Chapter 8 Chapter 8 Don’t bite there!
The beads rolled to the ground beside the bed. Not long after, Pei Chengjue picked them up and put them aside.
Pei Chengjue changed into his pajamas, lifted the gauze curtain and got into bed, then put his arms around Qiao Tang and held her in his arms.
"Sister, are you angry with me?"
Qiao Tang was very sleepy and replied vaguely, "Nothing."
"Then why did you throw away the beads you liked?"
Qiao Tang was startled and lost all sleepiness. Pei Chengjue was sometimes easy to coax and sometimes not. She didn't dare to be careless and put her arms around Pei Chengjue's neck. "It was accidentally dropped."
The next moment she blocked his lips.
Soon his mind was consumed by the urgent and intense plundering. As his consciousness faded, he felt the back of his neck become wet, and the water marks spread to his shoulders, and suddenly a pain came over him.
She shuddered instantly, but her mind was still not fully clear, so she slapped him, "I told you not to bite here, why don't you remember?"
The tent was silent, and a dark atmosphere surged. Qiao Tang suddenly woke up. Pei Chengjue asked in confusion, "Why don't I remember what my sister said?"
Qiao Tang's breathing hitched, tears streaming down his face. "Your Majesty's bite was so painful, it made my head go haywire and I'm talking nonsense."
She burrowed into Pei Chengjue's arms. Pei Chengjue reluctantly stretched out his slapped hand and hugged it tightly, his voice full of pity, "It's my fault."
Qiao Tang was afraid that if he said too much, he would become suspicious again, so he took the initiative to pull down his neck again.
Pei Chengjue was inexperienced as it was his first time doing this, so he spent the entire night tossing and turning it over and over like he was playing with his favorite toy.
Qiao Tang really couldn't bear it, but she was glad that she was still menstruating, so Pei Chengjue's exploration stayed on her upper body.
Then I thought again that this was a normal development. What I had to do was to give him a taste of love. When he got tired of it, he would look for other girls.
Qiao Tang seemed to have seen the scene of himself leaving the palace, and stayed in the bedroom in a good mood.
Besides, it was not convenient for her to go out in this state. Her lips were swollen from being sucked, and there were obvious marks on the back of her neck. She applied some medicine and rested.
During this period, the palace maid Chuntao came and said that Wei Ruomei had left the palace and returned home, and sent an invitation before leaving.
Qiao Tang took a quick glance and realized it was for the Flower Viewing Banquet in three days. He took it, played with it in his hands, and said to Chun Tao, "Since we've accepted the invitation, we must go. We'll go to the Zhenguogong Mansion in three days."
Chuntao lowered her head and said nothing. Qiao Tang slowly placed the invitation on the table and let her leave.
After a while, she sneered, it seemed that she had really fallen into a cage.
Even a palace maid knew that without Pei Chengjue's order, she could not even go to the palace gate, let alone the Duke of Zhenguo's Mansion.
At lunchtime, Eunuch Li from the Qinzheng Palace took her to see Pei Chengjue and said cautiously, "His Majesty lost his temper during the government meeting this morning, and he's still angry. Miss Qiao, please be careful."
Qiao Tang was lost in thought after hearing this, but when she saw Pei Chengjue, she felt that Pei Chengjue was very normal, not like he was angry. He still talked to her with a smile, and was particularly attentive to her during the meal, and ordered the palace servants to serve her her favorite dishes.
After dinner, Pei Chengjue went into the warm room to rest. Qiao Tang listened from the outer hall as Eunuch Li bowed and whispered, "Miss Qiao is indeed favored by the emperor. His Majesty is delighted when Miss Qiao comes."
Qiao Tang didn't say anything, just smiled slightly, and then went into the warm room. Pei Chengjue picked her up and sat her on the armchair, "I miss you, sister."
The time they had been apart was clearly less than half a day.
Qiao Tang raised his neck and let Pei Chengjue ask for it. He thought that it was normal for him to indulge in it after all, as it was just the beginning. So he just let him do it.
But Pei Chengjue put his hands on her waist, exerting more and more force, as if he wanted to pinch her tender skin.
She couldn't help but feel overwhelmed, so she reached out to comfort him gently, which managed to calm Pei Chengjue down and tidy up her messy clothes.
Seeing that he was still unsatisfied, Qiao Tang deliberately changed the subject, "Today, the palace maids said that Miss Wei had returned home, and also sent me an invitation for a flower viewing banquet. I was thinking of leaving the palace and visiting the Duke of Zhenguo's residence in a couple of days. Is that feasible?"
Pei Chengjue smiled slowly, "Sister, why didn't you tell me earlier that you wanted to see the flowers? I asked the palace maids to get them."
This means she is not allowed to go out.
Qiao Tang smiled and said, "Looking at the flowers is one reason. Secondly, I've been in the palace for a while now and rarely meet people my age to talk to. Even Miss Wei has gone home. I wanted to find someone to chat with that day."
The hands around his waist moved, one of them withdrew, and he bent his knuckles and knocked on the table. Pei Chengjue remained silent for a long time.
Qiao Tang's scalp tingled as he finally smiled, "Sister, are you bored in the palace?" "That's not the case."
Qiao Tang answered quickly, blinking, "I wouldn't get tired of being with His Majesty. I only occasionally miss the time when we chatted with people outside the palace."
The half-truths and half-lies made Pei Chengjue hug her again, resting his head on her shoulder and pecking her ear with his thin lips, "I can't leave my sister at all."
It’s really difficult. Qiao Tang closed her eyes, but she had to leave the palace. If she didn’t go out, something would be delayed.
"By the way, sister." Pei Chengjue suddenly hugged her and stood up.
Qiao Tang was so shocked that she hugged Pei Chengjue's neck tightly, and watched Pei Chengjue holding her in his arms as he walked a few steps in the warm room and found a house deed in the rosewood cabinet beside the bed.
"I have already bought the house you liked and have arranged for your servants to stay. You can rest assured now."
Qiao Tang choked and couldn't find any other reason. She felt upset. After Pei Chengjue went out to meet the ministers, she lay down on the bed, pulling at the gauze curtain with her fingers.
Not long after, sleepiness came over me. I was half asleep when I heard a familiar voice coming from outside, "Your Majesty, it's my sister who's making trouble."
She lifted her heavy eyelids, but still couldn't wake up. Light and shadows were in chaos in her mind, and a scene suddenly jumped out.
The young man's frosty face remained unchanged. "Madam, you are becoming even more ridiculous."
She was so startled that she woke up instantly. Her mind was never so clear again. She jumped out of bed in a hurry and even forgot to put on her shoes.
But when she ran to the partition, her steps suddenly stopped. She saw Pei Chengjue looking at her in surprise with wide eyes, "Sister?"
Then Pei Chengjue's expression changed. He strode over and picked her up, holding her in his arms. "Why are you crying?"
Qiao Tang was about to touch her eyes in a daze, tears still streaming down her face. She murmured, "I heard..."
The next moment, Pei Chengjue couldn't help but kiss away the tear, making her afraid to move, let alone speak.
Could it be that she heard the voice of her deceased ex-husband?
She choked with sobs, "I heard Mammy think I was missing and kept calling me, just like when my mother was around and I was naughty and ran away, she would anxiously look for me..."
Nanny Wang is her wet nurse. She has been with her since she was born and treated her like her own daughter. She also loved and protected her after her parents passed away. She is currently living in the house bought by Pei Chengjue.
"It's my fault. Tomorrow I will order someone to bring Nanny Wang into the palace."
Pei Chengjue put her on the bed. She grabbed his sleeve and his eyes were red with pity and care. "Your Majesty, I want to go get it myself."
Pei Chengjue lowered his eyes, met those timid eyes, held Qiao Tang's hand with his backhand, and said slowly, "Okay, I hope you don't cry anymore."
As soon as he left, Qiao Tang immediately pulled down the gauze curtain to cover herself, her eyes rarely confused for a moment, and Pei Chengjue seemed to be very fond of this.
