Chapter 143 My life has been ruined by Ji Peiheng

Chapter 143 My life has been ruined by Ji Peiheng

Shi Yang was startled and recognized the person who had come.

Liang Jin stared intently at her, his covetousness no longer concealed.

Shi Yang pushed him away forcefully, creating distance between them: "Why is it you?"

Liang Jin tilted his head, admiring her flushed face and spring-like eyes: "So who do you hope it is? Ji Peiheng?"

The once shy and poised girl from her school days is now married and even more charming and alluring. Every time I look at her, she seems to be able to bewitch me: "It's a pity that the person you want to see today is destined not to come. Right now, only I am in front of you."

Shi Yang staggered forward, his legs weak and swaying precariously.

If she still doesn't understand why her body is changing, she'd be a fool.

The wine was tainted; the person behind it was the mastermind.

Her intuition was correct; someone was indeed watching her in the shadows. This wasn't the first time; Liang Jin had been keeping an eye on her for a long time, in many places.

Shi Yang bit her tongue, the pain keeping her conscious.

"You were the one who was following me all along, and you were the one who put the GPS tracker in my car."

She felt weak all over and walked while holding onto the wall.

She wasn't entirely unguarded with him. Several chance encounters with him gave her the illusion that her whereabouts were under his control, and that wherever she appeared, he would follow immediately.

It was as if he had installed a tracking device on her. The only time she ever came into contact with him was when he hit her car, and her car was towed away by his insurance company for repairs.

This morning, she had just driven her car to the 4S store for a check-up. An hour before arriving for her birthday party, she received a call from the 4S store informing her that they had found a miniature tracking device in her car.

It was him who put it there.

"Including those three letters, which you also sent to me."

Liang Jin readily admitted, "That's right, you figured it out so quickly."

He was like a hunter, watching the lambs to the slaughter struggle for their lives.

He enjoyed the prey's final struggle, especially since the prey was Ji Peiheng's woman.

This realization sent shivers down his spine.

We continued until we reached the end of the corridor.

There is no road.

Shi Yang turned around stiffly, staring at him warily: "Why? I have no grudge against you, why are you doing this to me?"

"No grudges or enmities?" Liang Jin laughed out loud: "Miss Shi really has a bad memory; she has actually forgotten me."

He approached step by step, while Shi Yang retreated step by step until his lower back hit the window frame, leaving him unable to move forward or backward.

Liang Jin plucked a strand of hair from her chest, held it to his nose, and sniffed it gently, saying with rapture, "It's alright, you don't remember me, but I'll keep you in my heart."

Shi Yang turned her head to avoid his breath, trying her best to remain calm: "Liang Jin, there are some things I have indeed forgotten. If there is any misunderstanding between us, you can tell me, and I am willing to make amends."

When hard tactics failed, Shi Yang tried a softer approach, attempting to appease him.

Unexpectedly, Liang Jin's face turned cold upon hearing this, and a heavy gloom flashed in his exposed left eye: "Misunderstanding? Shi Yang, you owe me more than you can repay."

He chuckled maliciously and lifted her chin with one hand: "If you say a few sweet words, I might go easy on you later."

Shi Yang tried desperately to recall, but she didn't remember ever seeing him before. Yet the hatred in his eyes was so clear, as if she had really done something to hurt him.

Liang Jin's patience ran out, and he grabbed her wrist and pulled her into the room next door.

Shi Yang struggled and cried out, "Don't touch me!"

"If you dare touch me, Ji Peiheng will not let you get away with it!"

The name Ji Peiheng ignited an engine like a spark, and Liang Jin exploded. The force with which he gripped her wrist felt like he wanted to crush her.

Shi Yang was slapped across the face, her waist slamming hard against the sharp window frame, the pain bringing tears to her eyes.

Liang Jin grabbed her hair, his face contorted with rage: "How dare you mention him? I'm in this state because of him!"

As he spoke, he brushed aside the hair on his forehead, revealing his right eye, which had been hidden, clearly to Shi Yang.

Shi Yang's pupils contracted, and he gasped.

It was a grayish-green eyeball, lifeless, with the whites of the eye even showing traces of yellowish, cheap plastic. It didn't move, just staring straight in one direction. Coupled with the ferocity of its other eye, it looked even more sinister and terrifying.

He actually had a prosthetic eyeball installed in his right eye!

It was a prosthetic eye!

Liang Jin took in her fear. He gradually tightened his grip, and Shi Yang felt a burning pain on her scalp as he pulled on it.

He pointed to his eyes: "You're scared? You're actually scared? What gives you the right to be scared? My life has already been ruined by Ji Peiheng, so why is he living such a successful life? If that's the case, then I'll destroy what he cherishes most!"

Seeing his frenzied and furious appearance, something clearly flashed through Shi Yang's mind.

She remembered something: Ji Peiheng had gotten into a fight in high school and blinded the other person in one eye, for which he was convicted for a year.

Whenever she tried to ask him about it, he would change the subject. She keenly sensed that he didn't want to bring up the topic, and she always felt that there was more to the story.

But he never managed to get close to Liang Jin. Ji Peiheng had also investigated him, and if they had a grudge against each other, it was impossible for him not to recognize him.

The effects of the medicine were becoming increasingly pronounced, her vision was becoming more and more blurred, and she no longer had the strength to think clearly about what was happening.

Liang Jin had completely lost his patience. He kissed her neck, and Shi Yang resisted forcefully. The more she resisted, the harder he hit her.

Shi Yang no longer cared about the pain. In her panic, she touched something cold and, without thinking, picked it up and smashed it down on the person in front of her.

With a crash, the vase shattered.

Liang Jin cried out in pain, staggering back a few steps. Blood flowed down his forehead, into his prosthetic eye, and then out again, turning it into a blood-red eye, making it even more horrifying.

Taking advantage of the situation, Shi Yang opened the door of a nearby room and slipped inside. Just as Liang Jin lunged at her, she slammed the door shut and locked it several times. She then ran into the bedroom and locked the door behind her as well. After that, she went into the bathroom and locked all the doors.

After doing all this, she lost all her strength and collapsed to the ground, feeling dizzy and weak.

She heard loud stomping on doors in the hallway; with each stomp, her heart skipped a beat.

Shi Yang shakily pulled out his phone and called Wen Wanwan.

Hearing the melodious tune on the phone, her heart turned ice-cold.

She could vaguely hear the singing and dancing downstairs, but Wen Wanwan didn't hear the phone ring at all.

Just as she was making the call, the door was suddenly flung open.

Her hand trembled, and the phone fell to the ground.

"Okay, thank you, cleaning lady. You know, my girlfriend is the same. She threw a tantrum and locked the door from the inside, making me worry about her all the time."

The cleaning lady comforted him, saying, "Young man, don't worry. As the saying goes, couples who quarrel in bed make up before they get out of bed. Just try to coax her a little..."

Liang Jin immediately noticed the closed bedroom door and asked, "Auntie, could you please open the bedroom door for me?"
