Chapter 101 Love Can Be Cultivated

Chu Jiahe was amused by her appearance: "Mrs. Chu, shall we start checking up on you now?"

"No!" Gan Tang tilted her head and looked at him. "If you've never had a girlfriend, I always feel like I'm the one who tricked her into marriage."

Chu Jiahe chuckled and followed up on her words, "You want to postpone the engagement?"

"No!" Gan Tang shook her head hurriedly. "What if you really regret it?"

How could there be such a lovely girl? During a break from driving, Chu Jiahe quickly turned his head and stole a kiss.

Gan Tang patted his shoulder in dissatisfaction: "Tell me!" She wanted to start from now on to seriously understand the man in front of her, the man she was about to spend her life with, with all her heart.

"They definitely paid, but no one's payment lasted more than three months."

"Why?"

“At first I felt it was a waste of time, but later it was because… the day we met, you saw it, and I didn’t want others to know I had asthma.”

He has always been a perfectionist, not allowing himself to have any flaws, and even less allowing others to know them. And when people get to know each other for more than three months, they enter a stage of deeper understanding.

He didn't want others to understand his inner thoughts.

Gan Tang didn't understand: "Then why is it different for me alone?"

"I don't know either!"

Perhaps it was her unintentional intrusion into his secret that gave him a desire to share; perhaps it was her seemingly close yet actually distant attitude that gave him a sense of relaxation.

But perhaps, no reason is needed, all that's needed is her.

Chu Jiahe felt that there was a trace of sadness in her bright eyes today, which made him want to soothe her.

"Xintang, what's wrong with you today?"

"It's nothing!" Gan Tang's eyebrows curved into a smile, her eyes brimming with tears. "So, even if you regret marrying me later, I'll still be the only girlfriend you've had for more than three months, right?"

Chu Jiahe grasped the hand that was slightly retreating beside her and gently reminded her, "You belong to me for a lifetime."

"Glib-tongued."

When did he start acting inappropriately?

"Huh?" Gan Tang suddenly realized, "Chu Jiahe, is it because you think dating me is a waste of time that you're in such a hurry to marry me?"

"It seems so!"

"Chu Jiahe!" Gan Tang swung her fist and punched him.

The small space couldn't contain the laughter and chatter of the lovers. Gan Tang looked at the man beside her, growing more and more fond of him.

"Jiahe, open the skylight."

"It's windy."

"It's okay, open it." Gan Tang patted his shoulder gently.

"Okay!" Chu Jiahe slowed down the car and opened the sunroof.

A gentle breeze blew, and Gan Tang stood up, shouting to the vast, boundless earth, "Chu Jiahe, I love you!"

She looked at him and laughed, he looked at her and joked. The blue sky, white clouds, flowers, trees, and grass all responded to her.

See? Love can be cultivated.

...

When Gan Tang arrived at Qinglong Bay, it was already evening. She knew that Mo Huaixing wouldn't send her a WeChat message for no reason, so after getting out of the car, she took the food directly to Mo Huaixing's room.

At that moment, Mo Huaixing was walking around the room.

"What are you doing?" Gan Tang quickly put down the food and helped him sit on the bed.

"I'm fine, my leg isn't injured." Mo Huaixing awkwardly pushed Gan Tang's hand away and put a shirt over his previously bare upper body to cover himself.

Gan Tang felt a pang of sympathy seeing him frown, but knowing he was particular and stubborn, she didn't want to embarrass herself by arguing with him about whether or not to put on a shirt.

"Have you eaten?" Gan Tang asked.

"No." This time, he didn't lie. When the woman in front of him tried to get closer, he would restrain himself and step back, but when she really moved away from him, he couldn't help but want to get a little closer, within a safe range.

"You've been lying down all day, it's hard for you to digest. How about some porridge?" Gan Tang brought over a large bowl of bird's nest and lean pork porridge and fed him by hand.

The two sat facing each other, she slightly raised her hand, and he slightly lowered his head. There was an illusion of peaceful tranquility, an unreal and dreamlike feeling.

Soon, the bowl was empty. Gan Tang asked, "Are you still hungry?"

Mo Huaixing shook his head.

"Then have some of this." Gan Tang brought over a drink, inserted a straw, and fed it to him.

"What is this? It's so sweet!" Mo Huaixing frowned; he hated sweets the most.

"Rock sugar pear soup, it's good for your lungs. It's delicious!" Gan Tang shoved a straw into his disgusted mouth. "I had the chef make it especially for you, try it."

Looking into her bright, expectant eyes, he sipped it willingly, as if it really tasted good.

Gan Tang, holding her water glass, asked him, "Mo Huaixing, is there something you want to tell me?"

Mo Huaixing said mysteriously, "Good news!"

"What good news?"

Seeing her curious expression, Mo Huaixing suddenly didn't want to let her have her way. After all, she had gone out on a date and left him here all day.

"Wait until I finish drinking." He looked smug.

"Alright! This humble servant awaits Master Mo's rock sugar pear soup." Gan Tang bowed with a smile, holding the water cup with both hands, as obedient as could be.

Mo Huaixing took the water glass and dismissed him, saying, "You may leave."

They're getting cocky now!

"Mo Huaixing." Gan Tang slapped his leg with a look of disgust and warned, "That's enough."

Holding his water glass, Mo Huaixing began to get down to business: "Mr. Fu has agreed to let your adoptive parents go."

"Really?"

"Hmm! He had his elder brother personally escort them abroad, so it can't be wrong." This result overturned Mo Huaixing's understanding of his research over the past twenty years.

It seems he really loves this daughter.

Gan Tang, however, had other plans in mind and asked, "Can I see them?"

Mo Huaixing shook his head: "The less you care about them, the safer they are." No matter what the purpose, he cannot allow them to meet.

Gan Tang pouted: "Mo Huaixing..."

"No!" Mo Huaixing's refusal left no room for argument, and he added, "You should go see Mr. Fu!"

"Stop drinking!" Gan Tang angrily snatched the rock sugar pear drink from his hand. She had just started to find him cute, and he was already being annoying again.

However, we should listen to what he says.

Gan Tang spent a long time preparing in her room before finally mustering the courage to go find Lu Zhengqian.

By this time, the sun's rays were already gentle, shining on the water's surface, making it shimmer. He sat by the lake, leisurely fishing, with beautiful women accompanying him.

When Gan Tang arrived, she was truly startled. "Dad, who is she...?"

Lu Zhengqian waved for Susu to leave, and said sarcastically, "What brings the young mistress of the Chu Group to my humble abode?"

Gan Tang, who had been tense, couldn't help but chuckle upon hearing this. She hadn't expected someone so grown up to be jealous. She sat down, took his arm, and flattered him, "If I weren't your daughter, would he even know who I am?"

Lu Zhengqian tried to pull his hand away, but Gan Tang clung to him tightly, grinning shamelessly at him.

Lu Zhengqian snorted coldly: "No, I wouldn't dare to take credit. Even if I had a thousand more daughters, they wouldn't be as good as you."

“Of course others can’t do it.” Gan Tang said indignantly, “They’re not your biological children, so naturally they don’t have your mother’s beauty or your father’s skills.”
