As the elder spoke, he hoisted his tortoise onto his shoulder and headed toward the spiral staircase. Si Er and Yu Beixuan quickly followed.
The two followed him all the way to the top floor of the library and entered one of the secret rooms.
Inside the secret chamber was a set of jade ritual implements arranged like an assembly line. Blank jade slips would slide along the assembly line, fall into a wooden barrel, and then become filled with content.
Si'er asked curiously, "Is this a magical artifact specifically used for making rubbings?"
The elder nodded, manipulated the magic artifact a few times, and then told them to take the prepared blank jade slips.
Si Er handed over a storage ring: "That's all. I don't know if it's enough."
The elder then asked, "What about the books you plan to donate?"
Si Er handed over another storage ring: "It's all here."
The elder was stunned by the sheer number of books inside after just one glance. He glanced at it again…
