Chapter 2: The new store opened, the master became fierce
The business of changing careers began in full swing. Wen Ranqi had completely adapted to the identity of Wen Ranqi. A few days after he announced his career change, according to Wen's guidance, the procurement, decoration, production and supply of a series of preparations for selling milk tea were nearing completion.
Qiqi came to the kitchen, wearing an apron, hesitant with her hands. He had been holding back a lot of questions about Wen Ranqi's recent dissatisfaction. Wen Ranqi had just finished drinking the chicken soup when Qiqi stood in front of him, looking at her with pitiful eyes.
"Master, did I do something wrong? You haven't smiled much lately. If I did something wrong, could you tell me? I can change it. I don't want to see you angry."
Wen Ranqi knew he was a loyal and kind disciple. The fault lay not with him but with Wen Ranqi's inner self. "You're a good disciple, and I'm not a good master," Wen Ranqi sighed inwardly, his words harshly snarling, "Don't you know what you did wrong? Then tell me why you went to Hongxianglou? Why did you abandon the workers and come here to say such foolish things to me? You can't even clean the table properly, and you're scalding me to death when you pour a glass of water. How could there be a disciple as foolish as you?"
"But Master, you were always very satisfied before!"
"Heh, do you think my requirements are too high or do you feel that I have bullied you and you feel wronged? If you can't stay here, just leave as soon as possible. I can still accept another disciple."
Wen Ranqi's acting was quite convincing, and it really hit Qiqi hard. Qiqi bolted, remaining silent for the entire afternoon. After finishing the final work at the shop, she retreated to her room and never emerged again. Wen Ranqi ate dinner alone, too. She assumed Qiqi had finally given up and was slowly starting to think about leaving, so she smiled and went into bed.
Qiqi opened the door and sat in the backyard. The night covered his childish figure. He was already seventeen years old. He had been with Wen Ranqi for three years. He blamed himself in his heart.
"Qiqi, why are you arguing with him? He's your master, the one who's been a bit foul-mouthed lately but is the best to you. He saved you and raised you, how can you be angry with him? He must still be ill, don't take it seriously."
Qiqi thought back to when she first met Wen Ranqi, a young man who was three years older than her and looked equally young. She held his hand, and the warmth from his hand was even warmer than that of an adult.
He still remembered that his mother, covered in blood, held him in her arms and rushed to Wen Ranqi, a young man who looked even more fragile than him. He was walking alone in the overgrown wilderness, pulling a horse. His mother knelt down and said to him, "Young master, please save us, I beg you." Wen Ranqi looked embarrassed.
"You are from the Musen tribe, I can't save you." Wen Ranqi had just recovered from his experience, and he didn't want to be involved in the fight again.
"Sir, sir, this is my only child. He is my life. We have finally escaped here. Please save him. Let him live with you in hiding. No matter what you do to him, as long as you give him food and keep him alive, that will be enough."
Wen Ranqi looked at them with eyes full of compassion, "But he's too badly injured. I'm afraid there's nothing I can do."
"Young Master has recovered, hasn't he? I can see that Young Master must have a way to save him. I can't live anymore. I don't want him to live a successful life. I just want him to live a healthy life."
Wen Ranqi and his mother worked together to help him onto the horse. He leaned on Wen Ranqi's arms and finally saw his mother lying in a wasteland, with no one to collect her cold body.
He forgot a lot of things after waking up, but when he opened his eyes, he saw Wen Ranqi, that handsome face that was a little pale, with beads of sweat, a face covered in coal dust, holding a bowl of medicine, and looked a little tired.
Apart from his mother, the only thing that filled the void in his heart was Wen Ranqi.
"Qiqi, you're a good disciple." Wen Ranqi muttered in his sleep. This was also the first good sleep Wen Ranqi had in half a month, after traveling through modern time for a week. He not only dreamed of getting rid of his disciple, but also dreamed of Xiaoyu. "Xiaoyu, Daddy misses you." "Xiaoyu, where's your daddy? It's been a long time since anyone changed your cat litter. Did you feed you dried fish?"
"Meow, meow"
"Oh, baby, you must be starving."
"Meow, meow, meow, meow"
"How dare you leave me a note, my dear sister! I, your brother, am going on a free trip to broaden my horizons. You can keep an eye on Xiaoyu until I return triumphantly. Don't miss me, but remember to read my novels and give me likes."
"Haha, you asked me to give you a thumbs up for not taking me with you on this trip, huh. Xiaoyu, come here, you'll sleep with me from now on. Let's go back to my house, and we'll go read your dad's novel and give him a thumbs up."
"She saw it and took the cat away"
"Okay, thank you for your hard work."
"After being forced to change the ending, I wore a transmigration!" Fanfiction, Chapter 1, approved.
"Wow, the author wrote the fanfiction himself, it really shows that the government forces the people to be corrupt."
"Updated, updated, I thought you gave up"
“This is my first time reading a big-name fanfiction. I’m very curious and interested.”
………
Author's response:
"Thank you for your support. I saw a lot of people were looking forward to it in the comments, so I wrote a short post to share with everyone."
"Okay~"
“There’s food again.”
"Then CP is called dyed wood lacquer."
"That's a genius name, hahaha..."
Store opening
Big red firecrackers crackled, and a long line of regular customers lined up to show their support. They were all curious about Wen Ranqi's new tea.
"Boss Ran, your tea smells really good."
Wen Ranqi personally served tea to the guests, walking around the tables with a very happy look on his face. "Of course, I guarantee you'll want to come here every day after drinking it."
"Qiqi, please give me a bowl."
"Yes, grandma."
"Good boy, you've been having a hard time lately. Boss Ran doesn't seem to be treating you as well as before. Everyone feels sorry for you."
"Come on, grandma, let me help you sit down and drink."
"Hey, okay."
Qiqi helped the old lady sit down, and Wen Ranqi took the initiative to replace Qiqi's seat in front of the stone vat where she was sweating profusely. The old lady took Qiqi's hand and took the opportunity to whisper to him, "Qiqi, just obey your master and don't make him angry."
"Okay, got it."
Wen Ranqi waved the spoon and looked at Qiqi with a calm and imposing manner, "There's no more tea. Go and get another bucket out. Have you learned to be lazy?"
"I'll be right there," Qiqi replied, laughing at himself in his heart, "How dare I get angry? He wants to kill me, and my life belongs to him."
"The response has been good." Wen Ranqi smiled as he counted the small change and copper coins in the money box. He then turned to Qiqi with a stern face and said, "We should prepare three large buckets every day. With the special stone vats and flowing spring channels to automatically cool them down, we don't have to worry about spoiling. In the winter, when the temperature is low, we can boil and drink it as we go. There's no need to prepare it in advance."
"I'll get up and make tea tomorrow. Master, have a good rest. You've been tired all day. I'll prepare dinner for you."
"No, I just want to eat some chestnut cakes and drink some milk tea. I don't want to eat anymore."
"But…"
Wen Ranqi quickly finished the chestnut cake on the table, drank the milk tea, and threw a few copper coins on the table as if he didn't want to see Qiqi at all. "The wonton vendor hasn't closed yet, go have a bowl. Don't get up late tomorrow, remember."
"Yes, Master."
Wen Ranqi placed the money in the money box intact in the place that Qiqi was most familiar with. In fact, as long as Qiqi wanted to take the money, Wen Ranqi would not stop her. Instead, he wanted to see Qiqi resist him rather than obey him.
Because his goal was to keep this disciple away from him.
