Chapter 104 Inviting Guests Who Shouldn't Have Been Invited

The next morning, Gan Tang put on a white shirt and tied her hair in a casual bun, looking much younger and more energetic. Chu Jiahe stood at the door waiting for her, also wearing a white shirt, like pure, flawless white jade.

As far as I can remember, he had never worn a white shirt, while Mo Huaixing often wore white shirts.

Why think about him at a time like this!

Gan Tang patted his forehead with the back of his hand and walked towards Chu Jiahe.

Chu Jiahe opened the car door and invited Gan Tang into the car. As he closed the door, he couldn't help but exclaim, "Mrs. Chu looks beautiful today."

Gan Tang leaned against the car window and looked at him sideways: "Mr. Chu, you are doing the same thing today."

The weather was beautiful today, with a sky full of red clouds. When the two arrived at the Civil Affairs Bureau, there wasn't a single couple in line.

Chu Jiahe glanced at his watch; it was exactly 8:45. He smiled and said, "We're lucky today; we're the first couple."

The two stood hand in hand at the entrance of the Civil Affairs Bureau, waiting. Perhaps their smiles were too sweet, as they frequently attracted the attention of passersby.

After waiting for about twenty minutes, Chu Jiahe checked his watch and said in surprise, "Why are the people at the Civil Affairs Bureau so lazy today? It's already past nine o'clock, why aren't they open yet?"

"It's alright, it won't make a difference if it's just a little while longer," Gan Tang comforted him.

The two waited another ten minutes, but the Civil Affairs Bureau still didn't open. Chu Jiahe was getting impatient. Seeing an old man sweeping the streets nearby, he went over and asked, "Excuse me, do you know why the Civil Affairs Bureau isn't open?"

The old man didn't even look up, and casually said, "It's Saturday today."

Why would the Civil Affairs Bureau be open on Saturday?

Chu Jiahe turned to look at Gan Tang, and the two stared at each other for a full minute before bursting into laughter. No wonder so many people were looking at them; they were looking at idiots.

Gan Tang nestled shyly against his shoulder and asked, "What do we do now?"

Their flight is at 8 a.m. the day after tomorrow, and they won't have time to get their marriage certificate before flying to the United States.

"Let's go home!" Chu Jiahe drove Gan Tang to the wedding room that Lu Zhengqian had prepared for them.

Last night he stayed up all night redesigning the villa, and around 1 a.m., he sent Gan Tang the revised design for the third time. Gan Tang was half asleep and casually replied with a "okay." She didn't expect that when she came over today, workers were already at work.

Although the study hasn't been meticulously planned yet, it's already taking shape, complete with writing brushes, ink, a table, and chairs, and has even been specially cleaned. It seems Chu Jiahe specifically instructed him to do so.

Gan Tang asked, puzzled, "Why did you bring me here?"

"Please, Madam, bestow your calligraphy." Chu Jiahe pulled out a chair and helped Gantang sit down.

Only then did Gan Tang notice a thick stack of invitations on the table, their bright red color dazzling.

"Jiahe, is it in such a hurry?" For Gantang, who always had to be on time for work, it was really hard to keep up with his extraordinary efficiency.

"Of course we're in a hurry! We're back in less than ten days before the wedding. It's proper to send out the invitations a month in advance."

"Alright then!" Gan Tang raised her hand and smiled, "Bring me pen and ink!"

"Yes, Madam!" Chu Jiahe placed the brush dipped in ink into Gan Tang's hand and unfolded the list of guests that had been prepared.

She sat writing, and he stood beside her, watching her. She had initially thought he was just saying it casually, but he actually asked her to write the invitations.

As Gan Tang wrote, she turned to look at the man standing beside her, "Do you want to write too?"

Chu Jiahe shook his head, "My handwriting is bad!"

"I'll teach you!"

Gan Tang moved her chair aside, took Chu Jiahe's hand, and carefully wrote their names on the red invitation: Chu Jiahe and Lu Xintang.

The empty invitation on the left gradually lowered, while the invitation on the right, filled with the names of the two people, gradually rose.

As she watched the last name on the list being written, Gan Tang unfolded a blank invitation and nervously looked at the man holding her hand.

"Jiahe, I also have an aunt who lives in the US. My mother died in childbirth, and my father was always busy with business when I was little, so my aunt and uncle raised me. We're going to the US anyway, how about we invite them to our wedding?"

"If they're willing to come, that would be great!"

“Of course I’m willing!” Gan Tang held his hand and wrote down the names of her parents that she had forged at the police station that day. In just a few days, Lu Zhengqian should be able to use this false identity to send them abroad.

When the time comes, when my parents hear what I asked Mo Huaixing to say, they will definitely contact Tian Tian. Then I will have Tian Tian find out their address in the United States, and everything will fall into place.

Looking at the names on the invitation, Chu Jiahe asked in surprise, "Why don't my aunt and mother-in-law have the same surname?"

Gan Tang's hand trembled, and the last word was scrambled. She lowered her eyes to hide it: "My mother and aunt are... half-sisters, but they treat me very well."

Amidst the chaos of wealthy families, Chu Jiahe, seeing her flustered state, didn't ask any further questions. She threw the poorly written invitation into the trash can, unfolded a blank one, and gently patted her head: "Just write another one!"

Gan Tang nodded.

Looking at the huge project that was finally completed, Chu Jiahe lifted Gan Tang onto the desk and kissed her passionately.

Their necks were entwined in a passionate embrace, and his kisses grew increasingly domineering. Gan Tang was so overwhelmed by the kisses that she felt dizzy and breathless. When she left, she only remembered to take the invitation she had written, forgetting the discarded one in the trash can.

As luck would have it, on this very day, Lu Zhengqian happened to be passing by after a meeting. It was late at night, but the lights were still on, and the workers were still working overtime.

"Why are these two kids in such a hurry?" Lu Zhengqian was intrigued and decided to go in and take a look. Unexpectedly, he found the discarded invitation in the trash can in the study.

He knew most of the guest lists for both the bride and groom, but he couldn't recall any of the names in front of him. Lu Zhengqian didn't mind, casually tossing the item onto the table and smiling at Fu Cheng, "Acheng, when you get married, your godfather will give you a villa like this too, how about it?"

Ali suddenly exclaimed in surprise, "This name... isn't it a name fabricated for the young lady's adoptive parents?"

Lu Zhengqian picked it up again to look at it, his hands trembling uncontrollably.

"Ah Cheng, did you go see that couple today?"

Seeing his godfather's pale face, Fu Cheng didn't dare say that he had sent Mo Huaixing in his place, and whispered, "They promised to leave and not come back to bother my sister again!"

Where to send it?

"Go to the US, send them off tomorrow."

"Tang'er and Chu Jiahe are going to the United States." Lu Zhengqian's heart trembled, and he looked at Fu Cheng in shock. "Is it you who wants to send them to the United States, or did Tang'er ask you to?"

Fu Cheng was also a little flustered: "Godfather, are you overthinking this? My sister did mention to me that she wanted to send them to the United States because the medical conditions there are better. I agreed to it, but the United States is so big, and I didn't tell her which city they would be sent to."

"Given Chu Jiahe's status, is it really that difficult to find someone in the US?"
