Chapter 106 The First Shot of the New Year
After one night, the city of Mo was covered in snow.
The sunlight reflected off the white snow, creating a dazzling display.
Shi Yang leaned against the window, watching in amazement.
It snows in the capital, but it's always a thin layer that melts away after you sleep at night. This was the first time she had ever seen someone so completely enveloped in white.
Silence, holiness.
After looking at it for a while, her eyes felt a little dizzy, so she looked away.
I got out of bed and poured myself a glass of water.
I accidentally spilled water on the table while drinking.
There was a paper bag on the table that had been soaked with water.
Shi Yang was afraid of getting the documents inside wet, so he took them out to check them.
The content above is clearly visible.
She was stunned.
The thin sheets of paper clearly recorded the identity information of everyone in the Shi family, including her.
Some guesses began to surface in my mind.
Lost in thought, Ji Peiheng came out of the bathroom and saw her open the paper bag, his brow furrowing.
Shi Yang looked up at him, appearing relatively calm: "Is this the real purpose of your business trip?"
Ji Peiheng walked towards her while drying his hair, intending to take it, but Shi Yang dodged him.
She then asked, "When will the results be available?"
Ji Peiheng said, "I will go to the hospital to pick up the results in a little while."
"I'll go with you."
Before Ji Peiheng could say anything more, Shi Yang interrupted, "Don't stop me. This has been bothering me for so many years, and I want to know the answer too."
Ji Peiheng patted her head: "I originally planned to tell you after I had a definite result, but I didn't expect you to come to me on your own."
Shi Yang tilted her head back and nuzzled against his chest, her voice muffled, "Thank you for doing so much for me."
"You're welcome, just love me a little more."
Ji Peiheng had someone buy him a full set of thick clothes in the morning.
Unlike yesterday, Shi Yang is dressed in thick clothes today.
Ji Peiheng said with a smile, "Like a mascot."
Shi Yang rolled her eyes at him.
...
Ji Peiheng had already made arrangements in advance, so the results were obtained directly without any complicated procedures.
When she finally got her hands on it, she hesitated and handed it to Ji Peiheng as if she were running away: "Take a look first, and then tell me."
She panicked and fled to the side of the stairs to wait.
Even though he was mentally prepared, Ji Peiheng still felt a dull ache in his heart when he saw the clear result.
He looked at the girl not far away who was both afraid and eager to know the outcome, and for the first time found it difficult to speak.
With every word she spoke, he could imagine her pained expression.
Having organized his thoughts, Ji Peiheng smiled and walked towards the girl on the steps.
Shi Yang took his hand before she could; the hospital was heated, but her hand was still ice-cold.
She looked up, smiled, and said, "Ji Peiheng, I want to go home. Let's go home for the New Year."
Ji Peiheng swallowed all his words, then reached back and squeezed his knuckles between hers, their fingers intertwining firmly: "Okay."
...
I took the last train of the day and returned to Beijing at 7 p.m.
Aunt Cui prepared a sumptuous dinner to welcome them back.
During the few days she was away, Aunt Cui decorated her home with a strong festive atmosphere.
Naifu hadn't seen her for several days. As soon as she entered the house, she jumped into her arms and meowed incessantly.
Shi Yang touched and kissed it; she missed the little thing too.
After playing with Naifu for a while, I went back to my room to prepare for bed.
Just as she lay down, Ji Peiheng pulled her up again: "You still have abrasions on your body, let's put some medicine on them first."
Shi Yang was so sleepy that she kept yawning: "I'm so sleepy, can we go to class tomorrow?"
"No, the medicine wasn't applied yesterday."
She leaned against him as if she had no bones, letting him apply the medicine to her.
Then I drifted off to sleep in a daze.
...
On New Year's Day, Shi Yang was awakened by a kiss.
She groggily opened her eyes and brushed the handsome face in front of her away: "What are you doing?"
He turned over and went back to sleep.
The man didn't stop, kissing from the back of the neck down the shoulder line and down the spine.
By the time Shi Yang realized something was wrong, it was too late.
Sobbing, yet tinged with gritted teeth, she said, "First thing in the morning, Ji Peiheng!"
After finishing, Ji Peiheng went to take a shower feeling refreshed.
Shi Yang lost her sleepiness and went to another bathroom to take a shower.
Even though the scrapes on her body had scabbed over, she still carefully avoided them.
While she was washing, Ji Peiheng came in.
She looked at him warily: "What are you doing here?"
“You’re injured, it’s inconvenient for you to wash yourself. Let me help you,” Ji Peiheng said righteously, his face serious.
Seeing his serious expression, Shi Yang agreed, since it wouldn't be convenient for her to wash herself.
However, his hands were restless, every time she pressed them down.
Ji Peiheng asked in an innocent tone, "What's wrong? Don't you need to wash that area?"
Shi Yang had no choice but to let go.
She sat in the bathtub, her whole body covered in shower gel.
With others attending to her, she closed her eyes comfortably.
There was a loud "whoosh".
Shi Yang stared blankly as the man, who had somehow gotten out of his clothes, entered the bathtub: "What are you doing?"
She was pulled over.
"It's no fun showering alone, let's shower together."
Shi Yang struggled to run out, but the shower gel on her body made her too slippery, and she fell back into the man's arms after several attempts.
Ji Peiheng grunted and bit her earlobe, saying, "Be gentle, baby. Who's going to pay for it if you break it?"
Waves of water crashed against the bathtub, splashing outwards with a crisp, pleasant sound.
Her fair, delicate legs dangled listlessly along the wall, swinging rhythmically.
Accompanied by Shi Yang's weary groan: "Ji Peiheng, you're a beast."
After all that fuss, most of the morning was gone.
In the past, I would sleep when I was tired, but soon I have to go to the old house.
She went to the dressing room with a tense expression.
Then I was shocked.
Her walk-in closet has been completely renovated, with all her dresses and accessories replaced, including several pieces that she had seen online for the New Year's haute couture.
The entire wardrobe is filled with brand new, limited-edition, and dazzling New Year's clothes.
Although she doesn't have a strong desire for designer clothes, it doesn't mean she doesn't like them.
Ji Peiheng followed him in and lazily asked, "Do you like it?"
Shi Yang's smile had just begun to bloom when she remembered what had just happened, and the smile vanished: "It was alright."
Ji Peiheng saw through it but didn't say anything.
Considering that he had prepared an entire walk-in closet full of New Year's clothes for himself, he generously said, "Help me pick out an outfit to wear today."
Ji Peiheng crossed his arms and looked over lazily, his gaze settling on a light blue cheongsam.
Shi Yang clicked his tongue: "Good taste."
She felt that Ji Peiheng seemed to particularly like her wearing cheongsams.
