"No!" Gan Tang shook her head. "No matter how many people there are, none are as good as one loyal one. What if he sees through me and doesn't genuinely help me? I finally managed to win him over."
“Okay, whatever you say.” Lu Zhengqian smiled and didn’t mention Gan Tang’s phone call until he left the villa.
Gan Tang helped him out of the villa and asked, "Dad, why don't you let Dr. Mu Zi stay at home?"
He can't leave the doctor now, so he doesn't live in the villa anymore.
"No, thank you." Lu Zhengqian didn't explain further and got into the car.
Seeing that the car was about to leave, Gan Tang boldly blocked the door and said embarrassedly, "Dad, could you give me a debit card? One million will do. Credit cards are not very convenient."
She originally intended to cash out this money.
"Okay, I'll have someone bring it to you in a bit." Lu Zhengqian didn't ask why.
An hour later, Gan Tang's phone rang. To her surprise, the person delivering the card was Fu Shaojie.
Outside the gate, Fu Shaojie looked up at the villa his father had designed, feeling an indescribable jealousy. He didn't even have the right to go in here, and seeing Gan Tang come out only fueled his anger.
"Here you go!" Fu Shaojie threw down the bank card and turned to leave.
Gan Tang caught up with him and asked in surprise, "Fu Shaojie, did you forget to take your medicine?"
"You're the one who forgot to take your medicine." Fu Shaojie turned around, his fierce look startling Gan Tang, who quickly backed away. They had originally agreed to meet tomorrow, but since he was here, wasn't it better to say it now?
Gan Tang couldn't understand where his anger came from, so she pulled him away from the car and into a clump of bushes, asking, "Are my adoptive parents doing well?"
"It's neither good nor bad. They have plenty of food and drink over there, but the two of them are incredibly stubborn. They search for you along the river every day, determined not to give up until they find your body."
"How dare you talk like that!" Gan Tang glared at him, and seeing his fists clenched, she stuffed the bank card into his armpit and instructed, "Give them this million as compensation for raising me all these years."
Giving money means wanting to sever all ties. Gan Tang was still worried and added, "Make sure you come up with a good reason, so they don't guess I'm still alive."
Fu Shaojie said impatiently, "There are thirty million in here."
"Ah, thirty million?" Gan Tang quickly pulled the bank card out from under his arm and said with a smile, "I'll transfer it to you in a bit."
"Hmph, hmph, hmph..." Fu Shaojie ignored her and got into his car and left.
A flashy yellow sports car sped past, and Gan Tang turned back to the villa. A large, icy hand landed on her shoulder. Just as she was about to cry for help, her mouth was covered.
