Chapter 69 "Is Mimi pretty?"
After the meal, Anmi came to collect the dishes.
Yan Jinnian picked up the phone next to him and handed it to her.
"It just fell out of your pocket."
"So that's where it was!" She quickly took it.
I couldn't find it while I was eating, and I thought I had left it somewhere in the restaurant.
She put her phone in her pocket: "Are you leaving now?"
Yan Jinnian nodded: "It's time to go back."
"Oh..." Anmi looked at him with some reluctance, "Then be careful~"
"Um."
Every year, she would stand up and cling to the car window.
Anmi patted its little head: "Go home and wait for me. Tell your sister I'll be back soon."
The car started.
She glanced behind her.
An Ting is tidying up in the kitchen and can't come out for the time being.
There was no one in the shop next door either; they must have finished eating and were watching TV in the back.
She ran to the driver's side window, clutching the plate in her hands.
"Yan Jinnian..."
The man, with one hand on the steering wheel, asked, "Hmm?"
Anmi tiptoed and looked at him expectantly.
Her big eyes shone with anticipation.
But the man, as dense as a blockhead, looked back into the car and asked, "Is there anything I forgot to take?"
"..."
Anmi blinked and shook her head: "No."
"Mmm." Yan Jinnian reached out and pinched her little face.
"Then I'm leaving."
"OK…"
As the car drove away, Anmi watched its taillights disappear into the night and sighed helplessly.
He... seems to have changed in some way...
Didn't he used to love kissing the most?
How come now...
Anyway... something's really wrong.
…
The next morning, Anmi received a call from the police station.
The person on the phone said that An Ting's money had been successfully recovered, and that they should bring their ID cards and bank cards to complete the formalities.
An Ting was overjoyed to hear this news!
I didn't expect them to recover it so quickly. The De County police are incredibly efficient!
The two went to the police station happily, and An Ting even bought some fruit for the staff there as a way of thanking them.
The procedures were completed very quickly, even faster than the last time I came.
After filling out the forms, all that's left is to go home and wait for the payment notification.
After thanking the investigators, the two returned to the shop.
The shopkeeper was chatting with a young man in a suit.
Seeing Anmi and the other girl return, the aunt waved excitedly: "Ah Ting, didn't you say you wanted to find the Ugly Girls group? They came to us on their own!"
The man came up and introduced himself: "Hello, Auntie, I am the person in charge of ChouTuan takeaway in Shuangye District. You can call me Xiao Wang."
Both An Ting and An Mi were somewhat surprised.
Why are there uninvited guests?
Especially after being scammed, An Ting became more vigilant.
He stared at Xiao Wang for a few moments, then waved his hand and said, "Thank you, but no need."
Anmi stopped her: "Mom, we can talk first."
An Ting snorted, "Last time we just chatted for a bit, and then the money was gone!"
She said to Xiao Wang in a less-than-friendly tone, "Don't blame me for being rude, it's just that I was fooled by you once and I'm afraid of being fooled again."
Xiao Wang smiled as he adjusted his glasses: "Auntie, I don't want you to encounter this kind of thing either, but I really am an employee of the Ugly Group. I have documents and proof of employment that I can show you."
An Ting doesn't believe in anything now; she just wants to get the person out.
Anmi helped her inside to sit down: "Don't worry, I'm here this time. I'll keep an eye on things for you, you definitely won't be scammed!"
She invited Xiao Wang in, and Xiao Wang, seeing that the other party was a young girl, knew that there would be no problem communicating with her, so he introduced her very carefully.
Anmi could tell the professionalism in his words.
Xiao Wang said, "I heard that this shop has been open for more than ten years and has many loyal customers. Our group is currently promoting local specialties and plans to turn this place into a nostalgic theme. We will renovate the shop for you for free."
Upon hearing this, An Ting immediately stopped being resistant.
He leaned closer: "Really?"
"real!"
Xiao Wang took out a stack of blueprints from his file bag.
"This is something we did for someone else before; you can take a look."
Anmi looked at the unfolded blueprints. The decorations on them were very distinctive and in line with the trends of online aesthetics in the past two years.
"A free renovation without spending a penny?" she asked again.
"Hmm!" Xiao Wang took out another stack of documents.
"With a contract as a guarantee, if you agree, we can have our workers come and start work tomorrow."
"!!"
This is truly a windfall.
"Honey, do you think it's believable?" An Ting asked her.
Anmi pondered for a moment.
"So what are the different parts of the fee you charge?"
Xiao Wang said, "The Ugly Group has an entry fee, platform service fee, and security deposit. But since this is a themed store, we can waive all fees for the first five years. If you do well afterwards, we'll see how to reduce the fees."
At this point, not only Anmi, but even Anting couldn't contain herself.
"Child, you mean you can help me open that ugly group and renovate the store without me spending a single penny, right?"
Xiao Wang nodded obediently: "Mmm!"
An Ting immediately stood up: "Then what are we waiting for? Let's get started!"
Xiao Wang smiled and said, "Okay, let's get the formalities done first, and I'll explain the rest to you later."
The whole afternoon was spent on getting this ugly group to join.
There were some other documents needed, such as business licenses, which An Ting didn't know how to obtain. Fortunately, Xiao Wang accompanied her and helped her with it.
Anmi didn't help at all throughout the whole process.
Once all the documents are submitted, all that's left is for the renovation to begin tomorrow.
Since she hadn't seen any concrete action, Anmi was still a little uneasy.
She decided to take another day off and stay here with Anting to observe the situation.
She took a deep breath, opened WeChat for business, and submitted a leave application to Tan Tao.
She was a little unsure about inviting people over again today, since she had just invited them yesterday.
I waited anxiously for an hour.
bite--
It was actually approved!!
Oh my god!
Anmi could hardly believe her eyes.
So far, everything seems to be going at a silky smooth pace, you could say it's going incredibly well!
Is it because An Ting has done so many good deeds that God is blessing her?
It should be!
After dinner, she hid under the covers and texted Yan Jinnian.
"Could you please take care of Mimi for one more day?"
The message has just been sent.
Ding ding dong ding ding~
Anmi looked down; on her phone screen, video call requests filled the entire page.
She subconsciously bit her lip.
An Ting was still downstairs discussing the renovation with her aunt for tomorrow.
She was the only one on the second floor.
She got up, rummaged through her bag for her earphones, then turned off the main light in the room, leaving only a small desk lamp on.
After plugging in her headphones and checking her pajamas to make sure they were appropriate, Anmi climbed into bed and answered the video call.
A patch of white skin instantly popped up on the screen.
Anmi's gaze swept over a pink hue in the upper left corner, and she couldn't help but cough.
A soft chuckle came through the earphones.
The camera panned up slightly, and the pale skin was replaced by a handsome and deep-set face.
Yan Jinnian must have just taken a bath; his slightly damp black hair hung down in front of his forehead, making his features appear deep and his eyes captivating.
Anmi's breath hitched for a moment, and she shyly looked away from the camera: "Where's Mimi?"
He didn't speak, but silently moved the camera down a little.
On the screen, between two gradually revealing pectoral muscles, a round little wasp was lying on its back in the crease, its little tail swaying back and forth contentedly.
The scene was filled with fluffy, fair, and pink colors, and Anmi's eyes were momentarily unsure where to focus.
A deep male voice came from the background.
"Is Mimi pretty?"
Anmi nodded.
"Of course Mimi is beautiful..."
...
etc! ! !
Something seems off!
A man's suppressed chuckle could be faintly heard through the earphones.
Anmi recalled his words one by one...
ah!
ah?
"Aaaaaaah!"
Realizing what was happening, Anmi quickly pulled the blanket over her head, her cheeks burning with rage.
The laughter in the headphones was intermittent, tinged with a hint of smugness.
Anmi regretfully pounded her pillow and groaned.
"That annoying Yan Jinnian!"
Who taught you to pronounce '蜜' with the first tone?
Huh?! What are you laughing at! Explain yourself!
Waaah! I can never look Mimi in the eye again.
