Fu Cheng's head exploded with a bang, his heart shattered like glass, and his internal organs bled profusely. "Don't be afraid, I won't tell him."
"I'm willing." Lin Shuang looked at him with a satisfied longing, rubbing his chest through her clothes and smiling seductively: "Fourth Master said that as long as I serve you well, he will let me be the female lead in 'Ode to Mountains and Rivers'."
"Ode to Mountains and Rivers" was a script she had recently read, and she mentioned it casually to make it more authentic.
Seeing that Fu Cheng was frozen and motionless, Lin Shuang took the initiative to unbutton his clothes.
"Miss Lin, please don't do this." Fu Cheng tried to pull her hand, but Lin Shuang stubbornly refused to let go.
Suddenly, Fu Cheng's eyes changed, his anger like that of a bloodthirsty beast. Lin Shuang was so frightened that she tried to run away, but he grabbed her wrist tightly.
"Are you injured?"
Lin Shuang followed his gaze downwards and saw the blood flowing down her inner thighs. She closed her legs in shame and shook her head nervously, "No, it's menstrual blood."
Do you think I wouldn't recognize you?
He had seen this situation before, more than once, so how could he not tell the difference?
For the first time, Fu Cheng touched the face he had never dared to touch before, and said in a hoarse voice, "Don't be afraid, I'll go find him."
"Don't go, please don't go." Lin Shuang clung tightly to Fu Cheng's waist. She didn't dare to imagine what kind of punishment she would receive if He Zhong found out that she was lying to him.
In a panic, she told the truth, "It has nothing to do with him, I cut myself with a razor blade."
The world was completely still, but only for a moment.
Fu Cheng's anger turned into heartache.
Lin Shuang looked at him, then lowered her head in shame. She knew he had misunderstood. He must have thought she was some kind of chaste and virtuous woman who would rather die than submit, but the truth was that she herself couldn't even count how many times He Zhong had played with her body.
But she didn't have the courage to tell him.
A knock sounded at the door, followed by He Zhong's booming laughter: "Acheng, haven't you changed your clothes yet?"
Fu Cheng suddenly pulled the blanket over Lin Shuang, then took off his shirt and went to open the door.
"Ah Cheng, why are you so slow!" He Zhong asked sarcastically before heading into the room.
Fu Cheng blocked the door and asked directly, "What does Fourth Uncle want me to do? Just say it."
Young people are indeed straightforward. He Zhong said frankly, "I've also had a headache these past two days. You know, that kid Mo Huaixing has made Canglan a mess by messing around with the Pang family. He's causing all sorts of checks at every checkpoint, and it's preventing my fourth uncle's goods from getting out."
Although each of them has their own main drug trafficking route, there are inevitably some smaller branches. Now that Canglan is so tense, he still hasn't given up, clearly wanting those small drug dealers to see his abilities and thus come to join him, thwarting Mo Huaixing's plan.
Fu Cheng replied readily, "It's a small matter, I'll take care of it for Fourth Uncle."
"Does Acheng have a solution?" He Zhongming asked knowingly.
Fu Cheng said calmly, "Canglan is my territory. I can give it away if I want to, and no one can take it away if I don't want to."
"Then thank you very much, Uncle." He wasn't sure how much Lin Shuang meant to him, and worried that if he made a difficult request, Fu Cheng would turn against him, so he asked for something he could easily do. Anyway, there's plenty of time in the future.
He Zhong slapped Fu Cheng on the chest with his backhand, a wicked grin on his face: "If you want anything in the future, just tell your fourth uncle. Do you think your fourth uncle would mistreat you?"
As he spoke, he reminisced about the past, "When you were little, during the time we were hiding and starving, whenever we found wild fruits or mushrooms, your fourth uncle would always go hungry himself and let you eat first."
Fu Cheng sneered, "If you weren't afraid of being poisoned, you would have given it to me first." Too lazy to waste any more words, he excused himself and left.
However, he did not leave alone. After getting dressed, he picked up the trembling body wrapped in the white blanket and went downstairs.
In the living room, Yu Dayong reached out to stop Fu Cheng from taking a step and questioned, "Young Master Cheng, isn't what you're doing inappropriate?"
The petite body inside the blanket visibly trembled. Fu Cheng hugged her tightly and turned his head to look at He Zhong, who was leaning against the railing on the second floor.
He Zhong smiled and waved.
Yu Dayong watched Fu Cheng leave and rushed upstairs. "Fourth Master, you just let him take the person away like that?"
He Zhong sneered: "He's mine, where can he take him?"
Yu Dayong was still worried: "What if Mr. Fu finds out?"
“He wouldn’t dare! Once my brother finds out he dared to steal my woman, will Lin Shuang even be alive?” He Zhong turned and went into the house, a voice drifting back from afar, “Call Xiao Ya over, let me vent my anger.”
Yu Dayong clenched his fist and gritted his teeth in agreement.
Fu Cheng drove his car to the underground parking lot of a shopping mall and parked it in the most secluded spot. He turned his head slightly and said, "I'm going to buy something. Wait for me."
As Lin Shuang heard the car door close, she pulled back the covers, tears streaming down her face.
Fu Cheng returned quickly, placed a paper bag on the passenger seat, and then walked away to smoke.
Even though no one was around, Lin Shuang still timidly pulled the paper bag over. He was very thoughtful; the paper bag contained not only clothes and shoes, but also a mask, sunglasses, and a hat.
Lin Shuang glanced at Fu Cheng in the distance, quickly dressed, and waited for him by the car door, still clutching the blanket.
The car started moving again, and soon stopped in an unfamiliar place. Lin Shuang turned her head and looked, her face turning deathly pale with fright.
It turned out to be a hospital.
"I'm not going!"
Seeing Fu Cheng open the car door to carry her out, Lin Shuang was so frightened that she hid to the other side. Although it was already midnight, the doctor would see her, and she didn't want the doctor to see her in such a humiliating place, nor did she want the doctor to ask her name.
Lin Shuang struggled to kick Fu Cheng, who was leaning down at her. Fu Cheng held Lin Shuang's feet through the blanket and advised, "Sweetie, let the doctor take a look. What if the wound gets infected?"
"I won't go, I won't go, please, please, please, I want to go home, I want to go home..." In the cramped space, where the oxygen was thin, Lin Shuang cried until she almost fainted. Her pale face, covered with red and swollen handprints, looked even more ferocious.
"Alright, alright, let's go home." Fu Cheng didn't dare to provoke her any further and sped towards Maple Forest Garden.
Upon arriving at Maple Forest Park, the rear door had just been unlocked when Lin Shuang hurriedly said thank you, got out, and fled. He didn't even have time to say a word to her.
Not long after, Fu Cheng carried a bag of medicine upstairs. Although he knew where she lived, this was the first time he had come to her residence.
Standing at the door, Fu Cheng straightened his wrinkled clothes and gently rang the doorbell.
"Who!" A weak, terrified voice came from inside the house.
"It's me, Fu Cheng."
"You can leave now, I'm going to sleep." A cold dismissal.
Fu Cheng gripped the bag in his hand and said, "Open the door, I'll bring the medicine in for you."
"Go away, please go away." It was a suppressed sob that broke the hearts of those who heard it.
