Chapter 68 So you've been planning this for a long time!
For several days in a row, Shi Yang did not see Ji Peiheng.
Lu Qingqing is going on a business trip soon and wants to call Shi Yang out to play before she leaves.
I called, and lo and behold, the person was sick again.
Without saying a word, she went to the door.
Push open the bedroom door.
"What happened? Why are you sick again?"
Shi Yang leaned listlessly against the headboard, speaking weakly: "I got caught in the rain a little."
Lu plopped down on the bed and asked inquisitively, "I heard that Ji Jinyu and Shi Yue's relationship is settled. You didn't get sick because of this, did you?"
What are you thinking about?
Shi Yang now feels disgusted whenever Ji Jinyu is mentioned.
"That's good." Lu patted her chest with a sigh of relief. "Otherwise, I really would have taken you to the hospital to see if Ji Jinyu had drugged you."
She then asked, "Where's Ji Peiheng? He didn't even show his face when you were sick? What's going on?"
Shi Yang lowered his head, his eyelids drooping.
Lu Qingqing immediately noticed the problem: "Did you two have a fight?"
Shi Yang remained silent.
"Could it be that you got sick because of him?"
Shi Yang nodded and then shook his head.
Lu Qingqing was speechless for a moment, then held her head to stop her from moving: "What exactly happened?"
Shi Yang had been holding it in for several days, and if she didn't find a way to express it soon, she would die of depression.
After listening to Lu Qingqing, she stroked her chin and pondered repeatedly: "So, after Ji Peiheng saw you and Ji Jinyu arguing, and heard you say 'I would never marry a complete stranger with whom I have no feelings,' he never came back."
"Um."
Lu gave a light, meaningful kiss: "So, was what you said in anger or was it your true feeling?"
She said sullenly, "It was just something I said in anger."
"So you mean you like Ji Peiheng?"
She didn't say anything, nor did she deny it.
Lu gently grinned and shook her head: "Still not admitting it, Shi Yang?"
Shi Yang pursed his lips, looked up and asked her a very serious question: "What does it feel like to like someone?"
Lu raised an eyebrow slightly and touched her head. "You have a fever again?"
Shi Yang brushed it away with disdain: "I'm asking you seriously."
Lu Qingqing said, "What did you feel when you liked Ji Jinyu? That's what liking someone is all about."
Shi Yang stopped talking.
She carefully recalled how she felt when she faced Ji Jinyu.
It felt very close, natural, and I was very happy.
Every time I see him, I feel a warm and joyful sense of kinship, like seeing the older brother next door.
Ji Peiheng is different.
The tension was accompanied by excitement, her heart would pound uncontrollably, her eyes would involuntarily turn to him, and she would blush and her heart would race at his words, her lips would curl into a smile.
She blinked slowly and deliberately.
So, is this what liking someone really means?
Lu Qingqing couldn't stand the silence and was about to call out to her.
"I admit it, I think I've fallen for Ji Peiheng."
The deer was slightly taken aback.
I didn't expect her to admit it so frankly.
"Then what are you still standing there for? Call him and tell him that yesterday's incident was a misunderstanding, that you and Ji Jinyu have nothing going on, and that you like him."
"oh oh……"
Shi Yang suddenly realized what was happening and took out her phone to dial the man's number.
The melodious ringtone of her phone rang, and her heart began to pound faster and harder.
She swallowed nervously.
My hands were sweating as I gripped my phone.
After a while, she bit her lip, her small face showing undisguised disappointment: "He didn't answer."
...
Meanwhile, someone's phone was flashing incessantly on the table, finally stopping and the screen going black.
Wen Huai'an sighed: "How many calls have you made already? You're really not going to answer?"
"What's so great about answering that?"
The man next to him snorted, grabbed a bottle of wine from the table, and started drinking heavily.
Xie Ran opened his mouth wide: "Brother, how much have you drunk? Drink less."
Wen Huai'an said helplessly, "Drinking won't solve the problem. Why don't you call your sister-in-law first? In case something important comes up."
Liquid trickled down the man's lips, seeping into his shirt collar and forming a small dark patch on his pale collarbone, the texture of his skin clearly visible through the thin fabric.
He pressed one finger to his temple, glancing at his phone out of the corner of his eye.
What important thing could it be? Talking about separating? Talking about divorce?
A hint of gloom flashed in his eyes when he thought about divorce.
Seeing him like this, Wen Huai'an was quite worried and snatched the bottle from his hand: "You've been drinking with us for days now, your body won't be able to take it."
Ji Peiheng opened a new bottle of wine on the table without blinking.
Xie Ran clicked his tongue: "Holy crap, this is the first time I've ever seen my brother so out of control."
Wen Huai'an said, "This is the second time I've seen it."
The last time he lost control like this was when he was abroad.
He and Wen Wanwan went to take care of him.
Looking back now, the last time he acted like this was right when Ji Jinyu and Shi Yang had just gotten engaged.
Wen Huai'an was almost certain that the two of them had probably had another argument.
Wen Huai'an said, "Since you've liked her for so long, why don't you tell her?"
One of the bar's many lights shone on the man's face. Disgusted by the glare, he raised his hand to shield his brow bone.
Upon hearing this, he lowered his hand, slightly raised his eyelids, and looked at Wen Huai'an.
Wen Huai'an shrugged: "You don't think you've kept it a secret, do you? The time you were drinking heavily abroad three years ago was because she and your brother were getting engaged. Otherwise, how could someone as proud as you agree to such an absurd marriage?"
At this point, Wen Huai'an couldn't help but joke, "So you've been planning this for a long time."
"Ah! Holy crap! Really? Second brother, you're so unfair! You kept this from us!" Xie Ran exclaimed in surprise, taking a few gulps of wine to make sure he hadn't misheard.
Ji Peiheng chuckled, covering his eyes with his hand to block the blinding light. A shadow fell across his face, and his voice carried an undercurrent of sarcasm: "Yes, you saw through me... but so what?"
She doesn't like him.
This is true.
He deliberately forgot this fact for more than half a year.
Until yesterday, when she uttered those words clearly and cruelly.
He remembered this fact again.
...
Lu Qingqing had just left when Shi Yang received Wen Huai'an's call.
She wasn't familiar with Ji Peiheng and his brothers, so she politely asked, "Hello, is there anything I can help you with?"
"Sister-in-law, my brother has had too much to drink. Could you come and pick him up? I'll send you the address."
As if afraid she would refuse, the person on the other end hung up the phone after speaking.
Shi Yang originally intended to talk to him and make things clear.
Put on your clothes and go out.
As soon as Wen Huai'an finished his phone call and opened the door, he heard someone calling him.
Looking up, he saw a stunningly beautiful mixed-race woman staring at him from a short distance down the corridor.
Wen Huai'an thought for a moment, then tentatively called out, "Miss Chu?"
Chu He walked over to him: "Wen Huai'an, right? What are you doing here?"
He met Chu He three years ago when he went to see Ji Peiheng. He could tell from that time that this senior had some feelings for Ji Peiheng.
"I'm here to have drinks with my friend."
"Is it with Ji Peiheng?"
In Chu He's memory, this man was Ji Peiheng's best friend.
