Chapter 33 Preventing People's Sense of Proportion

"Who is he?" Mo Huaixing asked again.

It seems inappropriate to ask someone for a favor without being clear about the details, but she really didn't want to say, so she earnestly asked, "Could you please not ask?"

"Okay, I won't ask. But how do I maintain this balance..."

"Don't hurt him," Gan Tang hurriedly interrupted Mo Huaixing.

Mo Huaixing understood. "Is he your boyfriend?"

Gan Tang nodded and then quickly shook her head: "Ex-ex-boyfriend."

"It wasn't completely cut off, was it?"

"Whether I've broken up with him completely or not is none of your business." His interrogative tone infuriated Gan Tang: "Aren't you my boyfriend? Why are you so nosy?"

"What boyfriend?" The last part of the sentence was spoken a little loudly, and was overheard by Lu Zhengqian who just walked in.

The two quickly stood up.

Lu Zhengqian didn't say anything and waved for him to leave.

Watching Mo Huaixing's hurried departure, Gan Tang helped Lu Zhengqian sit down and complained, "Dad, don't scare him. You're just making things difficult for me."

"Did I scare him?" Lu Zhengqian frowned.

"Do you need to scare me? Your stern face alone is enough to frighten people."

"Then should I smile at him next time I see him?"

"No!" Gan Tang raised her hand to stop her. "You should keep your composure. Your smile is even more frightening."

"You little rascal," Lu Zhengqian gently poked his daughter's forehead, "How's it going with the data? Tell me!"

"ah!"

"What, didn't you see it?" Lu Zhengqian immediately became serious.

"I've seen it, I've seen it." Gan Tang came over with the documents in her arms, complaining as she walked, "I could have just gone up there myself, why did you have to come and test me personally?"

"Who's flirting?" Gan Tang said, spreading out the documents with displeasure.
