Chapter 75 Always Hurt

Qin Huan opened her eyes in a daze, and was shocked to find that she had fallen into Jiang Jingchu's arms without knowing when.

Jiang Jingchu's hands and feet were wrapped around him tightly like an octopus.

Qin Huan felt a surge of distress, and while Jiang Jingchu was still asleep, she quietly moved her hands and feet away.

As soon as he moved one foot, Jiang Jingchu's long eyelashes trembled, and he turned over and pressed Qin Huan tightly under him.

Qin Huan couldn't move, feeling secretly annoyed, but the doorbell outside kept ringing.

He had no choice but to poke Jiang Jingchu's cheek.

"Hey, hurry up and see if it's Han Xian knocking on the door."

Jiang Jingchu hummed "hmm" and did not move for a long time. He even rubbed his head against Qin Huan's shoulder.

Qin Huan sighed towards the ceiling.

"You're not going to get up, are you? Next time, knock on my door in the middle of the night. If you can open it, you win."

As soon as he finished speaking, Jiang Jingchu sat up dazedly, rubbing his fluffy black hair.

"Who's knocking at the door? It's so noisy."

As he walked towards the living room, Qin Huan rolled his eyes helplessly behind him.

Han Xian got up early in the morning and called both of them, but no one answered. He knocked on Jiang Jingchu's door, but no one opened it. He had no choice but to run to Qin Huan's door and continue knocking.

Just as I was wondering where these two people could go so early in the morning, Jiang Jingchu opened the door with a gloomy face.

"Is it necessary to be so early? Your father-in-law and the others may not be awake yet!"

When Han Xian saw Jiang Jingchu coming out of Qin Huan's room with sleepy eyes, a mischievous smile flashed in his eyes.

"Blam me, blame me, Brother Jing. I was not sensible today, but in an emergency, I'll take you home and treat you to a meal to make amends. Is that okay?"

Jiang Jingchu was not happy.

"Why, am I missing your meal?"

"Of course not."

Han Xian lowered his voice and said,

"Brother, I know that the only one missing from your Five Elements is a girl named Qin. From now on, I'll ask my Tiantian to say a few good words about you in front of others."

Jiang Jingchu sneered.

"I'll give it back to you, Tiantian. Whether she can be coaxed back or not is still a question."

After saying that, he closed the door, ruthlessly locking Han Xian in the corridor.

"Wait."

While the two were talking, Qin Huan had already washed up and changed her clothes.

She had a high ponytail, her fair cheeks were not made up, and she was wearing a simple and elegant white cotton skirt. Jiang Jingchu seemed to be in a trance and felt that he had returned to the day when he first met Qin Huan in Mingxi Mountain.

The corners of his mouth couldn't help but curl up, and he walked over to block Qin Huan, speaking in a lazy tone.

"Beautiful lady, tell me your fortune."

When Qin Huan heard his teasing, she thought of their first meeting.

A hint of tenderness flashed across his face.

“Not really.”

Jiang Jingchu picked his lips,

"Why?"

"Fortune-telling is based on fate and coincidence. You are not sincere, so it won't work for me."

After they finished speaking, they both laughed out loud at the same time. It turned out that after so many years, they still remembered the scene when they first met.

Qin Huan smiled until her eyes became tearful and she covered them with the back of her hand.

"Hurry up and go in and wash up. If you're any later, Han Xian will be really anxious."

As she spoke, she moved sideways and squeezed past Jiang Jingchu. Jiang Jingchu didn't respond. Instead, he grabbed her waist and lowered his head to kiss her hair deeply.

When the three of them drove to Zhou Tiantian's house, Zhou's father and mother were about to go out to buy groceries. Han Xian saw them and called out "Dad" and "Mom".

Father Zhou said nothing, and Mother Zhou sighed.

"Tiantian locked herself in her room as soon as she came back. She wouldn't say anything we asked her. You can go up and take a look."

Han Xian sighed and walked upstairs.

Qin Huan and Jiang Jingchu were waiting downstairs. After a while, they heard a heated argument coming from Zhou Tiantian's room, accompanied by the dull sound of objects hitting the ground.

Immediately afterwards, the door was suddenly pulled open forcefully, and footsteps were heard in the stairwell. Qin Huan subconsciously went over and saw Zhou Tiantian running downstairs with red eyes.

Han Xian followed closely behind and grabbed her hand.

"I told you, there's nothing between her and me, why don't you believe me?"

Zhou Tiantian's voice was broken and filled with tears.

"I saw it all with my own eyes. You were hugging her waist, and she was putting her mouth close to your face. If I had been a step later, who knows how far you would have gone!"

"Nothing will happen! I was just drunk and my reaction was slow!"

Zhou Tiantian pushed him away.

"Of course you're saying this now, Han Xian, things haven't happened yet. We haven't even gotten married yet, and you're still flirting with other women like this. Wouldn't it be even more outrageous after we get married?"

Han Xian explained again and again, but Zhou Tiantian didn't listen to a word and was furious.

"What do you mean? You don't want to marry me anymore?"

Zhou Tiantian was stunned for a second. She didn't mean that originally, but as the conversation went on, she lost her mind.

"Yes, I don't want to get married. You don't like to play. If you don't want to get married, you can play however you want. No one can control you!"

Seeing that the two were arguing more and more fiercely, Qin Huan walked over and stood between them.

"Tiantian, Han Xian. If you have anything to say, please calm down and talk slowly. Don't hurt any feelings."

Han Xian was very angry at the moment, and pointed his finger past Qin Huan and towards Zhou Tiantian.

"Oh, that's what you really think, right, Zhou Tiantian? Are you hooking up with that lousy director and deliberately looking for an excuse to mess with me?"

Zhou Tiantian couldn't believe that Han Xian would wrongly accuse her like this.

"You're talking nonsense! There's nothing going on between Director Guo and me. It's you who's always being paranoid and suspicious!"

"I'm paranoid? I'm suspicious?"

Han Xian was so angry that he threw the vase beside him to the ground with his backhand. With a loud "crash", the flowers were scattered all over the ground and the glass shards were broken into pieces.

Seeing this, Jiang Jingchu quickly walked over to pull Han Xian.

"Are you crazy? This is your father-in-law's house. If you want to lose your temper, you have to choose the right place!"

"What the hell does the occasion matter to me! My wife is about to run away with someone else!"

"What nonsense! This is nothing. You're just scaring yourself!"

"If there's a shadow, it's unbelievable. Have you forgotten that Qin Huan hooked up with the guy surnamed Wen in the same way?"

When they heard this, they were stunned at the same time.

Zhou Tiantian was the first to react, she jumped up and scolded him,

"Han Xian, are you fucking crazy? Who hooked up with who? You just say me, why bring Qin Huan up with you?"

Han Xian didn't realize that he had said the wrong thing yet. His eyes were red. He wanted to pull Qin Huan away, but he lost strength in his hands. Qin Huan lost her balance and fell down the stairs. Her palms were on the broken glass on the ground, and she groaned in pain.

"Qin Huan!"

Jiang Jingchu came to his senses, immediately let go of Han Xian, ran over to help Qin Huan up, and the pain on his face was beyond words.

"How are you? Are you okay?"

Qin Huan turned over her palm and saw several pieces of broken glass stuck in it. Blood was flowing down her palm, which looked shocking.

Jiang Jingchu's face immediately darkened. Zhou Tiantian saw Qin Huan injured and ran over to beat Han Xian.

"Are you sick? Why did you push Qin Huan?"

Han Xian raised his hand to block and explained,

"Why did you hit me? I didn't do it on purpose. It's just because you're mad at me."

"That's enough! Haven't you had enough?"

Jiang Jingchu took Qin Huan's hand and growled with his back to them.

"It's just a trivial matter that can be solved with just a few words. Why did you have to make such a big fuss? Do you think anyone can be so lucky to get married?"

Han Xian and Zhou Tiantian fell silent upon hearing this. Qin Huan also lowered her head, as if she was thinking of her and Jiang Jingchu. The air was eerily silent for a moment.

After a few seconds, Han Xian scratched his hair in frustration.

"Sister-in-law, I'm sorry. I didn't control my strength and my words. Just treat it as nonsense and don't take it to heart."

Zhou Tiantian walked over, her eyes swollen like walnuts.

"Huan'er, let's go to the hospital first. The injury on your hand needs to be treated quickly."

Qin Huan shook her head and sighed.

"Do you have a medicine box at home? You can just take care of it yourself at home. I'm afraid of going to the hospital these days."

This was the scene Zhou's father and mother saw when they came back from buying groceries. Zhou Tiantian and Han Xian were sitting on the sofa, and Jiang Jingchu was sitting opposite them with his head lowered, holding Qin Huan's hand, and concentrating on disinfecting her with a cotton swab.

"Hey, what's going on?"

No one spoke. Qin Huan looked up and replied,

"Uncle and aunt, I'm sorry, I accidentally broke the vase at home."

Mother Zhou cried out,

"Why are you sorry? Your hand is the real problem. Why don't you go to the hospital?"

"I was stabbed by glass. I just need to disinfect it."

Mother Zhou looked distressed.

"It just so happens that I bought a lot of vegetables with your uncle today. I'll stew a chicken for you later."

"No, we'll be leaving soon."

Jiang Jingchu threw the cotton swab into the trash can, spoke first, and pulled Qin Huan up to leave.

When he wasn't smiling, he looked very serious. Zhou's father and mother were a little scared and didn't dare to keep him any longer. They asked Han Xian and Zhou Tiantian to send him out together.

Before getting in the car, Jiang Jingchu glanced at Han Xian.

"Talk to the person nicely, don't be a fool."

Han Xian said "hmm".

"Brother Jing, I'm really sorry for you and sister-in-law today. Besides, we agreed to go to pay our respects to Grandma Qin together before we came here, but you suddenly had to leave first..."
