take to make all these steamed buns!"

Jiang Shuyue quickly removed the hairpin and skillfully manipulated the lock cylinder.
