Chapter 113 You'll Take My Wedding Photos

Gan Tang walked out gracefully and explained, "My fiancé has gone abroad on business. The man outside is my... driver."

The two women smiled awkwardly and made way, knowing that if the manager knew they were gossiping about customers behind their backs, their wages would be docked.

Gan Tang lifted her fluffy skirt and took two steps out, then turned back somewhat unconvinced and corrected, "That handsome guy that day, the young girl is too young, she needs to work on her judgment."

A light veil, like smoke and mist, accentuated the graceful figure of the woman within, making her appear like a fairy in the clouds. A touch of red on her lips was her only lingering attachment to the mortal world.

Gan Tang stood in front of the full-length mirror, turned to look at the man sitting on the sofa, and asked, "Does it look good?"

As if bewitched, Mo Huaixing nodded involuntarily.

"Whether it looks good or not is none of your business." Gan Tang's lips curled slightly. "Alright, don't just sit here and give others the wrong impression. Go outside and wait for me!"

“Okay!” Mo Huaixing stood up and responded, and actually obediently walked out.

"Come back!" Gan Tang said, displeased. "I forgot, I need to take a picture and send it to Jia He. You take it for me."

Mo Huaixing turned around and reached for his phone.

Gan Tang refused, saying, "My phone is about to die, I'll use yours."

Mo Huaixing was already holding his phone in his hand. He took two steps back and started taking pictures. But the results weren't very good.

Gan Tang frowned: "Mo Huaixing, do you even know how to take a picture? Are my legs that short?"

The wedding dress had a train, so you couldn't see any legs. What could he say? He could only take more photos. But even after taking several, not a single one was satisfactory.

Importantly, during this time, he went out to make phone calls, and his eyes never once lingered on the person in the wedding dress.

Gan Tang got anxious: "Mo Huaixing, if you don't want to take my picture, just say so. What's the point of taking such an ugly picture?"

Mo Huaixing really didn't know where she got such a temper, and explained in a low voice, "I don't know how to take pictures."

"If you don't know how to take pictures, then learn. What's the point of you always going out to make phone calls?"

"Can I not answer a call from the chairman?"

His reasoned explanation only made Gan Tang more unhappy.

The manager quickly stepped in to smooth things over: "Ms. Lu, we have professional photographers here, and the photos they take are all very professional."

"No need! I'm just taking pictures for my fiancé to see, it's just to choose a wedding dress, it's no trouble." Gan Tang said, then looked at Mo Huaixing again: "If you don't know how to take pictures, just take a few more, I'll choose one myself in a bit."

This time, she didn't look at the photos either, instead going in and out to change into different wedding dresses for photos. Every time she came out, Mo Huaixing was either on the phone or typing. In short, he never looked at the photos, nor did he look at her.

There was no disappointment, no regret in his eyes, only indifference and impatience.

Yes, it's impatience.

Gan Tang felt incredibly pathetic. Even though she knew he had rejected her, she was still unwilling to give up and tried to see if he had even a tiny bit of affection in his heart.

"Let's try on these few!" Gan Tang had no more interest in trying on clothes and said to the manager, "I'll call you to let you know which style you choose."

When Mo Huaixing returned after making the call, he opened the camera and saw Gan Tang wearing the same clothes she had worn before. He asked curiously, "Are you done trying them on?"

"I'm not trying anymore. I can't afford to rely on someone as important as you." Gan Tang stormed out. She knew she shouldn't talk to him anymore, but seeing him always made her want to cry.

Mo Huaixing had never coaxed a girl before, and he felt a little flustered: "I'm sorry, I'm a little busy today."

"Don't come if you're busy. Did I ask you to come?"

"sorry!"

"Besides saying sorry, what else can you say?" Gan Tang snatched his phone away.

"you……"

"What do you mean 'you'? I'm just choosing some photos." Gan Tang said dismissively, shooing her away. "You drive there, I'll wait for you at the door."

On the way back, Mo Huaixing drove quietly while Gan Tang sat in the back, quietly selecting photos. This was a brief moment of harmony after their argument.

The photos weren't very good, but you can't entirely blame him. He's such a straight man; these days, taking photos with the original camera isn't even proper. However, a few of them were actually quite good.

After looking through her own photos, Gan Tang started looking through his old ones. There wasn't a single picture of a girl in them, which cheered her up a bit, but seeing him with his arm around Fu Cheng's shoulder made her wonder: Could he really like men?

The car slowly came to a stop, and Mo Huaixing reminded him, "We've arrived!"

"Wait a minute!" Gan Tang started sending photos.

Mo Huaixing tried to ease the tension, but what he said was still the same clichéd words she hated.

"I'm sorry, I didn't let you have your fill today."

"It's alright. I shouldn't have lost my temper with you today." Gan Tang smiled faintly. "It's just that I need to send the photos to my fiancé, and I can't exactly send him unflattering pictures, right?"

"Yes!" Mo Huaixing's words disrupted his rhythm as he pointed to his phone and asked, "Is there a working one?"

"A few of them are still okay, they can be fixed with some editing." Gan Tang handed the phone back to him. Her mood had just improved, and she was planning to say a few words to him, but she watched helplessly as Mo Huaixing deleted all her photos.

"Goodbye!" With a bang, Gan Tang got out of the car and closed the door.

Mo Huaixing watched the girl walk away, then finally chased after her and blocked her path.

"Get out of the way!" Gan Tang glared.

Mo Huaixing slowly spoke, "I've come today to say goodbye."

"Farewell?"

Mo Huaixing nodded. "Mr. Fu asked me to take care of some things. If you need anything, you can contact Jin Hu, the one who led you to your room at the Zhu Zi Man Cheng Club."

Gan Tang felt a sudden pang of fear: "Is there any danger?"

"No, it's just... whatever news you hear, you have to believe it has nothing to do with you."

At that time, Gan Tang did not know what he meant, but his expression was very serious, and she nodded seriously: "Then be careful."

"Okay! Take care."

"Take care of yourself!"

Gan Tang thought he would only be gone for three to five days, but she didn't expect that she would hear news of him again ten days later.

It was a rosy evening, and in an open-air, air-conditioned glass room in Qinglong Bay, Gan Tang was playing chess with Lu Zhengqian. She had already lost three games in a row.

Fu Cheng sat in the middle, watching the spectacle unfold. "Eat, sister, quick, eat the horse!"

Gan Tang frowned: "If you eat the horse, won't my carriage be gone?"

Fu Cheng sincerely considered her feelings: "Anyway, you're going to lose in the end. If you win a few more, you can lose more gracefully in the end."

“Who said I was bound to lose? I just lost because I haven’t played for years and I’ve gotten rusty.” Gan Tang said, recounting his glorious history: “I’ve won first place in a chess tournament.”

"Wow, that's impressive!" But her playing style was really unlike what he expected. Fu Cheng asked seriously, "What competition?"

Gan Tang casually replied, "Elementary school chess competition."

Fu Cheng nodded with a smile, "Elementary school? That's pretty impressive!"

Even Lu Zhengqian laughed.
