Chapter 6 Punishment of the Traitors

"Acheng, come and get your hair."

Lu Zhengqian unusually showed goodwill towards Fu Cheng, after all, of the three people he relied on most, only Fu Cheng had not betrayed him. Even the boss who could do whatever he wanted had to vulnerablely seek support when he was on his sickbed.

Fu Cheng lowered his head and said, "Godfather, let Ali take it!"

With virtually no room for maneuver, he still tried his best to avoid suspicion.

Lu Zhengqian pointed at Mo Huaixing, Fu Cheng's most trusted confidant: "You come here!"

"Yes, Mr. Fu."

Mo Huaixing slowly walked up to Gan Tang.

The sight of that long, strong hand touching her scalp brought tears to Gan Tang's eyes. She raised her head and once again revealed her humble plea to Mo Huaixing.

Your hands are so beautiful!

Could you use this to help me make a phone call to my parents?

Mo Huaixing didn't respond to her gaze, cut his hair, and left.

Two strands of hair, amidst the vibrations of the machine, stirred the hearts of everyone present. Time passed, sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly, and the machine calmly displayed its results.

Dr. Mu Zi said cautiously, "Mr. Fu, the machine shows that you and Miss Gan Tang are very likely to be related as parents."

After a brief silence, thunderous congratulations erupted as soon as the words were spoken.

Everyone's expression was different. He Zhong cried the most emotionally.

Fu Shaojie shrank back in worry. If Gan Tang told his father that he and Lin Shuang were having an affair, he would be in even more trouble.

Lin Shuang was so frightened that her legs trembled, and she didn't even notice Lu Zhengqian getting up.

Fu Cheng hurriedly helped Lu Zhengqian up and said to Gan Tang, "Sister, come here quickly!"

"ah……"

Gan Tang walked over, leaned over the bedside, and lowered her gaze slightly below Lu Zhengqian's.

Lu Zhengqian touched Gan Tang's burning cheeks, his fingertips trembling.

“Su Huai, after twenty-seven years, I have finally found our child.”

The real touch on her cheek made Gan Tang feel a little dazed. How could she possibly be Lu Zhengqian's daughter? She subconsciously looked at Mo Huaixing. Mo Huaixing's face was turned halfway to the side, making it impossible to see his expression.

"Godfather, please rest first." Seeing that Lu Zhengqian was a little agitated, Fu Cheng quickly helped him lie down. "We have plenty of time, let my sister rest first too."

Dr. Mu Zi also reminded Lu Zhengqian to rest first.

Everyone else left one after another, but Fu Cheng was left behind by him.

"Godfather, that surveillance camera..."

"I know you didn't make him do it."

Fu Cheng wanted to explain, but Lu Zhengqian stopped him and instructed, "Mo Huaixing is too scheming, too vengeful, and ruthless to himself. I know he saved your life. But such a person is hard to control. Use him if you can, and if you can't, never be soft-hearted."

Lu Zhengqian patted the back of his hand repeatedly, and Fu Cheng was deeply moved, choking back tears as he said, "I understand, Godfather!"

...

Gan Tang was led to a new room. It was a suite with two rooms, several times more luxurious than Mo Huaixing's room, and much warmer than the room where she had woken up.

The shoulder bag was brought over, and the suitcase was lying on the floor. Gan Tang returned all her belongings, except for her cell phone, which allowed her to contact the outside world.

She was safe. But this kind of safety was beyond Gan Tang's capacity to bear. If death was beheading, then this was slow slicing.

Gan Tang rushed into the bathroom, letting the water from the showerhead wash over her face and body.

How could she possibly be the daughter of a gang leader?

She wanted to call her parents, but in the end, she could only squat in the corner and cry alone.

The wardrobe was filled with beautiful dresses, all carefully prepared for her. But now she didn't want to wear a dress and chose a gray tracksuit instead.

Mo Huaixing's clothes were still lying on the sink, so Gan Tang put them in the washing machine. The sound of the washing machine gradually calmed her down.

She could never be Lu Zhengqian's daughter; the genetic test results must have been tampered with. The most likely culprit was Mo Huaixing.

But why would he help me?

Gan Tang couldn't wait any longer. After washing the clothes, she carried them out immediately. She was going to find him, even if it meant risking her life, she had to find out the truth.

The cruise ship was too big, and Gan Tang was too nervous to remember the way. The corridor was deserted, and she waited for a long time before she saw someone walking towards her.

Gan Tang hurriedly stepped forward and asked, "Do you know where Mo Huaixing lives?"

"Looking for someone?" The woman was a cleaning lady, who had no idea who she was asking about. She pointed to the elevator and said, "I heard they're punishing traitors on the deck. Everyone's gone over there. Why don't you go check it out?"

Gan Tang dared not venture into the crowds and instead came to the observation deck on this level. From the observation deck, she could clearly see what was happening on the deck.

Mo Huaixing knelt on the hard steel plate, facing the sea. Behind him, two burly men wielded leather whips, striking his bare back repeatedly. His smooth back gradually became a bloody mess, and blood flowed down to the feet of every onlooker.

Why hit him? Was it because he installed surveillance cameras, or...?

"Young Miss, what are you doing here?"

A voice rang out, startling Gan Tang so much that she shivered. She snapped out of her thoughts, forced herself to remain calm, and turned around.

A boy of about thirteen or fourteen years old bowed and scraped, saying, "Miss, Brother Ali wants you to go to the deck."

"What do you want me to do?"

The boy was very excited: "You'll see when you get there, it's great!"

Could there be anything good for her in this place? Gan Tang didn't believe it, but she had no choice.

As Gan Tang walked over, Mo Huaixing's flogging ended, but the punishment wasn't over yet. Ali picked up an iron bucket full of seawater and poured it over Mo Huaixing's head.

Mo Huaixing looked up at the sky and roared.
