Chapter 96 The Truth That Was Spoken Off

Through the transparent glass wall, Mo Huaixing knelt by the pool. A leather whip soaked in salt water lashed his back again and again.

The cracking of the whip echoed through the sky. The people in the room remained unmoved; in fact, there were even faint snickers.

Fu Cheng said urgently, "Sister, please tell Godfather, he's dying!"

"So what if he dies? He's one of yours, what does it have to do with me?" Gan Tang sat down hard, repeatedly telling herself: I can't reveal the hospital so quickly, otherwise Lu Zhengqian won't believe me.

She remained calm, but someone else was even calmer than her.

A new teacup was placed on the table. Lu Zhengqian held it in his hand and slowly sipped his tea, as if nothing had happened. With a thud, the man who had been whipped could no longer kneel and collapsed to the ground.

Her heart skipped a beat, and Gan Tang ran out uncontrollably.

"Hold her down." A cold command.

Zhou Shan, who was standing behind Fu Cheng, chased after her and stopped Gan Tang, pleading, "Miss, please tell Mr. Fu!"

A basin of salt water was poured on Mo Huaixing, and he woke up shivering from the pain.

Two members of the Green Dragon Gang lifted Mo Huaixing and placed him back on the wooden stool. Just as the whip was about to fall again, Gan Tang shouted into the room, "I'll talk, I'll talk..."

She didn't know if now was a good time, but she really couldn't resist.

Inside the hall, Lu Zhengqian stood up, and Lin Shuang helped him walk out. The group of people hurriedly followed behind.

Gan Tang helped Zhou Shan stand up straight, looked at the group of people who came out, and said in a trembling voice, "Dad, I'm telling you, as long as you don't kill them, I'll tell you everything."

Dr. Mu, who was usually quiet, spoke first: "Miss, Mr. Fu never intended to kill them. He just wanted to prevent them from threatening you."

What constitutes being unable to be threatened?

Gan Tang was skeptical: "The Third Hospital."

Lu Zhengqian narrowed his eyes slightly and asked dangerously, "And then?"

"What then?" Gan Tang feigned ignorance.

Lu Zhengqian sat down on the stool his bodyguard had brought over and slowly uttered a sentence: "Keep fighting."

Gan Tang said anxiously, "Dad, I've already told you, why are you still hitting me?"

But no one listened to her, and the whip cracked again. Mo Huaixing's shirt had been torn when he was dragged onto the stool, and now large patches of his skin were exposed, not a single piece intact.

Blood flowed down Mo Huaixing's body, spreading outwards in concentric circles. He knelt prostrate in the pool of blood, like a severely wounded eagle that had fallen.

Fu Cheng asked urgently, "Sister, who did you have pick them up?"

Lu Zhengqian has already sent people to investigate most of the hospitals in Tianjin.

"No!" Gan Tang hurriedly explained, "Who could I ask to pick them up? I've been with Chu Jiahe the whole time, how could I dare to tell him?"

Amidst the sharp crack of the whip, a weak gasp escaped. It was as if the soul and spirit were bidding a final farewell to the body.

Gan Tang threw herself in front of Lu Zhengqian, clinging tightly to his leg, and pleaded, "Dad, I've told you everything I know. I really don't know anything else. Please let him go. He's dying, he's dying..."

Lu Zhengqian remained unmoved.

Gan Tang rushed toward Mo Huaixing in a hurry, but she couldn't get there because Zhou Shan held her tightly again.

With a thud, Mo Huaixing slid off the stool and collapsed into a pool of blood once more. Gan Tang's mind went blank; she was unable to think.

"Dad, it was Mo Huaixing who hid the person. You should ask him quickly, because you can't get anything out of a dead person."

As soon as the words left her mouth, Gan Tang realized how dangerous her words were. If Lu Zhengqian found out that Mo Huaixing had helped her hide people, how would he survive?

Gan Tang glared at He Zhong: "Fourth Uncle, I'll do anything you want me to do, just hand over my adoptive parents."

He Zhong, who was gloating, saw the mud being slung at him and hurriedly said, "Niece, you can't say things like that."

But Gan Tang's words had already turned to Fu Shaojie, "Fu Shaojie, I only told you where my adoptive parents are. Where are they? Where are they?"

Fu Shaojie panicked and shrank back.

When Gan Tang looked at Fu Cheng, her voice was already hoarse: "Big brother, don't you like him? Please save him, please save him..."

Fu Cheng glanced at Zhou Shan.

Zhou Shan loosened his grip, and Gan Tang stumbled and fell to her knees. The whip continued to strike, and she scrambled forward two steps, throwing herself onto Mo Huaixing, her pale yellow dress instantly stained red.

The two members of the Green Dragon Gang who were whipping the young lady didn't have time to stop and ended up hitting her on the back.

Ouch!

The beatings she received when she was abducted by human traffickers were on a completely different level. No wonder beatings have been a form of punishment for thousands of years.

Gan Tang convulsed in pain. She couldn't imagine how he had endured so many lashes.

"Stop! Can't you see the young lady?" Fu Cheng angrily rebuked the two gang members who were whipping him, then turned to look at Lu Zhengqian.

"Godfather, it seems my sister really doesn't know. She's getting engaged in five days. If she gets injured, how will she wear her wedding dress?"

“Godfather, Mo Huaixing was appointed as the hall master by your own hand. If you beat him like that, how will he be able to command respect in the future?” Mo Huaixing was humiliated and disgraceful.

Fu Cheng gave two reasons in a row.

Lu Zhengqian raised his hand to stop her, looked at Gan Tang without any emotion, and asked, "How did you find Ali's car?"

Gan Tang knew that Lu Zhengqian probably only suspected Mo Huaixing and He Zhong. This was the best opportunity to clear Mo Huaixing of suspicion.

“I felt that if Dad wanted to kill them, he would definitely go back to Guyun Town. So I lied to Mo Huaixing and told him to drive south.” Guyun Town was where Gan Tang grew up. She only understood why Mo Huaixing would go south after seeing the license plate.
