Gan Tang smiled, "You should go back and rest!"
"Let me look at you again!" Chu Jiahe leaned back in the car, exhausted, but his eyes were still full of starlight as he looked at his beloved woman.
Just then, a maid brought over some floral water and a bottle of white ointment.
"Young Miss, this ointment works great!"
"Thanks!"
Gan Tang propped her phone up on the bed and applied the ointment while he watched her do it.
"Up, higher still, a little higher..."
A little higher and the entire skirt was lifted up. Gan Tang screamed at the screen in embarrassment, only to find herself completely naked on the screen, though only her upper body was visible.
I don't know when, but he had already gone back to his room to take a shower.
"What are you doing? I'm hanging up!"
"No, don't hang it up!" He rarely spoke in such a commanding tone, but he chuckled, "What's wrong with looking at your own man?"
He was sincere and open in front of her, which only highlighted the dark and sordid corner of her heart that she couldn't tell anyone. Just now, she had forcibly kissed someone else, and she had thought about breaking up more than once.
Gan Tang raised her hand to touch the skin, the texture of which couldn't be felt on the screen, and felt a shiver run through her fingertips.
"Jiahe, I love you!" She would never waver again.
Chu Jiahe felt a sweet warmth in her heart, but said with dissatisfaction, "Is it just talk?"
Yes, love should always be expressed in some way.
"So what do you want?" she asked.
Chu Jiahe had already wrapped himself in a bath towel and was standing in front of the mirror drying his hair. He pointed to his cheek and proudly demanded, "Give me a kiss."
Gan Tang stared at the screen, her mind going blank: "Jia He, do you want to see inside my skirt?"
Such a bold statement stunned Chu Jiahe for a full minute, then he nodded with burning eyes. How could he not think about it? Ever since that night in Hongcheng, he had thought about it every single day.
Gan Tang got out of bed, drew the curtains, locked the door, and placed her phone on the headboard. She knelt in the middle of the bed and reached for the zipper behind her back.
"Xintang!"
"Hmm?" Gan Tang's face flushed.
Chu Jiahe's voice was hoarse: "The light is too dark, I can't see clearly."
There was only a low bedside lamp on in the room, and when she knelt down, the light didn't reach her.
Gan Tang reached for the light switch beside the bed. The room instantly lit up, as bright as day.
On the phone screen, Chu Jiahe's eyes occupied most of the screen. In the small video frame in the upper right corner, the woman's alluring upper body was clearly reflected.
As soon as the world lit up, she felt a little timid.
"Xintang!" Chu Jiahe urged.
Gan Tang knelt forward, letting her face extend beyond the screen, then tremblingly began to unbutton her dress. The light blue dress bunched up at her waist, revealing a beauty the woman never showed to others.
"White!"
What was supposed to be a perfectly normal comment about the color of a bra sounded incredibly embarrassing to Gan Tang, who angrily retorted, "I told you to look, but who told you to say it!"
"Okay, I won't say anything, you continue." His eyes were filled with longing and devotion, as if he were looking at a priceless treasure.
For those eyes, Gan Tang was willing to give everything she could to express her determination to marry him. She turned slightly to the side and reached out her fair, jade-like hand to unhook the hook behind her back.
A rapid knock on the door abruptly broke the ambiguous atmosphere between the two rooms. Gan Tang hurriedly grabbed the blanket and covered herself. Chu Jiahe looked towards the door with displeasure, but his voice was always gentle: "Who is it?"
"Teacher Chu, everyone is in the meeting room. When will you arrive?" A young student's voice came from outside the door.
"Okay, I'm coming right away." Chu Jiahe looked at her phone screen again. "Where is she?"
Gan Tang slowly revealed himself, holding up his phone with an expression that looked like he wanted to punch someone to death.
Chu Jiahe apologized apologetically: "I'm sorry."
But how can you blame him for this?
Gan Tang asked in a muffled voice, "We've only just arrived, aren't we allowed to rest?"
"I'm not tired!" Chu Jiahe said casually. "I slept on the plane."
"How could I not be tired!" Even the most comfortable first-class cabin can't compare to the comfort of a bed. Gan Tang felt she was being a terrible girlfriend and asked with concern, "Can't we postpone the meeting until tomorrow?"
Of course he could have the meeting tomorrow, but he wanted to go home earlier to be with her.
Chu Jiahe looked at the delicate-looking girl on his phone, half-jokingly and half-covering his eyes: "You're not happy, do you want me to continue... watching?"
Normally, she would have punched him in embarrassment, but today, Gan Tang nodded obediently, like a docile little rabbit, "I'll wait for you to come back!"
Chu Jiahe, unusually unrestrained, asked, "Just looking?"
Gan Tang blushed shyly, put her delicate lips to the receiver, and whispered, "Pick whatever you like."
This was the promise she made to him.
Chu Jiahe changed her clothes with satisfaction and went out. She switched the video to voice and asked, "Xintang, what are you doing tomorrow?"
Gan Tang really didn't have any plans. After thinking for a moment, she said, "Let's go try on the wedding dresses we didn't finish trying on the other day."
"Then remember to send me the photos."
"Of course you get to choose."
Once outside the building, Chu Jiahe felt it inappropriate to continue the conversation, so he simply said "Goodnight" and hung up the phone.
Gan Tang threw her phone away, burying her face in her hands in embarrassment. She really hadn't managed to get herself away today; she'd tried twice, and still failed.
...
The next day, Gan Tang appeared at a bridal shop on the top floor of SKP shopping mall, with Mo Huaixing standing beside her. He had completely ruined her good mood.
"Didn't I tell you not to come?" After being silent the whole way, Gan Tang finally couldn't help but speak.
The bridal shop manager saw Gan Tang and hurriedly came out to greet her, interrupting the man who was about to speak. Gan Tang glared at him angrily and went inside to try on wedding dresses.
"Bring me all the ones I picked out that day." That day, she had only tried on two wedding dresses when she heard the devastating news about her father.
Gan Tang went into the fitting room at the back to try on wedding dresses, and the shop assistant handed tea to Mo Huaixing, who was sitting on the sofa.
The shop assistant was a young girl. While pouring tea, she glanced at Mo Huaixing a few more times. As if she had discovered a new continent, she pulled another shop assistant aside and whispered, "What's going on? Miss Lu wasn't with this man a couple of days ago."
Another employee said, "This person is a relative or friend, right?"
Why would someone bring a male friend to try on wedding dresses? The young woman shook her head: "How could that be? Didn't you see? Miss Lu's gaze towards him was practically drooling."
Another employee, who had worked there for a few more years, was more composed and whispered a reminder: "Don't pry into the affairs of wealthy people."
"Oh!" The little girl smiled and swooned, "But this one is more handsome than that one."
Another employee argued, "What kind of eyes do you have? It's clearly the handsome one."
"So handsome!"
"That guy is handsome!"
Perhaps the sales assistants' job was too boring, as the two women argued about the appearances of two men who had nothing to do with them. Suddenly, the fitting room door behind them opened.
As luck would have it, of all the fitting rooms, Gan Tang happened to be in the one right behind them.
